Rise of The Anti God-Chapter 729: A Tiny Favor
"Daemon Lord Larmun, what exactly did you mean when you said you knew something about my disciple?" Akira asked as her gaze narrowed while standing before the dark silver-clothed man.
Larmun stroked his beard as he said in a pompous tone, "Chief Raven, it is only because of how important of a person you are that I showed up here personally to make sure nothing unthinkable happens to your disciple."
Akira wrinkled her nose as she said, "Stop wasting my time by patronizing me. If you really wanted to help me, you would have told me where my disciple is already. If there's nothing else, then I am afraid I have nothing more to say."
Khun was standing a few steps behind her with crossed arms as he looked on closely.
Akira was about to turn around when Larmun gestured with his hand, "Don't be so hasty. I do really know where your disciple is, but...there is just one tiny matter we have to discuss."
Akira subtly winced as she asked skeptically, "And what is this matter that is so urgent enough to discuss now?"
Larmun slightly smiled as he said with his arms behind his back, "I don't know if you remember, but I had asked one small favor from you a month or two ago. You see, I am planning to make a small camp right on this continent just to keep an eye on things, especially the relationship our two races share. And for the sake of our future, my son is willing to form an alliance with your clan through your personal disciple. That is the only simple favor I ask."
"Tsk, wherever we go, there are always these douchebags who can't help but go after women," Damien said with a head shake while wondering what kind of person his aunt's disciple was to garner much interest from the Daemon Lord's son.
"You should take a good look at the mirror before judging others, pfft," Luna said with a snort, finding it quite funny.
"Come on. At least I don't force my wishes on others or try to be obnoxious about it," Damien said, fully believing in his words.
Luna rolled her eyes as she asked, "Do I have to remind you who forcibly kissed Reva until she succumbed to your evil claws?"
Damien let out a light-hearted sigh as he said, "That was different. I knew how she felt about me."
"Yeah? Then how do you know if this Daemon Lord's son doesn't know the same thing? Also, thinking about it, this is the norm. Wealth, power, and women are the things men would do anything to conquer."
"Then for what all things do women do to conquer them?" Damien offhandedly asked.
"..."
"I guess that is food for thought," Damien chuckled as his focus reeled back to Larmun.
Akira frowned as she asked, "If your son cares about her so much, then why is she not already here?"
Larmun raised his hands as he said, "Do not be so alarmed. My son did everything he could, but out of his recklessness, he ended up very injured, and right now, he is being treated by my best physician. He was barely conscious when he told me what happened and also where your disciple is. So as a father, you have to understand my pain of almost seeing my son die. If all this happened for nothing, I would feel so sorry for my son."
Akira took a deep breath as if from vexation as she said, "I already talked about this to my disciple, and she said 'No'. This is not a matter which I want to force on her."
"See. I told you. Things don't seem to be that simple in this case. I feel something is off," Damien mumbled while still secretly listening in on their conversation.
Larmun stroked his beard again as he said, "Ohoho, I don't want you to force anyone, but all you have to do is at least offer my son a fair chance. Think about it. You will benefit from this as her Master by forming a direct alliance, and I am sure His Majesty would treat this matter with high regard. I would advise you to make haste since your disciple might need you any second."
"Tsk, this asshole. He is blackmailing my aunt," Damien said, feeling even more irritated by this Lumran guy. He could smell from a mile away that this guy was a sneaky fox.
Akira clenched her fingers, feeling irked, but she shut her eyes close as if deeply contemplating about something before opening her eyes with a sharp expression, "Fine! Let a duel between my disciple and yours decide the future. Now, tell me where she is."
Larmun smiled subtly as if satisfied and said, "From what I learned from my son, he said she was mistaken for a lone ghoul and taken captive by some rogue Daemons in the Black Cloud Ravine. If only I knew more about these stray tribes, then I could have definitely been more of a help. Chief Raven must understand if my information isn't much help."
"The Black Cloud Ravine? How could she even end up there?" Akira mumbled as if she didn't expect her disciple to be so far away.
"I am afraid that is something only your disciple can know. But I am done here, so let's hope we meet again in better circumstances," Larmun said with a hearty laugh as he briefly looked up in the direction of a large window on the first floor.
Damien quickly shrunk back as he wondered if he had given himself away. However, he really didn't care if he got caught since he at least got to learn something about this Daemon Lord.
Larmuns gaze didn't linger on the window too much before flying off with his envoys.
Akira didn't even spare any words of farewell as she quickly went inside the tower when Damien suddenly heard a knock on his door.
