Chapter 783: Chapter 783: Pink Hair From Where?

The sky was getting darker.

The city of Landan was getting busier as this was the same time that a lot of people should be coming back home from work.

Rudy walked on the side of the street.

Her street.

The neighbourhood was quiet, but she could see the lights from the windows of the other houses.

Although it should be called a street, it was a particularly bad one. The houses here were not arranged properly and the street was a little narrow.

It was so narrow that only one car would be able to move on it properly. If two cars were to come from opposite sides of the street at the same time, one would have to move to the side and drive on the sidewalk to make space for the other.

It had to be said, this wasn’t a particularly well-off neighborhood.

And as if to make it worse, there was an overhead highway bridge extending from the side of Rudy’s house.

Rudy’s house was at the end of the street, so she didn’t mind. She liked it that her personal residence marked the boundaries and end point of the street.

Rudy wore a simple black hoodie and black trousers with black shoes. She was also wrapping around her neck a piece of cloth that hung over her chest.

All black.

Very suspicious.

But in this neighborhood, this was not something that would be looked into.

As Rudy walked, she had a certain bounce to her strides. Her shoulders would go up and down with every step and her head was raised eagerly.

Her eyes, which had now turned to a regular brown looked around the street premises just as she was making a turn.

Soon, she was at the entrance to the street, and to her left was a small park with a few benches.

A bus stop.

Here, some lads were hanging around, also wearing all black like Rudy.

Suddenly, Rudy’s stance relaxed a little, and her steps became audible again.

"Yoo, it’s Rude!" Said one of the boys sitting at the edge of the bench. His eyes seemed to brighten into stars as soon as he saw Rudy and he stood up.

There were four other boys here, making five boys in total. Rudy was the only girl among them, but the vibe she instantly put on after being in their presence would make anyone think twice about her.

"Yoo!" Rudy answered the greeting as she put on a smile that was quite scary. She approached the boys and started exchanging modes of greetings.

Daps, fist bumps, and gang signs were exchanged between the six black-clothed teenagers.

One would wonder why they all chose to dress like this. Wearing black and ski masks that easily covered some parts of their head. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

As they started talking, Rudy pulled off her hoodie to get more comfortable and sat on the bench with pride.

"Yoo, shit. Rude, you dyed your hair or sumthin’?" One of the larger boys asked.

Rudy arched one of her eyebrows. Her hair wasn’t too long, she always cut it to keep it as a bob cut as that was what she preferred.

But it had been a while since her last cut and the hair had grown to reach below her neck.

"What? No," Rudy said as she looked at the large boy, "Teez, is there something on my hair?"

By now, the other boys had also paid attention to her hair and had looks of surprise.

"Since when are you into pink man?" Asked one of the slimmer boys as he started laughing.

All the bits started talking about it, confusing Rudy further. She didn’t understand what they were talking about.

Her hair had always been dark brown like her mother’s. And it stayed that way because she liked it.

Puzzled, Rudy brought her hand up to grab a string of her hair.

Just as the boys had said, there was pink.

’PINK!’

Rude frowned, "Who’s messin?"

Her voice took a very dark tone all of a sudden. It had gone so low that the boys touching the bench felt the metal parts vibrate.

They immediately stopped laughing. Rudy might be jovial to them but all of them knew she was the most dangerous and cold-blooded.

"I said who the fuck’s messin’ with me?" Rudy stood up with eyes filled with rage and her nose scrunched to show her displeasure.

"No one is, I just thought you’re tryin to be changed, I dunno..." Teez, the brown-skinned large boy said.

Rudy began to shake as she saw a glimpse of the pink hair from the corner of her eyes, "Bruva! If I was trying to change, you’d think I’d start with dying my freaking hair?!" She was practically shouting at this point.

All the pedestrians who were passing the bus stop stylishly avoided these teenagers.

"Hey, Rude, we didn’t do it, don’t look at us like that," Said the slimmest boy with bright blue eyes.

"Blues, how bad is it?" Rude relaxed her facial expression and shifted to damage control.

She definitely didn’t dye her hair pink.

"It’s not too bad if you look at it from an angle, bruv?" Blues, the blue-eyed tall boy looked at the other boys.

They didn’t want Rudy to be upset. If they had known she wasn’t the one who dyed her hair, they wouldn’t have made fun of it.

"Yeah," Teez added, "It’s just around the corners and bits. If you ask me, it don’t make you bad at all.

She looks crazy good, innit?"

"Yeah..."

"Definitely..."

