Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 114: So What If I Fight Back
Chapter 114: Chapter 114: So What If I Fight Back
She’s just looking for trouble!
If anywhere isn’t served perfectly, she takes it out on people!
Laura’s hand moves fast, and Summer Sutton can’t dodge in time.
The hits were ruthless, and Summer’s fair and clean little face immediately swells.
Out of the blue, she received two slaps, and her temper flared up.
"Why did you hit me? I was just doing what you asked, and it wasn’t my mistake!" She grabbed Laura’s wrist and questioned her.
Her position on set was insignificant, but that didn’t mean she could be bullied at will!
"So what if I hit you? What are you gonna do? Want to hit back?" Laura stood in front of her arrogantly, raised her hand, intending to slap her again.
This time, Summer Sutton was quick to grab her other wrist too.
Summer held her wrists with great force, her gaze sharp.
Laura’s eyes met hers, and she felt an inexplicable chill down her back.
"And what if I hit back?" Summer was never one to just take it lying down, even before she met Adrian; if anyone bullied her, if they gave her a slap, she’d certainly return it.
She raised her hand, ready to return the slap to Laura.
The staff on site were many, gathered around, all scared by her.
This was Laura Cloud!
One of the most popular actresses at the moment!
Directors and investors all have to cater to her, how could a mere assistant dare to strike?
Laura was clearly scared too, her face paler than a ghost.
"Security! Security!" She screamed in panic, hiding behind her assistant.
"What’s going on?" The security didn’t come, but the director hurried over.
"It’s her; she wants to hit people for no reason!" Laura pointed at Summer Sutton, feigned grievance.
Summer hadn’t actually hit her; her own face bore the marks. Anyone with sense could see what was really happening.
Moreover, Laura taking out her anger on people around her wasn’t a first-time occurrence; it’s been on the hot topics several times.
Yet, the director didn’t bother to ask, pointing at Summer Sutton, directly reprimanding, "You, starting tomorrow, don’t come back! Get lost now!"
Summer felt wronged but realized it was pointless to argue with this group.
Clearly, they weren’t interested in her explanation.
With no options, Summer stiffly stood there for a while, then turned to leave the filming scene.
The filming location was too remote; she’d just found a porridge shop after driving for forty minutes.
The car belonged to the set, not hers, and there were no buses nearby. She walked back to the city on foot.
In the freezing weather below zero degrees, standing in the snow made her shiver, and after a few hours walking back to Sutton Gardens, Summer Sutton was completely numb from the cold.
Adrian Walyon came back past six in the afternoon.
When he entered the house, the lights in the living room weren’t on.
Summer Sutton was curled up on the sofa, hugging herself, her head hung low, lost in thought.
Adrian sensed the unusual atmosphere as soon as he entered.
A few steps forward, he stared at her, "What’s wrong? Acting all gloomy over nothing?"
Summer kept her head down, ignoring him.
Adrian’s face darkened, and he forcibly lifted her head.
Summer’s expression was a bit flustered; she raised her hand trying to cover her face, but he saw it anyway.
Her face had prominent red marks; it wasn’t just fingerprints anymore — it was swollen.
Her palm-sized little face was completely swollen, shocking and distressing to see.
