Chapter 574: First date?

"Don’t worry. It’s quiet where I am taking you," he said and his voice was deep and warm sending shivers all over Qie Xieling’s body.

He bit his lower lip slightly a little hesitant. Luo Muchen saw his hesitation and continued to convince him. "I promise I will have you home by ten. Come," he said while rubbing Qie Xieling’s wrist gently, his fingers tracing the delicate bones beneath the skin.

He could feel the warmth of his skin under his touch, a sensation that he longed for for a long time.

How could Qie Xieling say no? He nodded his head and Luo Muchen’s smile grew as he opened the door for him. Qie Xieling sat down and Luo Muchen closed the door before going around to the driver’s side.

Qie Xieling’s phone suddenly buzzed and he found that it was the driver uncle. He apologised and sent him a red envelope. He sent his parents messages letting them know that he was with Luo Muchen. He was pretty sure if he didn’t inform them he would be grounded for life.

He suddenly felt Luo Muchen’s eyes on him so he looked at him only to be met by a dazzling smile that melted his heart. Qie Xieling before the game had always looked at Luo Muchen through the lens of a close friend so he never admired him in that way. Now looking at him he now saw what those girls saw. He had a handsome face, with sharp features and piercing eyes. He had a muscular body, with broad shoulders and long legs. He exuded a confident and charismatic personality, one that could charm anyone.

"Who were you texting?" Luo Muchen asked, his voice deep and smooth.

"My parents. I don’t want to worry them," Qie Xieling answered, his voice high and nervous. "I told them I am with you."

"And your father? Is he fine with it?" he asked, his voice gentle. He was pretty sure that Qie Xieling had no idea about the conversation he had with his father and how competitive the two of them became causing a commotion.

"I think he is okay with it. Don’t worry about him," he said locking his phone. His father had said he was fine with anyone he dates but he had a feeling he would get a barrage of rules soon after that.

Their car fell into an awkward silence for a while. Neither of them spoke but they were keenly aware of each other’s presence. When Luo Muchen changed the gears Qie Xieling’s body would tense up with his sense tickling excitedly. When he turned the signal lights on Qie Xieling would feel the hairs on his arm stand on.

His reactions were all purely out of anticipation. Each time Luo Muchen moved he would imagine his hand touching his thigh, his shoulder and even his... Welp, if he learnt anything new about himself from this game it was that he was addicted to Luo Muchen that even in the real world he was yearning and craving his touch intensely. He even imagined them doing it in the car like in the other world.

He bit his lip and turned his head away watching the city lights blur past them, and he felt a thrill of excitement.

Luo Muchen drove them up a winded road for five minutes before stopping at a city view park, a secluded spot on a hill that overlooked the entire city. He parked the car and turned off the engine his heart beating hard on his chest. He was extremely nervous but he tried to calm his nerves.

He looked at Qie Xieling, and smiled again while saying, "We are here?"

Of course, they were here and Qie Xieling could see that but he didn’t know what else to say. He beat himself up internally for being stupid.

"It’s so beautiful, so peaceful, so... quiet," he said while whispering internally, "and romantic," which he didn’t dare say out loud.

Qie Xieling nodded, his mouth dry. He followed Luo Muchen’s gaze and saw the city below them. It was indeed beautiful, with millions of lights shining like stars. He felt a sense of awe and a sense of wonder. He felt like he was in a dream, a fantasy, a fairy tale. It was... romantic.

He turned his head and saw Luo Muchen’s face. It was also beautiful, with the street lamp reflecting on his skin. He felt a surge of emotion and a surge of desire. He felt like he wanted to kiss him, to touch him, to hold him. He felt like he wanted to tell him everything, to confess his feelings, to bare his soul.

"Do you want to take a look outside?" he asked and Qie Xieling snapped out of it. His face burning with embarrassment from his obscene thoughts he opened the car door and stepped out. He felt a sense of relief as the suffocating feeling that was constraining him just now dissipated.

He stretched out like a cat after sleeping in the sun and the cool wind blew away the warmth in his cheeks. Just when he felt relieved Luo Muchen suddenly stepped in front of him and offered him a blanket.

"Do you feel cold? I brought this just in case," he said and Qie Xieling felt a chill creeping up underneath his skin but it wasn’t from the cold. He had a jacket on.

Qie Xieling smiled while taking a step creating some distance between them. If he stayed any closer to him he was afraid he would expose himself.

Luo Muchen cursed Hei Xiwen in his heart. It was all his fault. He shouldn’t have gotten advice from someone who had been in the same predicament as him.

Qie Xieling leaned against the front of the car watching the sea of lights like he was watching the northern lights. It was not as beautiful as the interstellar world stars but it was still wonderful to look at.

When he heard the sound of Luo Muchen’s footsteps beside him he asked, "How beautiful do you think the lights would look from space?"
