Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 68: He is my future heir
If he weren’t infatuated with Qie Xieling he would have gone to the girl and gave her back the letter personally. That seemed like the most logical thing to do but he didn’t do that.
He decided to put the letter back in Qie Xieling’s desk on Monday without him knowing. With great care, he sealed the envelope again excitedly imagining that confession scene.

A soft red glow of ambers grew brighter and brighter as a man took a long drag of his cigarette. In front of him was an already full ashtray with several cigarette buds lying in the bed of ash.
He raised his cell phone and re-read that message over and over again. The corner of his lips quirked slightly as he snorted. That was just like Luo Shih’s style. She was sweet when she was in love but venomous to those she hated
His study door was suddenly pushed open and a woman dressed in a satin night dress with a strappy v-neckline walked in. She deliberately didn’t tie her matching nightgown to show off her sensual curves enhanced by the fabric of the night dress.
"Husband, are you planning on smoking yourself to death, huh?" she said and the man tilted his head to the side while gazing at her with a disinterested gaze.
She wasn’t deterred by his look. Instead, she walked over and stood beside him. With her perfectly manicured fingers, she reached over to touch his chest when her hand was suddenly grasped tightly.
He glared at her before saying in a calm tone, "You told Lee Ya about her half-brother?"
The woman’s eyes rippled with complex emotions but soon she put on a harmless smile before saying, "That bitch called you to complain?... I told you before if you let him be in the same school as our daughter there will be consequences. Weren’t you worried at all that that bastard might have designs on Ya Ya and fall in love with his half-sister? I was just letting her know to avoid any accidents."
The man chuckled softly while averting his gaze. He took another long drag and blew out a thick puff of smoke before saying, "You didn’t do it for that reason. There is no need to fuckin lie to me. You did it because you love chaos and fuckin things up."
The woman suddenly grabbed her husband’s tie and pulled him closer to herself till the tips of their noses were touching. "It’s not me that loves chaos. It’s their daddy who fucked up by getting two women pregnant at the same time," she whispered and leaned forward to kiss his lips but before their lips could touch he moved his head away.
She smiled evilly before saying, "Don’t forget the reason why you married me. One phone call and I can have your business and expensive projects confiscated by the government. Let’s see if you would ever catch up to GameX and avenge your father."
He looked into her eyes his gaze cold and unsettling but like a fierce beast forced to obey he didn’t say anything. She stroked his cheek and said, "Now, do your duty as a husband and fuck me," as she pushed everything on the desk away before sitting on it.

In a luxurious office with modern architectural design furniture and large panoramic windows overlooking the blue cloudy sky, Luo Shih had a rare serious expression while looking through some contracts.
Behind her was a large family portrait of three generations in her family and from the brushwork it was done by a professional artist. Her office door was suddenly knocked and without raising her head she answered, "Come in."
"Ma’am," said the secretary in a low voice but the man standing beside her pressed his finger on his lips gesturing for her to shut up.
Luo Shih had a meeting with an art gallery manager who was looking for funding so she didn’t overthink things. Without looking up she said, "Take a seat. I will be with you in a moment."
The large office fell into silence for a long while with the occasional sounds of flipping pages.
"You look even more attractive when you are serious," said a familiar voice that she hadn’t heard for years.
Luo Shih’s body froze for a moment before she let out a soft yet sinister chuckle. She raised her head and the laughter coming from her died down abruptly her eyes dark as ink.
"Get out," she said and the handsome man stood tall unmoved by her aggressive eyes.
He pulled up the seat in front of her and sat down in a not-so-humble posture. "I want to see my son," he said and Luo Shih didn’t respond.
She just stared at him with a look of disgust before reaching under her desk and taking out her father’s service pistol. She placed it on the desk her fierce gaze fixed on him.
"Say it again, I dare you," she said but the man wasn’t intimidated by her.
"Ah-Shih, you don’t want to go against me on this. I can go today in front of a judge and persuade them that your messy love life isn’t conducive for raising our son and you know they will give me custody of him," he said using his wife’s status as the daughter of the senior military advisor to the office of the president as his backing.
Luo Shih sneered as she raised the pistol and aimed it at him. Her finger was off the trigger but she looked like she would fire it at any moment.
Recalling how this man left her looking stupid at the alter her heart grew cold. "If you dare... I will kill you and your entire family with no hesitation. I have left you in peace from the day you left me without an explanation so don’t test me. Me retreating doesn’t mean weakness," she said and President Lee suddenly smiled,
"God, how I still love you."
Luo Shih wasn’t a silly little girl anymore. She would be stupid if she believed his words. She put away the service pistol and said, "Show yourself out."
President Lee knew his words meant nothing to her thus he moved on to his true purpose. "I won’t force you to let me see him but you should at least tell him about me..." he said but Luo Shih ignored him.
President Lee sighed before saying again, "I heard about the incident at school. To reduce conflict send him to another school... even abroad. I know he was accepted to Le Rosey so why hold him back? He is my future heir and naturally should be given the best."
Luo Shih: "..."
