Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 184: K-I-S-S-I-N-G
But to his surprise, the noise went further and further away. Qie Xieling smiled sweetly looking so happy.

In the dimly lit forest, tension hung heavy in the air as Yana and King Luo confronted each other. The animosity between them crackled like static electricity, fueled by years of deep-seated resentment.
When he walked in and found her lying on top of Qie Xieling he was suddenly filled by an inexplicable rage. He saw red like a raging bull grabbing her by the hair out of the tent. He had never been this angered in his entire life. The rage he felt at this moment was even greater than when he was betrayed.
Seeing that finger touching Qie Xieling’s bare chest drove him so mad that he just wanted to break all her fingers so she wouldn’t dare lay her filthy hands on him ever again.
They were surely born from the same seed because Yana’s rage also reached its boiling point after she was dragged away by the hair. That was the most humiliating thing in her life.
Consumed by a wave of fury, she lunged toward him, intending on inflicting harm. But before her attack landed, she was intercepted and forcefully dragged further into the forest.
As he dragged Yana away, a fiery determination burned in King Luo’s eyes. Although he was currently weaker than Yana, his burning rage made his actions very aggressive.
Sensing an opportunity to assert himself, he stepped forward and confronted Yana amidst the tall trees.
With every ounce of strength he could muster, King Luo channelled his energy into casting spells, attempting to overpower Yana. Despite her skill in combat, Yana found herself struggling to keep up with his rage.
His unpredictability and the intensity of his attacks caught her off guard, forcing her to defend herself rather than press her own advantage.
Just when she thought things couldn’t get worse another party joined the fight. With Jolie’s supporting King Luo, Yana’s confidence lessened. It was obvious this was a fight she was never going to win thus out of spite she landed a devastating blow on King Luo.
Realising her perilous situation, she chose to retreat, utilizing a hidden ability she possessed. Just like that, she vanish into thin air leaving just the way she came. With a swift motion, Yana disappeared, leaving King Luo and Jolie perplexed and filled with a mix of frustration and anger.
Having exhausted so much of his strength and the injury inflicted on him he clutched his chest as his knee softened. He collapsed into a half-kneeling position.
"Do you need help?" asked Jolie and King Luo shook his head.
He struggled to get up to his feet with the veins on his temples and neck throbbing. Jolie watched him stagger back to the camp and ignored Yunning and Boran’s concern.
He had one thing in mind. To be exact he had one person in mind.
When he got to the tent, he found the person sitting upright while drinking from a waterskin. At first glance, he thought Qie Xieling was drinking water but when he saw the red liquid spilling over at the corner of the man’s lips he knew that wasn’t water but wine.
He hurriedly walked over and grabbed it from his hand before scolding him his voice trembling with a mixture of concern and frustration as he shouted, "Don’t you have any sense of self-preservation? How can you drink this at a time like this where we can get attacked at a moment’s notice? If I didn’t come to check on you what would have happened, huh?!" Suddenly King Luo who barely said a couple of words had a lot to say.
Outside Boran and Yunning eavesdropped. If it weren’t for Jolie stopping them from entering they would have gone in.
"Stop yelling at me and go comfort Yunning. She is probably sacred." After saying this he lay on his side with his back at King Luo.
King Luo suddenly used the last of his energy to create a barrier blocking anyone from hearing their conversation and barring anyone from entering.
"Lin Lin," he suddenly blurted out and Qie Xieling jolted up squinting his eyes at him like he was trying to figure something out.
"Muchen?" he whispered his mind confusing his current reality with the real world. "Mu Mu," he said his voice sounding so aggrieved.
Luo Muchen’s heart skipped a beat as he looked at him. He suddenly wanted to embrace him and stroke his hair while comforting him. He staggered over and stood by his side unable to make a move.
With a gentle yet firm grip, Qie Xieling pulled King Luo down to sit beside him on the bed. King Luo was forced to sit down next to him and the sudden proximity caused his heart to race even faster.
As King Luo settled down next to Qie Xieling, their bodies unintentionally collided. King Luo’s breath hitched, and his eyes widened as he found himself staring into Qie Xieling’s deep, captivating gaze. At that moment, time seemed to freeze, and an electric charge hung heavily in the air between them.
King Luo’s attention shifted to Qie Xieling’s lips, which glistened slightly in the soft light of the room. A sudden urge overwhelmed him, compelling him to reach out and touch them, to feel their softness against his fingertips.
But before he could act on his impulse, Qie Xieling’s hand shot out, gripping King Luo’s wrist gently yet firmly.
Startled, he felt a pang of guilt, thinking he had crossed a line by allowing his desires to take over. His heart sank, and he looked away, preparing to apologise. But to his astonishment, Qie Xieling leaned in closer, his warm breath brushing against King Luo’s lips.
And then, in a tender and unexpected gesture, Qie Xieling pressed his lips against King Luo’s in a gentle, fleeting kiss.
Time seemed to freeze as their lips met, and a surge of warmth spread through King Luo’s entire being. The kiss was brief, but at that moment, it held an immense power. It was a declaration of something unspoken, an acknowledgement of the connection they shared.
As they pulled away, their eyes locked once again, and King Luo could see a mix of vulnerability and longing in Qie Xieling’s gaze. It was a silent invitation, an unspoken question that hung between them, begging to be answered.
"Do you know who I am?" asked King Luo an overwhelming fear that Qie Xieling only kissed him because he thought he was someone else,
took hold of him. That kiss had snapped the last of his rationality. Now he wanted this person regardless of the consequence. His possessive nature wouldn’t let Qie Xieling be with anyone else other than himself.
