Diamond listened to him talking, and food was served, which smelled very delicious and tasted pretty good.

After he talked for a while, Diamond also started to respond.

"I have listened to what you are saying, and I can say that I truly understand where you are coming from and going to.

It’s always lonely at the top, but we never stop learning. Even a teacher learns something new every single day. Why? Because we are always evolving, and new ideas are always coming up.

What you know, and what I know are different. But if we combine the knowledge of the two together, the synergy would be so great. We can achieve greater things together."

While most of the times she appears lazy and reluctant to deal with important matters, Diamond was no longer an ignorant little girl who knows nothing.

To be honest, she only concocts when someone truly wants the pills. She wasn’t that dedicated to the job. after all, with so much to do, how could she continuously concoct?

However, she could share what she has. It wasn’t banned. She could give Lennox or the organization some recipes and formulas that they don’t have. let those with talent practice and with practice they will get better.

Lennox was surprised when he heard her offer. He has a master and understand how difficult it is for anyone, especially these grandmasters to share their secrets.

However, when he realized how easy-going Diamond was, seeing her chatting cheerfully with her friends without putting on airs, he became tempted and ended up eating with her in the same room.

He actually felt proud of his earlier decision. If he didn’t act impulsively, would this chance even end up on him?

He doubted.

"This .... Are you sure that you want to do so? I wouldn’t mind just getting some pointers!" nonetheless, Lennox understood boundaries.

It would be very shameful of him to just accept that without doing anything, right?

Seeing his hesitation, Diamond chuckled as he looked at the handsome man.

If I can do something to help you with that, I am glad. So, don’t overthink and just accept it," she cheerfully said, her tone very reassuring and even added, "consider it as me making a friend. This should be a good meeting gift, right? After all, thanks to you, I bagged quite a lot of money."

Upon hearing her answer, Lennox was at a loss of words. He had never seen someone so casual who would offer such help with a wave of a hand.

Even his master wasn’t so generous and to think that a stranger was generous, he couldn’t help but feel that she was truly a generous person. Thinking about how she likes doing these charitable projects with her fans, when looking at it with another point of view, it might seem like she is doing it for clout.

In fact, he even doubted if her actions were genuine, but with this one move, he was starting to believe that her heart was a kid and generous one. He felt ashamed of having misunderstood her and misjudging her.

Diamond had no clue about what Lennox was thinking. Her offer was also laced with some selfish reasons. The Levine family is a military family, and one which carries a lot of weight.

If she befriends a beloved child from that family, wont she be aligning herself with a powerful partner?

While her friends were rich, they weren’t on par with the Levine family at all.

Raya was good, but she comes from an ordinary family despite being a chief.

By surrounding herself with bigshots, she could have it easy as time goes. She is indeed a grandmaster but without that title, would the government even see her?

After considering the options, she felt like this move would build a foundation, and one she would be grateful for in the future.

Surely, Lennox who didn’t know about this was looking at Diamond as if she was an angel, and the way he looked at her changed for the better.

The two chatted fervently, exchanged some ideas as they continued to eat. When the meal finally came to an end, the time had also passed.

"I will check through my notes and send them over to you. You might gain some insights by looking through them," she generously offered, thinking about the numerous books inside the Golden Space, she once read to acquire knowledge on the alchemy subject.

Diamond also promised to give him an advanced pill formula, since he bought so many pills, and Lennox was very grateful.

He didn’t know what to give her in order to show this gratitude.

’I guess that I need to consult with Raya and see what she might like.’

Since he wanted to return a favor and give her a gift, asking her directly would remove the surprise in the whole ordeal. Asking someone who had worked with Diamond before would provide him with more insights.

The two exchanged numbers, became very much close, and with a year difference between them, they were like siblings.

And for the first time, Diamond, apart from liking this handsome and achiever of a man, didn’t have any lustful thoughts about a man at all.

Her mind was simply filled with admiration.

He was someone who worked from the bottom until he got to where he was, unlike her who got where she is through a cheat.

Not that she minded.

She would cheat any second of the day since heaven allowed it.

What did she have to fear?

"It was a pleasure to meet you, Lennox. When we have time, let’s sit down and have another talk," Diamond sincerely said, her face beaming as she chatted with Lennox.

It was the first time that she actually sat down and talked about alchemy with someone passionately like that.

This side of her, it was a side than not a lot of people know about or even understand. Even when she is with Raya, they barely talk about the topic and just move on to talk about the transactions. As for how the pills came to be, the struggles and the like, such talks never happened.

And yet with a man she just met, she had a great time exchanging information and had fun doing so.

Lennox was also feeling the same. Because of his taciturn character, he didn’t have many friends, and spend most of his time in his courtyard concocting. Without his butler who deals with most of his personal and business issues, who knows if he would have someone to talk to.

His master was in seclusion, improving himself and wouldn’t come out unless it was necessary.

Years of studying and practicing also made it hard for him to get along with his relatives and those around his age.

It was that bad, though he honestly never found any fault all this time.

And yet as this conversation came to an end, he couldn’t help but feel melancholic, and a little bit disturbed.

The man felt pretty much complicated.
