Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 58: ... behave yourselves,"
Qie Xieling felt funny after reading this out loud. Damn, why did it feel like he was confessing to Luo Muchen?
As though to back this strange thought the class clown Teng Fei couldn’t help but whistle before congratulating the new couple.
Qie Xieling wasn’t polite. He raised his middle finger at him but when he remembered the teacher was beside him he clenched his fist and hid his hand behind his back. He sighed in relief when he saw that teacher Zhu hadn’t seen it.
"Don’t fall in love early, okay? Give the letter back to the girl and let her know what I said," said teacher Zhu while the girls giggled at Teng Fei’s words.
When he passed by Teng Fei’s desk the young man whispered, "Call us when it’s time to drink your wedding wine."
Qie Xieling whispered back, "Fuck you."
Teng Fei wasn’t at all offended. He went on to say, "No thanks. Your husband will be jealous."
Sounds of laughter and jeers followed and Qie Xieling’s steps paused. This joker was seriously looking for a beating.
Teacher Zhu glanced over and said, "Fei, do you want to clean the classroom for a month, huh? If not then I advise you to keep your mouth shut."
After that warning, the entire class fell silent but this wasn’t the end of the matter. In a small corner of the forum, a very inconspicuous group of girls formed a group where the ship XieMu was sailing without an anchor.
Qie Xieling sprawled into his chair and flipped through his chemistry notebook to take notes absentmindedly. Luo Muchen wanted to say something but seeing that teacher Zhu was attentive to the class while explaining something he decided to keep his mouth shut.
His lips suddenly quirked when he thought of something. He took a sticky note and wrote down the words ’I like you too’ before pushing the paper over with his lips pursed. Qie Xieling thought he wanted to say something serious but when he read it he gave him the ’are you fucking kidding me’ look.
Luo Muchen knew Qie Xieling wouldn’t take it seriously but he couldn’t help but be expectant. Qie Xieling’s response was unexpected though.
He directly pinched Luo Muchen’s thigh and the boy couldn’t help but jerk forward causing his desk to make a loud screeching sound as it moved forward.
Teacher Zhu: "..."
He couldn’t help but want to separate the two. Luo Muchen was incredibly smart and Qie Xieling was, well, sort of smart except in subjects he had no interest in. He was an infamous slacker when it came to subjects he disliked and the only reason he was passing was because he was sitting next to Luo Muchen.
The class president would hound Qie Xieling until he had written all his homework and done revision. The downside was that sometimes during class things like this would happen.
"Do you two want to stand up for the rest of the class?" he asked and Qie Xieling shook his head vigorously while Luo Muchen replied,
"No sir."
"So behave yourselves," he said before making an I am watching you gesture. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

One would think Qie Xieling would learn from his mistakes but nope. He kept receiving Luo Muchen’s love letters and would read them. Did this irritate Luo Muchen? Yes, it did but he would imagine Qie Xieling was the one who wrote those letters so it was a win-win scenario.
It was a part of his schoolday that Luo Muchen looked forward to and he had even secretly recorded some of these confessions so he could listen to them before he fell asleep.
The thing that he didn’t look forward to though was this Min Jian or as others called him the school tyrant. He and his four minions would find trouble with him whenever they had the chance. They weren’t anything he couldn’t handle but they were still a nuisance.
He noticed that when he was with Qie Xieling they wouldn’t dare approach him. They would just glare from afar like hyenas afraid of a pride of lions.
Luo Muchen didn’t necessarily put them in his eyes but when they were in year ten this idiot finally pushed his buttons. There was a rumour that had been going around for a while now but because he didn’t give a damn about teenage gossip he ignored it.
It was a rumour that his mother was a mistress and a homewrecker. He lived with his mother so he should know that his mother was no one’s mistress let alone a homewrecker.
Luo Muchen was at the basketball court playing against the senior class during after-class sports. The class he happened to be playing against was year eleven and he was mopping the floor with them. Min Jian tried to play dirty several times but how could Luo Muchen let him have his way?
Knowing that he couldn’t fuck with Luo Muchen he started going for his teammates. If it happened once it could be considered an accident but twice made his actions very deliberate. Luo Muchen had someone substitute for the boy who got hurt and after that, he gave back twice the pain to Min Jian.
Min Jian fell back with a grimace bruising his ass on the way down but he still managed to get up and stand right in Luo Muchen’s face in an intimidating stance.
"What’s wrong? Can’t take the heat?" said Luo Muchen giving back his words to him. Min Jian lost his cool at that moment and shoved Luo Muchen.
Luo Muchen staggered back but he didn’t struggle to steady his feet. With crazed eyes Min Jian stepped forward intending to shove him again but this time Luo Muchen clutched his collar and tossed him to the ground harshly.
Afraid he would beat this fucker to death he grabbed his towel and walked out of the court. Min Jian sat up from the ground and found that everyone was looking at him with either looks of disdain or pity and his friends looked embarrassed. He clenched his fist and got up. Like a bull, he charged towards Luo Muchen who was already a great distance away.
His friends ran after him to help. He violently reached over to pull down Luo Muchen by the back of his collar but he was blindsided.
Luo Muchen dodged like he had eyes at the back of his head and before he knew it Min Jian was punched in the gut.
Min Jian saw black spots from the heavy blow. He struggled to breathe but it seemed the pain was bearable because he still had the nerve to talk shit.
