REJECTED ONCE, FROZEN FOREVER-Chapter 52: GIVE ME A SECOND CHANCE

"I’m happy that you found a whole new family. I was worried sick after you left, I didn’t know whether you were alive or dead." Casey spoke and let out a sigh of relief she didn’t know that she was holding.

"I never thought that the next time I see you would be in preparation of a war." Ariana replied.

"You and Bradley huh?" Ariana asked remembering how Casey had been close to Bradley.

"The week after you left, on my birthday I found out that he was my mate. I was ready to reject him, you know with the way they treated us back then. I also thought that if he could treat you like that, how would he treat his own mate." Casey said playing with her fingers.

"He really regrets the way he treated you back then, he had been hoping that when you come back, he could apologize to you." Casey said avoiding Ariana’s gaze.

"I’m not speaking up for him because he is my mate, but because I saw how he really regrets it." Casey said softly.

"I know you; you must have changed him. When I let go of the past, I let go of the family relation that I had with this pack. Had I not left, this pack was just going to continue torturing me while extorting my powers." Ariana’s eyes turned serious.

"Please at least meet him, for me." Casey pleaded, if Bradley’s guilt could lessen it would be great.

"Besides you’re going to be an aunt." Casey said placing her hand on her belly.

"You mean..." Ariana’s mouth opened in surprise.

"Yes, I am pregnant." Casey announced.

"I am going to be really an aunt." Ariana spoke before she stood up and hugged Casey.

Ariana hugged Casey and swayed their bodies from side to side. They sat back down, and Ariana looked at Casey.

"I made you an aunt already!" Ariana said causing Casey to spill out the water in her mouth.

"You have a child?" Casey asked in shock.

"Yes, she is two months now." Ariana spoke shocking Casey again.

"Where is she? Did you leave her behind?" Casey asked, she could clearly remember that when she saw them there was not baby.

"No, she came with us. She went shopping now with her aunties and her mate." Ariana said.

"You child has mate?" Casey asked, her eyes widening. How many shocking things was Ariana going to tell her.

"Yes, not even ten minutes after she was born, we discovered that Adrian’s cousin was her mate." Ariana replied.

"Were you guys okay with that?" Casey asked, after all who would accept it.

"Of course, we are not in control who becomes who’s mate. Besides it’s best that it is someone we know." Ariana replied.

"When she was a baby, she would only sleep in my arms or her mate’s arms. Like now I left them together." Ariana spoke with a smile on her face.

"Isn’t she only two months? Isn’t she a baby still?" Casey asked in confusion.

"That would be, but vampire kids grow up fast. My pregnancy only lasted two weeks." Ariana said and Casey’s eyes went wide again.

"Two weeks?" Casey’s voice raised a bit.

"I still have six more months to go." Casey whined.

While vampire’s pregnancies lasted two weeks, werewolf’s pregnancies lasted seven months. While vampire kids grew every day, werewolf kids aged like humans.

"Oh, I just remembered something." Casey said remembering the scene earlier on.

"What is it?" Ariana asked.

"Earlier when your family arrived, they only shook my hand and didn’t shake Hunter or Bradley’s hand. It’s like they knew me or something." Casey spoke.

"That has to be my sister in law’s power." Ariana replied.

"All of you guys have powers?" Casey asked shocked.

"Yes, Amelia sees the future as well as the past. It is why they all greeted you warmly, you were the only one that stood by my side no matter what." Ariana said.

"She is also the one that saw this war coming." Ariana added.

"And they believed her?" Casey asked again.

"Yes, do you remember the war we learned back in high school." Ariana asked.

"You mean the big war that happened a hundred and fifty years ago?" Casey asked again.

"Yes, she was also the one that predicted it, but they didn’t believe her back then, she lost her parents in that war. She made sure that no one escape the consequences, even the king of vampires fears her." Ariana spoke.

"You’re not eating?" Casey asked seeing the food she ordered for Ariana untouched.

"We can’t digest food Casey." Ariana replied.

"So, I can eat it right." Casey asked eyeing the plate.

Ariana laughed and pushed the plate closer to Casey.

Casey stood up and told Ariana she was going to use the washroom. As soon as she left, Ariana felt a hand grab her own hand.

Hunter pulled Ariana outside, Ariana looked at Hunter and felt annoyed.

"What is this?" She asked him.

"Ariana, I know I was wrong." He spoke and she just stared at him, like someone looking at a clown.

"Really, where were you wrong?" She asked going along with him.

"I shouldn’t have rejected you back then, I know I was wrong. I promise if you come back to me, I will make it up to you." He said taking her hand, but she dodged his hands before they could touch her.

"You rejected me back then, what makes you think you have the right, now?" She asked.

"Ariana, I know you are angry about the past. I swear I’ll make it right, just give me a chance okay." He said his eyes pleading.

"Give you a chance? For what exactly? I have a mate who I love so much, and he loved the way I am." She replied.

"He is not your mate I am." He shouted in anger.

"I am your mate; I was your first." He said stepping forward and she took a step backwards.

"Mate? First? What did you do after you took my virginity?" She questioned him.

Hunter looked down in shame after all, it was after he took her virginity that he rejected her.

"I know I was wrong." He said again.

"I know my mistake, I’m sorry" He apologized.

"You rejected twice, all the chances that I gave you, you rejected it." She replied, the way he was acting as if just because he was her first, she should forget everything that he put her through.

"Give me a chance, I’ll make it up to you and our child." He said remembering the baby.

"Our child? Didn’t you deny the baby back then?" She asked him, he really had no shame. He had accused her of sleeping around when he knew that it was only him that she slept with.

"I know, but we can be a family now." He said hopefully.

"You didn’t want the baby, why would I?" She asked him.

"But in the letter, you wrote that you left to keep the child safe." The child was his last card in getting her back.

"Do you think I had that strength with the way the pack treated me?" She asked raising her brow.

"I was nothing but a punching bag for this pack." Ariana added.

"They all know they were wrong; they want to apologize to you. You should come back for them, you are their luna." Hunter spoke.

"Luna? Their Luna is Ava not me." Ariana said and turned to walk away.

"She is not, I will remove her and give it back to you." Hunter said grabbing her hand.

"Did I say that I want it?" She said and shook his hand off.

"I am not a werewolf anymore. The werewolves business is no longer my concern." She said and left before he could stop her.

"Where is Ariana?" Casey asked coming outside.

"She left, Case you have to help." Hunter said desperately and grabbed Casey’s hands.

"Alpha Hunter, I will not help you." Casey said shaking his hands off.

"Casey, you..." Hunter stuttered.

"No, she is finally happy now. You rejected her for Ava, so stay with Ava. She found a mate who understands and loves her, you should leave her alone." Casey warned.

"He is not her mate; I am her mate!" He shouted.

"I am her mate; she will come back to me." He spoke like a mad person.

"Hunter, I will not let you ruin her life again. She has moved on; she will never come back to you." Casey said.

"Shut up!" Hunter shouted and pushed her.

"Hunter!" Bradley shouted catching Casey before she fell.

"Tell your mate to remember who she is talking to." Hunter roared his wolf’s anger coming out.

"So, because you’re the alpha, does that mean that you can push my mate like that." Bradley accused.

"Tell your mate to stay out of my business." He warned.

"Do you think my sister will take you back. You have played with my sisters, reject one and take the other as your mate. When it doesn’t work for you, you want to discard one and go back to the other." Bradley shouted back.
