Reincarnation Of The Legendary Sword Saint-Chapter 89: Calamity Redirected
He looked at Kosan.
"Oh? A demon... and you’re holding my student."
His grip tightened on his sword.
"Hey," he said calmly, killing intent pouring out. "Move away from my student. Now."
Sword God Michael.
One of the most famous and strongest adventurers.
He stood fully armored, only his face exposed. As he raised his sword and slashed it sideways, thick, pure red energy engulfed his body, flooding the battlefield.
Michael walked forward, his sword raised, red energy pulsing around him. Kosan turned to meet him, massive claws blazing with fire. The air around them trembled as their presence clashed.
Rowan watched silently from above, eyes fixed on the battlefield.
Oh, so he’s the one, he thought. My father told me he’s not even one of the strong guys... he’s the strongest. He said Michael is slightly stronger than him. So this is Michael.
But still... yesterday I fought Kosan. I don’t know how he came back. I’m still not fully sure. And not only that... his aura has grown stronger from yesterday. Is Michael strong enough.
Michael walked forward, red energy flaring across his body as he approached Kosan. Kosan turned, massive claws igniting with fire, and the two faced each other.
Then Michael moved back slightly, raising his sword high, the red aura surging, and slammed it forward at Kosan. Kosan raised both massive flaming claws to block the strike.
The impact detonated a massive shockwave, sending air splashing violently across the school grounds. Every student staggered, unable to stand. Derek and the other teachers rose, struggling against the force.
Almost twenty Sword Lords from the senior class emerged from their classrooms, followed by twenty-seven Sword Masters, and an extra ten more.
"Let us help! We’re enough!" one Sword Lord shouted.
Michael didn’t respond. He slashed at Kosan again, dodging the demon’s claw strike with precise, lightning-fast movements.
Kosan leaped backward and raised his hand. A massive orb of fire formed, growing as it surged toward the students.
"What the hell?!" someone shouted as the Sword Saints, Sword Gods, Sword Lords, and Masters scrambled to avoid the blast.
Michael reacted instantly, moving with blinding speed. He raised his sword, blocking the attack with his red aura, and the flame vanished against the blade.
Kosan lunged again, firing a claw at Michael, but Michael twisted the sword, countering with perfect timing.
"Dammit... his strength is unreal. He’s holding back. He hasn’t even used his special attack," Michael thought, eyes narrowing as he watched Kosan. I can tell from the way he carries himself... he’s capable of a spell that could destroy this entire place. These students might get caught in it. If I don’t draw him away, we’ll all be finished.
He saw a Sword God move to strike and instinctively jumped back, sensing the danger.
Kosan smiled. "What’s wrong? Why did you jump back?"
Michael gritted his teeth. "I just realized you were up to something," he said with a faint smile.
He raised his massive sword and rested it on his shoulder. The weight of the weapon barely seemed to matter to him.
"Oh, but before I kill you..." Kosan’s eyes gleamed with malicious intent. "I can tell you one very important thing about this group. I care for them, right?"
He leaned closer. "Tell me... where is the crystal?"
Michael’s gaze hardened. "Be frank... what crystal?"
Kosan smirked. "You know exactly what I’m talking about. The crystal in which the first Demon Lord heart was sealed in..." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"Oh... so that’s what you’re after," Michael said calmly. "I see. Is that all you want?"
Kosan’s smile widened.
"No. There’s also a young boy from this academy. I met him yesterday. I can tell he’s from here, the strongest one. I want you to tell me where he is. I’d like to teach him a serious lesson."
Michael’s eyes flickered.
What does he mean?
What student is he talking about?
No... it didn’t matter. Right now, Michael only had one priority.
I just need to draw him away from this place.
"Well," Michael said slowly, "I’ll tell you, on one condition."
Kosan tilted his head. "And what is that?"
"I know where the crystal is," Michael said. "And the boy you’re looking for."
Kosan’s eyes sharpened.
"Hm? You know him?"
"I do. I know where he is."
Silence fell.
Kosan’s aura surged faintly. "I hope you’re not playing games with me," he said coldly. "That boy is strong. Stronger than you, in fact. And he has white..."
Suddenly, his voice cut off.
"...!"
Kosan’s mouth moved, but no sound came out.
What...?
I can’t speak?
He tried again.
Nothing.
His expression twisted as realization struck.
I can’t say it. I can’t describe him. I can’t even speak his name.
No matter how hard he tried, the words refused to form.
Rowan.
He couldn’t describe Rowan at all.
From above, unseen, Rowan watched silently.
The spell took hold, Rowan thought calmly. If you try to describe me in any way, your voice will fail you.
And here, you’re at a disadvantage. This is my domain, cause even if Michael lose, I will step in.
Back on the ground, Kosan glared at Michael, furious.
Michael smiled faintly.
"Oh? Can’t speak or you decide not too?" he said. "Well then... I can show you where he is."
Kosan’s eyes burned.
"But first," Michael continued, turning his body sideways, "catch me."
In the next instant, Michael vanished.
He burst through the shattered wall of the academy at blinding speed, leaving nothing but a shockwave behind.
"Not so fast!" Kosan roared, launching after him.
They tore through the air, racing away from the ruins of the school.
Michael sprinted straight toward the vast forest beyond the academy, plunging deeper and deeper between towering trees.
Good, Michael thought as the distance grew.
This is better.
Far away from the school... far from the students.
He pushed himself even faster, dragging the demon farther into the wilderness.
Now, he thought grimly, they won’t get caught in what comes next.
