Chapter 573: Reunion

Qie Xieling saw a familiar silhouette leaning nonchalantly against a sleek sports car. Half of the figure was bathed in a soft glow making him appear otherworldly.

Luo Muchen looked effortlessly cool, his sharp features highlighted by the gentle light. Qie Xieling’s heart raced as he realised that Luo Muchen was standing there, almost as if he was waiting for someone.

Caught off guard his steps faltered, freezing in place as a wave of nervousness washed over him.

Luo Muchen looked up and saw Qie Xieling. He pulled down the brim of his cap, hiding his eyes. His lips curled into a smirk. He pushed himself off the car and walked towards Qie Xieling, his steps confident and casual. Qie Xieling felt his legs turn to jelly.

As Luo Muchen sauntered in his direction he started weighing his options. If he ran back to the house, Luo Muchen would be able to catch up with him in two steps.

Since running away wasn’t an option he decided to face him head on. He was going to act cool and indifferent. He would say hi and ask him why he was there. Well, that was the plan but it quickly fell apart.

He suddenly felt Luo Muchen’s intense gaze on him, making him blush. When Luo Muchen stopped a few feet from him he said, "Hey, ho—," but he cut off mid-sentence when he heard his quivering high-pitched voice. He sounded like a cat that had fallen into a bathtub and was now drenched from head to toe. Qie Xieling covered his lips feeling quite embarrassed. ’Damn it, that wasn’t cool at all,’ he thought wishing the ground could open up and swallow him whole.

Luo Muchen didn’t give him the opportunity to wallow in his misery. He grabbed his wrist and pulled him into his arms. He wrapped his arms around Qie Xieling, pulling him close to his chest. He buried his face in Qie Xieling’s hair, breathing in the scent that evoked a sense of warmth and comfort in him. It was a delicious blend of sweet and creamy making Luo Muchen want to take a bite.

He felt a surge of emotion, a mix of relief, joy, and fear. He had wanted this for so long, but he was afraid that Qie Xieling would reject him, or worse, disappear from his life. He tightened his grip as if to reassure himself.

Qie Xieling gasped, surprised by Luo Muchen’s sudden embrace. He felt his heart pounding against his chest, and his warm breath on his neck. He hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to react. Then he relaxed, and slowly wrapped his arms around Luo Muchen’s waist. He felt Luo Muchen’s heat enveloping him and its tentacles slowly creeping toward his heart. Everything else faded away as they stood in each other’s embrace. He closed his eyes and leaned into Luo Muchen’s embrace. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

At that moment, the air between them crackled with unspoken words and hidden emotions, the streetlight casting a surreal glow on their entwined figures.

The night was dark and quiet, except for the occasional sound of a car passing by or a dog barking in the distance. The street was empty, except for the two of them standing under the dim light of the streetlamp. They were hugging each other, oblivious to the world around them.

Luo Muchen clasped Qie Xieling’s jacket tightly as he whispered, "I missed you."

Qie Xieling turned his face slightly while chuckling softly. He wanted to ask how he missed him when they were together all this time in the game but before he could say that he felt Luo Muchen’s moist lips brush against his neck. An electric current surged through his body, making him stiffen involuntarily. Afraid that Qie Xieling would be mad he pretended like he hadn’t noticed and released Qie Xieling from his embrace and stepped back with a playful grin.

Their eyes met, filled with unspoken emotions. Qie Xieling cleared his throat before asking, "Why are you here?"

Luo Muchen took off his ball cap and raked his fingers through his hair that had been freshly cut and said, "I couldn’t wait for tomorrow... I wanted to see you."

When he said he wanted to see him. He truly meant it. He tried to stay away but it was driving him nuts. Unable to stay still he messaged Bo Ailun. He was trying to find out if Bo Ailun had seen Qie Xieling yet.

Who would have thought that Qie Xieling was with him? He had to ask for Bo Ailun’s help. He told him that he had upset Qie Xieling and wanted to talk to him. After selling misery for a long time, Bo Ailun agreed. He told him he would refuse for Qie Xieling to sleep over and he could come and pick him up. Luo Muchen thanked him and told him that he now owed him a favour.

Qie Xieling who had no idea that he had been sold by his best friend was completely oblivious when he stepped out of the house. "I am sorry," said Luo Muchen as he reached out and held his wrist.

Qie Xieling wasn’t upset. He was taken aback a little, that’s all. "No need for that," he replied while staring down at the hand wrapped around his wrist. It felt scorching hot like it could burn through his skin.

He wanted to press Luo Muchen against the car and kiss him... hard. The urge was growing stronger by the second.

Luo Muchen tilted his head up to meet his lowered gaze and asked, "What’s wrong?" He knew what was wrong but he was extremely reluctant to let go of Qie Xieling’s hand. He had always wanted to do this for a very long time and now that he had the chance he couldn’t help himself. As long as Qie Xieling didn’t voice it then he wouldn’t let go.

"Nothing. Are you going to take me home?" he asked but Luo Muchen shook his head no.

Qie Xieling was a little disappointed but he didn’t show it. "I want to take you somewhere first," he suddenly said and Qie Xieling’s brow arched.

"The only places open at this hour are bars and restaurants. I am not in the mood to go to crowded places," said Qie Xieling and his heart he continued, ’I would rather we go somewhere like my bedroom for instance.’ After hearing himself Qie Xieling couldn’t help but blush.
