Chapter 680: Chapter 340: I Will Be Back (Emotionless) (Part 3)

"Yes. Let’s settle this once and for all."

The white-haired girl gripped her sword with both hands, taking an offensive stance.

"So fast! Do villains not even bother with chatter before attacking?"

Killing intent swiftly rushed toward Jack, who hastily raised his sword.

"I’m not much of a talker."

The white-haired girl’s eyes were fixed on Jack, like a predator ready to hunt.

Jack’s face was drenched in cold sweat; he wanted his teammates to step in first. But turning around, he saw all of them looking at him expectantly.

Such embarrassing words could never come from the mouth of an Outerworld Hero!

Just as Jack was hesitating internally, the white-haired girl launched her attack, charging straight at him. Jack hurriedly raised his sword to fend it off.

The clash of two long swords created ripples of energy. Jack’s frown gradually eased; he discovered that the opponent’s strength was unexpectedly weak, and the sword’s speed wasn’t fast. He could completely resist it.

But this couldn’t possibly be the strength of the Sword Demon Envoy!

While fending off Lina, Jack’s brow furrowed once more.

"Impressive, to go toe-to-toe with the Sword Demon Envoy!"

"No wonder you’re the Outerworld Hero."

"Master Jack!"

Watching the yellow-haired group leader exchange blows with the white-haired girl, the adventurers were elated and danced joyfully.

Among them, only two people sensed something amiss.

One was Jack, who was currently sparring with the white-haired girl. Though he was a swordsman, Jack was well aware of his own capabilities—an 11th-level swordsman, no matter how strong, couldn’t possibly defeat a 30th-level swordsman. The disparity in power due to such a level gap couldn’t be bridged.

Yet now he was fervently clashing with the Sword Demon Envoy, who had once repelled a 46th-level warrior with a single swing.

This was damn peculiar!

The other person who found it odd was the pink-haired individual watching from behind a tree.

The pink-haired person widened their eyes in disbelief.

The top combatant of the demon clan, struggling against the current Outerworld Hero...?

The white-haired girl’s small face was slick with sweat.

Oh no, oh no, I’m about to accidentally kill the opponent!

Throughout this fake battle, the white-haired girl had been holding back her true abilities, only using the most basic swordsmanship against Jack.

But she also vaguely sensed something odd; several times she failed to control her strength, and her Sword Qi nearly harmed Jack, yet Jack remained unharmed.

With little time to think, seeing the opportune moment, the white-haired girl pretended to fail dodging Jack’s swing, letting the sword scrape past her front and tear her sleeve where she’d prepared some ketchup from home.

The white-haired girl retreated repeatedly, bright red liquid flowing from her arm, shooting Jack an angry glare. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

"I will definitely come back." (Monotone, emotionless line-read)

The white-haired girl turned and hurriedly fled, leaving Jack bewildered.

Jack had no time to ponder. The silence lasted only a few seconds before his teammates erupted with excitement, running toward him.

"Master Jack! You drove off the Sword Demon Envoy!"

"With such prowess at level 11, I can’t even imagine what you’ll be like at level 70!"

His teammates excitedly tossed Jack into the air in celebration.

The white-haired girl hid in the distance, quietly watching the scene, while frugally licking the ketchup still edible from her arm.

If defeating demon clan creatures of varying levels grants experience, then defeating a Demon Envoy would yield the most experience, right?

Even if it’s a fake battle, a fake battle is still a battle!

The white-haired girl anxiously watched Jack’s transformation.
