Road to becoming the wealthiest: Starting From Treasure Hunting in the Cabinets-Chapter 64 - This Spider is Not Bad
Chapter 64: Chapter 64: This Spider is Not Bad!
Chapter 64 -64: This Spider is Not Bad!
In the city or warehouses close to the urban area, they are all indoors like this. There are several layers, each with small rooms and rolling gates.
Auction Warehouse One was located further inside. The auctioneer, together with the security guard, arrived at the location and stated the rules. Everyone urged the auctioneer to get started.
The auctioneer didn’t mind, smiling casually at the jokes made by those guys while he gestured for the security guard to unlock the warehouse.
The security guard cut the lock, lifted the rolling gate, and then guarded the door.
Those who had come immediately pushed forward, and the security guard shouted:
“Don’t push, don’t push!” The security guard said loudly: “If you push past the line, you’ll be disqualified!”
With this warning, the people at the front retracted immediately, stabilizing the crowd.
Sean Knight started sizing up the items inside.
This warehouse seemed to have something noteworthy.
Big and small cardboard boxes were placed neatly along the walls on both sides.
In the middle of the warehouse, there was some sort of shelf covered with a cloth.
Sean observed with his Sky Eye and found that most of the boxes contained books with some personal belongings as well. As for the cloth-covered object, it was a table that appeared to have some history. However, whether it was worth the money was hard to say.
“Alright, now we’ll start the auction, starting bid fifty dollars, each increment must be no less than ten dollars…”
“Sixty!” Big-bearded raised his hand.
Mr. White raised his hand: “Seventy!”
Sean discovered an interesting phenomenon.
In the warehouse auction, even if people, who were determined to take down the warehouse, they wouldn’t push the price high like Mr. Madden did with the containers.
Mostly, they would raise the price bit by bit.
He raised his hand too:
“One hundred!”
His call immediately drew the attention of other people.
However, Sean didn’t care; more or less, they were all opportunities, and he wasn’t picky.
As long as he could take it within a suitable price range, he could make money.
Sean’s offer didn’t frighten others; the offer rose quickly to 170 dollars.
A Green-dressed Beauty, who he’d seen in the morning, offered 180 dollars.
Just as Big-bearded was about to raise his hand, the white chubby young man directly raised his hand and offered 190 dollars, while giving Big-bearded a sidelong glance.
Sean laughed, finding that there were subtle rivalries here too.
It seemed that as long as it concerned profit, there would always be opponents everywhere.
The price slowly rose to 505 dollars, and Sean stopped raising his hand.
He couldn’t come up with a price for those old books, and they were too much trouble.

Finally, Mr. White won this container. Big-bearded was furious, while the Green-dressed Beauty stopped bidding after 600 dollars.
She didn’t argue, quarrel, or talk to others, quite exceptional behavior.
Moving on to the second warehouse.
As usual, they opened the warehouse for observation, and Sean saw that it was packed inside with barely enough space to put their feet.
Big and small cardboard boxes were stacked haphazardly. All of them had open mouths, exposing old clothes, small tools, old car parts and newspapers, magazines, and such items scattered on the ground.
At the back of the warehouse, two human-height shelves were shrouded with cloth. When he looked with his Sky Eye, two easels were underneath, but there were no paintings on them.
Big-bearded, Mr. White, and the Green-dressed Beauty all focused on those two easels.
Is it worth gambling with the cloth covering them?
The auctioneer didn’t give everyone too much time to think. He started: “The auction will begin now, starting at twenty dollars, increments must be no less than five dollars, now let’s begin!”
“Twenty-five dollars!” Mr. White offered.
He clearly wasn’t going to stop at just one warehouse.
Big-bearded, surprisingly generous this time, said:
“Fifty dollars!”
The Green-dressed Beauty followed up:
“Sixty dollars!”
Sean continued:
“Seventy dollars!”
Just like that, one after another, the auction price reached 220 US dollars when Sean Knight gave up.
The green-dressed beauty looked at him doubtfully and then offered a price:
“230 US dollars!”
Mr. White shook his head, today exceeded his budget.
Finally, the big-bearded man and the green-dressed beauty bid against each other several times, with the big-bearded man winning at 480 US dollars.
The third warehouse.
Sean Knight was a bit nervous.
If there’s nothing in this warehouse, then coming here this afternoon would be a waste.
Before the warehouse opened, Sean had already activated his Sky Eye to take a look.
Compared to the previous warehouses, this warehouse was a bit “delicate”.
On a table, there was a box containing several pairs of jeans.
There was a clothing rack against the wall, with a few sets of clothes hanging on it.
Next to the rack was a chair with another set of clothes on it.
Inside, there was an iron box, somewhat similar to a safe. The door was open, and it seemed like there was nothing inside.
On top of the iron box was a small wooden box with a shoebox on top of it. The box lid was open, revealing a pair of women’s leather shoes.
Overall, it seemed like someone had lived here or came in and out.
However, there was dust on these things, showing that it had been a long time since anyone had been here.
There were blind boxes, and Sean Knight became excited!
Inside the wooden box were four boxes; two were empty, and two were watches with the Cartier logo.
In the very back of the iron box, there was a black jewelry box containing a baby-sized spider.
This spider was made of some precious metal, with a large emerald on its back, ruby eyes, and a purple gemstone on each claw tip. Its body was also inlaid with many diamonds!
This was definitely a treasure!
Just for this, Sean decided he had to win this warehouse at all costs.
However, he expected many competitors as this warehouse was obviously much higher-end than the previous two. The chances of getting a good item were much higher.
The security guard cut open the warehouse, and during the observation period, the big-bearded man and Mr. White’s eyes lit up instantly!
Some treasure hunters on the sidelines became excited too.
This warehouse had to be won!
The auctioneer seemed to know the situation; he set the reserve price at 500, and the auction began one minute later!
Within a minute, the price had already increased to over 1,000!
Sean Knight remained calm until the price rose to 1,800. Only a few people in the top were still bidding. He raised his hand:
“2,000!”
At this, Mr. White backed off.
However, the big-bearded man didn’t give up, continuing to bid:
“2,100!”
“2,200!”
“2,500!” The green-dressed beauty appeared determined to win, raising the price suddenly, causing the big-bearded man to quit unwillingly.
Sean Knight did not give up and said:
“2,600 US dollars!”
The green-dressed beauty shook her head to indicate she was giving up.
Sean Knight was a bit doubtful. It seemed like the green-dressed beauty wasn’t giving up because of his bid, but as if she was helping him scare away the big-bearded man.
He smiled at the girl and went to pay.
After obtaining the warehouse, Sean Knight and Jason Caldwell began to take inventory.
Everyone else had left, as watching someone else make money would make them uncomfortable.
Sean Knight was happy for the peace and quiet, at least if he made a fortune, fewer people would know.
The brand-name jeans on the table were handed to Jason by Sean:
“These jeans should sell for a thousand or two. You ask your friend if they’d buy them; if not, we can sell them at the city’s clothing store.”
“That much?” Jason was a bit skeptical, but then made a phone call.
Meanwhile, Sean went over to the iron box and put away the black jewelry box first.