The other boys started complimenting her hair.

Although, it had now become very clear that someone had played a very dirty prank on Rudy.

Just then, Blues, who was closest to Rudy, noticed a change.

He wasn’t sure if he was imagining things but Rudy’s eyes just lit up with a strange mix of purple and gold before reverting to ordinary brown.

"What was that?" Blues, shocked, asked.

"What was what?" Rudy snapped at him, obviously still mad about her pink hair.

Blues looked at the other boys and saw that they didn’t notice anything. He decided to put it to the back of his mind, thinking to himself that he may still be seeing things.

At this time, one of the boys looked across the avenue to see a group of boys clothed in the same black clothes as Rudy’s group.

There was a difference though. Rudy’s group was wearing all black while this one was not strict about the dress code, just predominantly black mixed with various other colours.

"Rude, it’s them Bigless guys," He whispered.

Her eyes twitching with her emotions strangely starting to get out of control, Rude spun to see the same group of boys making their way over.

"AYOOOOO!" A pumped-up hail followed by chuckles was heard from the so-called Bigless boys as they crossed the road to reach Rudy’s group.

"Tardy Boyz be having beef innit now?" Said one of the Bigless boys as he bounced over.

"That ain’t good for the bizznesses now is it famz," Said the main boy at the center.

The guy leading this second group was not a teenager, he looked like he had just entered his twenties, spotting a low cut and a visible neck tattoo.

"I ain’t your famz, Bigless. What you come around for?" Cooling her head, Rudy replied as she put her hands into the pockets of her hoodie.

Tension rose instantly.

No one backed down.

The Tardy Boyz stepped away from the bench and stood their ground despite Bigless Boys having two more members than them.

Bigless, the light-skinned guy with a low cut and snake tattoo on his neck narrowed his eyes. He was smiling, but his eyes revealed clear malice.

"I saw what you did to one of my boyz," Bigless stated, clearing the reason why he was here at this bus stop.

"Which one?" Rude tilted her head and smiled playfully.

The pain she felt in her knuckles was so worth it.

"Don’t play with me, Rudy..." Bigless said, clearly not in the mood for beating around the bush.

"Oh," Rudy acted like she just remembered something, "You mean that weak-ass pussy man you call a big boy?

I taught him a lesson about tresspassi’n that he’ll never forget. Hehehe!"

Rudy chuckled, causing the smiles on the faces of the Bigless Boyz to fade very fast.

"You broke his jaw and snapped his ribs," Bigless muttered through gritted teeth.

"So what?" Rudy shrugged her shoulders, "I got a little carried away bruva.

Besides, that’s the point. He ain’t forgettin ’bout that beatin ’in a long time."

"You..." Bigless brought out his hands from his pockets, this did not escape Rudy’s keen eyes.

"He was just trying to visit his woman, Rude. I thought we were over this typa thingz." Bigless said.

"Yoo Bigless," Teez called with his very intimidating deep voice, "Better pack your boyz out of here before we demonstrate to you some dark thingz."

"Ayoo say that again, famz!" Bigless suddenly rushed toward Teez.

"You’s trespassin Bigless, rules ain’t mean nothing to you, innit..." Teez, very experienced in this type of conflict, stepped away, causing Bigless to halt before he hit the bench.

Rudy looked at this antics with twitching eyelids and a relaxed stance. Her hands never left the confines of her hood pocket.

If Bigless had done anything to hurt Teez in front of her...

"What do you want Bigless? You come for revenge? You’s stupid for real man," Blues said with a daring smile.

Bigless grunted, then looked at his boys who were ready to jump in on his command.

They came here for something.

He then looked at Rudy, the leader of the Tardy Boyz herself. The irony.

He knew that she was the main reason the Tardy boys had such guts to play with him. He had reasons for attempting to touch Teez instead of Rudy.

Bigless suddenly shook his head, giving the signal to his boys.

"You see, Rudy," Bigless reached for the area behind him and slowly pulled out a gun.

Rudy was faster, she reached to her back to pull out her own gun, but to her surprise, she felt another hand touching her at that moment.

Her fingers felt the gun being pulled away.

She turned around to see that one of the Tardy Boyz had taken her gun.

"Hey!" Rudy began but felt a heavy piece of metal make contact with her head.

She fell to her knees, her vision blurring and her hearing muffled. She could hear the sound of her boys trying to get to her but they were outnumbered.

A traitor?

An ambush.

Looking down, no one noticed her eyes starting to shine with a deathly purple glow.
