Reincarnated as the Baron's son: My Infinite Card Upgrade System-Chapter 38: Contracts.
"Number 1..."
Alaric raised a finger.
"Before I give you the fridge and any partnership toward it, you must agree to sign the contract for the mining sales taking place in your viscounty."
Olsen remained calm. "And what is the second one?" he asked.
"Well..." Alaric rubbed his hands gently, a weird smile on his face. "I simply wish for you to agree to partner with me if I ever invent any more inventions."
"..."
There was silence, yet the contemplating expression on the Viscount’s face was as loud as it could ever be.
Even Ava, standing to the side of the room, could tell. Throughout the entire event, she had been carefully observing everything that happened.
’Please don’t do anything that will get us killed,’ Ava silently pleaded every time Alaric spoke.
To her surprise, he was handling the meeting far better than she ever expected.
Another clear sign of the man Alaric had become—he was no longer just the joke of the barony.
—clears throat.
Viscount Olsen was about to speak.
The tension brewing inside Alaric began to rise even more.
If the Viscount decided to play a selfish card, Alaric would be trapped in a corner.
Just one question. Alaric waited for just one question—
"Let’s say I agree to this. How much do you think this... cooler can be sold for?"
The moment Olsen asked, it felt like a new spark of hope burned inside Alaric. He grinned, then raised his head with a huge smile.
"After speaking to my father and some merchants, we’ve come to the conclusion that it should be sold for 50,000 eres or more, depending on the size of the cooler."
(50,000 Eres!)
The Viscount was now more alert than ever.
Alaric grinned again after seeing his reaction.
’Bingo! He took the bait.’
The moment Olsen walked into the room, Alaric had scanned him using the character profile.
[Name: Elmore Olsen
Occupation: Viscount of Olsen Viscounty
Special Skill: Building relationships, business freak
Relationship: 0%]
Being a "business freak" was the greatest asset Alaric knew he could exploit.
’If I play my cards right, he should see how beneficial this is to him on a surface level. This isn’t enough to convince him right now, but...’
Before he got ahead of himself, Olsen asked another question.
"How many percent will I be getting from the share if I end up agreeing to whatever you have going on here?"
Boldly, Alaric replied, "30% and 20% for the Count."
Olsen’s eyes widened again. "30%?! Are you messing with me right now?"
"I wouldn’t dare make this up. I promise I’m not trying to deceive you."
Viscount Olsen shifted his gaze to the fridge after hearing Alaric’s words. He doubted whether this could all be a scam—it was coming from a failed barony, after all.
Then again, a 30% share for something this impressive wasn’t too bad. There was no doubt the product would grow even better with the Count’s involvement.
Was this a risk he was willing to take?
Olsen sighed.
"Fine... I’ll do it," he replied.
Immediately, a huge smile formed on Alaric’s lips.
[The Viscount feels conflicted.]

Alaric moved closer to the center table, his smile wide enough for the Viscount to see his excitement.
"Oh, thank you, thank you so much. I really do appreciate it..."
As he spoke, he reached into his inner pocket and pulled out two contracts.
These contracts each contained the terms and agreements pertaining to the cooler and the mining sales.
"Now, if you would just sign these contracts, we’ll be good to go."
He placed the contracts on the table, flipping to the page where the Viscount needed to sign.
At first, the Viscount was even more wary.
Alaric Montclair already had a contract ready?
"You seem in a hurry for me to sign these papers. Would it not be logical for me to read through them before signing?" Olsen asked in a neutral tone.
Alaric immediately stepped back. "Oh, of course. Please, do so."
Clicking his tongue, Olsen began to read through the contracts.

As Olsen read, his eyebrow rose with each paragraph.
There was nothing wrong with the contract, yet an uneasy feeling lingered—
He looked away from the contract and shifted his attention to Alaric.
Met with an innocent smile from the young man, Olsen returned to reading the contract with a nervous expression on his face.
