REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO-Chapter 321: Looking For The Blood Essence
Min Chong looked at the silver-haired guardian of the Chong family standing beside him — the eldest and most senior among them. "Elder Guardian," he said calmly, though a sharp glint flickered in his eyes, "I believe the blood essence is with Hueng. If he brought it with him... and considering how overprotective he is, I’m certain he did. You and I will go after him."
He then turned his gaze toward the others.
"Other than Hueng, they have ten Martial Sovereigns. I don’t think any of you will have difficulty dealing with one each."
"Hmph," Yuhe said nothing more. Disgust simmered in his chest at Min Chong’s overbearing attitude, but he kept his thoughts to himself.
"Alright. I think we all know what we need to do," Tian Shin said, stepping in as he sensed the tension rising between Min Chong and Yuhe Feng.
Min Chong looked forward. His aura erupted even further. This time, there was no more restraint. He let it all go out.
At the same time, the silver-haired leader of the Four Guardians from the Chong Family released his aura as well.
The pressure in the air thickened instantly.
And then...
Crack!
The ground beneath them shattered as their feet left the earth, leaving behind blurred afterimages.
Whoosh!
They tore through the air, charging straight toward Hueng Long.
Seeing this, Hueng arced his right arm back and raised his left hand forward, settling into a battle stance.
The other Martial Sovereigns beside him prepared themselves as well, ready to support him.
But unfortunately for them, the remaining Martial Sovereigns from the Evil Spirit Families had already made their move.
Before the dust and debris could even settle, all twelve Martial Sovereigns appeared directly before the strongest cultivators from the five Spirit Families.
Boom!
A massive shockwave exploded outward in every direction.
The ground trembled violently.
Rrrrrrrrip!
Hueng Long’s legs screeched across the ground as he was forced backward, carving deep trenches into the earth.
Min Chong and the silver-haired guardian had thrown their punches simultaneously. Though Hueng blocked them with his palms, their combined strength was not something he could withstand with ease.
After being pushed back more than fifteen meters, Hueng Long gritted his teeth. Veins bulged across his forehead as he tightened his grip around their fists. With a sudden surge of power, he lifted both of them off the ground....
And then violently flung his arms backward.
Min Chong and the guardian were hurled through the air.
"Hah! Do you take me for a pushover?" Hueng roared, already flashing toward them. "You thought the two of you could defeat me? Dream on!"
"Don’t get cocky just because you blocked one of our attacks," Min Chong replied coldly.
A ring on his finger flashed, and a katana materialized in his hand.
Beside him, the guardian touched the golden bracelet on his wrist. A weapon, shaped like a double-bladed battle axe, appeared instantly in his grasp.
Both of them charged at Hueng. Hueng was already rushing forward at full speed. He drew one hand back.
In the distance, something shot up from the ground like a shooting star, streaking across the sky before flying straight toward him.
Clang!
The two forces collided.
Just before impact, the streak of light reached Hueng’s hand, revealing itself to be a massive greatsword.
Steel met steel. Power slammed into power.
This time, both sides were forced to slide backward.
But neither side intended to pause. The moment their feet stopped, carving lines into the earth...
They shot forward again....
Clang! Clang!
Sparks of fire burst into the air as steel met steel mercilessly. Every swing carried killing intent, slicing through the air with sharp whistling. Shockwaves rippled outward with each collision, cracking the ground beneath them again and again.
Min Chong’s katana flashed like a silver crescent, its edge humming with condensed spiritual force. The senior guardian’s double-bladed axe came down in brutal arcs, heavy and domineering, splitting the air apart.
Hueng Long’s greatsword, though a bit heavy, responded smoothly. Each of his swings was broad and overwhelming, forcing both opponents to defend instead of advance. Yet neither Min Chong nor the guardian retreated. Their coordination was flawless — one attacking high while the other aimed low, forcing Hueng into constant defense.
Meanwhile, the arena had completely turned into a chaotic battlefield.
The remaining cultivators of the evil spirit Families were locked in fierce combat against the experts of the five spirit families.
Craters formed. The sky trembled from the sheer density of power.
Not far away from Hueng, the remaining three Guardians of the Chong Family were engaged in intense combat against three family heads — Wei Zhong of the Zhong Family, Han Rui of the Rui Family, and Feng Dao of the Dao Family.
The six figures moved like streaks of light across the battlefield. Palm against palm.
Blade against blade. Aura against aura.
The situation was a complete stalemate. Neither side could gain the upper hand, yet neither showed signs of falling into disadvantage either.
Elsewhere...
Shen Lian of the Lian Family found herself in a far more desperate situation.
She was facing Tian Shin of the Shin Family, one of the three core leaders of the Evil Spirit Families.
Dust billowed violently around them as their techniques collided. Blood splattered across the broken earth.
Whoosh!
Shen Lian drew an upward kick fiercely. But Tian Shin dodged it with ease and buried a brutal punch in her stomach. Shen Lian flew back a little bit, then flipped mid-air and shot forward like a Cheetah the moment her feet touched the ground.
And then...
Bam!
A low swing with her left leg. Tian’s legs buckled, and he started falling. Then a double kick from Shen Lian.
It was Tian’s time to fly back this time.
Every strike carried fatal intent. No one was holding back.
Clannnng!
Suddenly, a deafening metallic crash echoed across the battlefield.
Hueng Long had just blocked a devastating combination attack from Min Chong and the senior guardian.
The katana slashed downward while the axe swept horizontally at the same instant.
Hueng crossed his greatsword in front of him and took the blow head-on. The impact sent tremors through his entire body. His hands went numb. The bones in his arms creaked under the pressure.
But the opposing side was not in much better condition. Min Chong’s wrist trembled slightly from the rebound force.
The senior guardian’s grip tightened as his forearm muscles spasmed faintly.
Spiritual energy surged wildly around all three of them.
For a brief second...
The battlefield seemed to hold its breath.
