Chapter 178: Biting someone’s nipp... I mean bead hehehe

Yana’s eyes burned with defiance even as her body remained locked in place. "I am not weak," she hissed through clenched teeth. "I am a queen, and I will not be belittled by you or anyone else."

Loviatar chuckled, a cold, mirthless sound that echoed through the chamber. "Oh, my dear child," she said, her voice dripping with condescension.

"You may wear a crown, but you are still nothing more than a puppet in the grand scheme of things. Your emotions, your desires, they mean nothing in the face of true power. This is the reason why your father never gave you the throne in the first place... but you can prove him wrong, prove me wrong."

Yana’s heart pounded within her chest, a mix of defiance and fury fueling her determination. She refused to accept her mother’s words as truth, refused to be reduced to a mere pawn in her divine games.

With every ounce of her will, she strained against the invisible restraints, her eyes narrowing with determination. She would break free, she would prove herself, and she would never allow herself to be subjugated by Loviatar’s cruel whims again.

But as the minutes stretched on, the queen’s efforts began to wane. The overwhelming power of her mother’s divine grasp held her firmly in place, crushing her spirit and leaving her feeling helpless.

Loviatar observed her daughter’s struggle with an air of indifference, her eyes glinting with superiority. "Remember," she whispered, her voice a venomous hiss. "Don’t disappoint me."

With those haunting words, Loviatar vanished, leaving Queen Yana alone in the dimly lit throne room, frozen and seething with a newfound resolve.

Her eyes widened having recalled the Dragonheart scales in her possession. She knew without them, Luo was a sitting duck. He should have died without them. In fact, he was vulnerable in that state and it was Eling’s responsibility to kill him but of course, he failed.

She rushed into her chamber and turned all her drawers apart while looking for them. After a while she pulled out a treasure chest with an unsettling maniacal laughter. There they were, dazzling under the candlelight. She caressed them with an obsessive sinister smile. Yana suddenly realised, if she wanted something done she had to do it herself.

Qie Xieling was so exhausted from walking. All his muscles ached and his legs were sore. Unable to take it anymore, he decided to protest. The horses had run off to who knows where with the fancy carriage when they were attacked so he had no choice but to walk.

"I can’t anymore. The sun is scorching and my back hurts. Everything hurts. I am sitting down.... ah, what the fuck?!" The cursing at the end was because something had bit his nipple. Yes, his nipple.

King Luo had been comfortably sleeping absorbing the sweet essence. He felt so content in his sleep that he shuffled around in comfort. While wiggling around in there his maw suddenly stumbled upon something fleshy. He licked it accidentally on purpose and the taste was out of this world.

A lick turned into a bite. The next thing he knew he was being yelled at. He was pulled out of those clothes but King Luo held on to Eling’s waist refusing to let go.

"You... ah fuck. You bit me argh! Muchen if you weren’t m-," he yelled only for Jolie to shake her head and tell him to stop talking.

Realising his mistake, Qie Xieling shut his mouth but the words had already been said. King Luo forgot why Eling was yelling at him because his main focus was on the name Muchen.

The system that had long stopped flashing the messages after Qie Xieling muted it, showed up and the effects weren’t pretty.

’Warning, host has violated the rules and guidelines. Commence level three punishment.’

Before Qie Xieling could even comprehend the gravity of his situation, an invisible force seized control of his body. His limbs were rendered useless as his muscles froze on the spot. Panic surged through him as he tried to break free from the invisible restraints, but his efforts were in vain. Then, the pain came.

It started as a dull ache, like a thousand tiny needles pricking at his skin. But it quickly escalated, intensifying into an excruciating torment that engulfed his entire being. Qie Xieling’s muscles tensed, his veins throbbing beneath his skin. He gritted his teeth, fighting back a scream that threatened to escape his lips.

"Shit shit shit," swore Jolie as she rushed over to help him.

"What’s wrong with you?" asked King Luo the anxiety in his voice evident.

Qie Xieling’s vision blurred, his consciousness hanging by a thread. The pain was unbearable, overwhelming every fibre of his being. He tasted blood as he bit down on his tongue, desperately trying to maintain control. But his body betrayed him, and the darkness crept into the edges of his vision.

As the world around him faded, Qie Xieling’s body finally succumbed to the torment. He collapsed to the ground, his limbs splayed in a twisted, agonising pose.

He could hear voices in the distance but he couldn’t make out what they were saying.

King Luo tried to use magic to heal him but with his strength, he couldn’t help much. "Don’t waste your magic, it won’t work. We have tried it before," said Yunning as she crossed her arms on her chest but there seemed to be some glee in her voice.

Boran was very anxious. This was happening more often than it should and he didn’t know if Eling had an incurable illness.

"What do you mean it won’t work?" asked King Luo a little confused.

Jolie placed a folded cloth underneath his head while saying, "We need to rest here. We aren’t going anywhere."

After saying that Jolie took out the tent. She was already thinking of ways to torment the system till it regretted being created into existence.

King Luo, on the other hand, wasn’t about to let this go. He just had to wait for the opportune time to interrogate Jolie. He had to find out what was happening with Eling. He couldn’t afford to let him die.
