Chapter 63 -63: Feeling the Money-Making Speed Slowed Down
While waiting for Annie’s teacher’s response, Jason had already cleaned the warehouse and was carrying two large garbage bags to throw the unwanted things into the trash bin outside the warehouse.
Sean locked the door and carried two chairs towards Warehouse No.1.
Annie hurried to catch up.
At Warehouse No.1, Sean put the chairs aside and unlocked the lock.
Annie asked curiously:
“Is this your first time doing this? You seem quite proficient, but this is the first time I’ve seen you here.”
“I’ve done this in other places,” Sean vaguely said, “not around here.”
Annie responded with an “Oh,” as if she suddenly understood.
“There aren’t many Chinese people who do this.”
As Sean was moving things out, he said:
“Yes, after all, there are not many Chinese people, and many of them are from wealthy families who wouldn’t do this type of work.”
The two chatted casually, then Annie’s mobile phone rang.
“Annie, these two chairs are fantastic! From the video you sent, they’re genuine! Help me get them!”
James on the other side was very excited: “I’ll transfer the money to you now, as long as it’s no more than 1,500 dollars per chair, you can make the decision!”

After hanging up, Annie, feeling excited, raised her small fist and asked Sean:
“Sean, my teacher wants to buy these two chairs. What price do you plan to put on them?”
“I think 1,400 dollars per chair is a reasonable price,” Sean smirked, as he had heard James’s voice on the phone clearly, even though Annie’s phone volume was not loud.
“This price…” Annie’s face turned slightly red as she had intended to haggle.
But Sean had helped her before, and now it’s clear that the price is precisely within the range James had given, so she didn’t know what to say.
The phone rang again. Annie looked down, and James’ transfer had arrived.
Annie gritted her teeth:
“Well, deal!”
The loudness of her voice even surprised herself!
However, it felt great to shout like that!
After transferring the money to Sean, Annie carefully wrapped the chairs again. Jason helped her carry the chairs out and loaded them into the truck, and Annie happily drove away.
“Bosun, I feel like the money-making speed here is not as fast as it is at the port!” Jason scratched his head.
“Don’t think too much about it for now.” Sean laughed, “We’re just taking a break. In the end, we have to go back.”
Yes. Although Sean planned to lay low for a while, he didn’t intend to hide forever.
As soon as he finds out who is behind all this, Sean plans to strike back!
This matter cannot be considered settled!
After clearing out some old furniture, Jason cheerfully said:
“We could sell these for a few hundred dollars!”
Sean had Jason move the furniture to the pickup truck.
After the furniture was moved, all that was left were a few boxes and garbage.
Sean asked Jason to clean up the garbage and put it into the black trash bags they brought with them.
He then opened the jewelry suitcase, opened the jewelry box, took a photo, and sent it to Mr. John.
Mr. John called back quickly:
“Sean, your luck is truly astonishing! Did you find these in the warehouse?”
“Yes,” Sean said, “I want to find a suitable buyer for these little darlings.”
“Last time Angela Brown was a good one.” Mr. John said, “She manages a shopping center that has a gold store. These second-hand pieces of jewelry are worth buying for her.”
Mr. John suggested Sean call Angela. Sean thought about it and made the call.
Angela answered the call quickly:
“Sean, have you missed me?”
Oh——!
Sean hadn’t expected Angela to be so bold. He felt a bit awkward and had no choice but to say, “I have a batch of secondhand jewelry here. I don’t know if you need it?”
“Yes, yes, yes!” Angela raised her voice excitedly, “Is it genuine? Is the source legal? Do you have any photos?”
“It comes from a warehouse, completely legal. I have photos; I will send them to you right now.”
Sean sent the photos, and Angela quickly called back:
“I have a jewelry expert here; can you come over so we can discuss the price?”
Angela sent an address. Sean checked it out but wasn’t familiar with the place.
Thankfully, mobile phones have navigation.
When Jason returned, the two of them cleaned up the garbage in the warehouse, and the furniture could just about fit into the pickup truck.
After handing over the warehouse to the administrator, Sean drove back to the port.
“Jason, you are responsible for selling this furniture, and we will split the final profit in half.”
Jason grinned and agreed.
At Jason’s arrangement, Eiris and Malawi quickly unloaded the truck.
Freya had already prepared food, and Sean quickly devoured a bowl of rice before driving off with a lingering taste in his mouth.
When he arrived, Angela was waiting impatiently at the entrance of the shopping center.
“Sean, why did it take you so long?” She complained as he got out of the car.
“The warehouse is quite far from here,” Sean said awkwardly. “We had to clean up the garbage inside before leaving.”
“Alright, alright, let’s hurry up.” Angela saw Sean carrying the jewelry box and quickly grabbed his arm, rushing them inside.
There was a jewelry counter inside the shopping center. Angela pulled Sean to it, and said to a middle-aged man at the counter:
“Pierre, could you please take a look at these pieces of jewelry?”
Sean put down the jewelry box and opened it.
Pierre picked up a gold bracelet, examined it, and said confidently:
“Cartier jewelry, old model, probably from ten years ago. It’s genuine, and the condition is not bad.”
He then picked up a diamond ring, examined it with a magnifying glass, measured it, and said:
“The quality of the diamond on this ring is good; it’s just a bit small, only 0.7 carats.”
After examining all the jewelry, he finally appraised them.
There were seventeen pieces in total, mostly gold jewelry.
The gold on these pieces weighed over two hundred grams, amounting to more than 10,000 US dollars. With the addition of gemstones, the final offer to Sean was 21,000 dollars.
Sean gladly accepted.
Who said warehouses weren’t profitable?
This was quite a profit!
Taking the money, Sean waved goodbye to Angela and left.
Angela shouted to his leaving figure:
“Sean, do you want to have a drink tonight?”
“No, I have an appointment.”
Having an appointment was indeed impossible.
Right now, Sean had no mood for any appointments, as his mind was occupied with making money.
Money for the lawyer was one issue, but the bigger problem was Joanna!
He had slept with her, so he should at least be responsible, right?
Sean was never the kind of person to dodge responsibility after having fun!
Along with Jason, Sean quickly headed to another warehouse.
There were three warehouses up for auction today, and Sean hoped to win at least one of them.
When they arrived and registered with the warehouse manager, Sean couldn’t help but laugh at the familiar treasure hunters he saw.
The big-bearded man and the chubby white guy were both there!
It seemed like these two were seasoned veterans in the warehouse treasure hunting business!
