Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space-Chapter 1853 - 1847: Say Half, Leave Half
Chapter 1853: Chapter 1847: Say Half, Leave Half
"Madam, a disaster will befall soon; you must take care," the old man left this sentence and walked ahead of Qin Xue and the others.
"Hey, this old man is really something. Can’t he just be clear? A sugar figure artisan, why is he so mysterious?" Qing Zhu said impatiently.
Her calm heart was unsettled by that simple phrase "accept what comes" from the old man. Did he really see something? Or was he just guessing? Qing Zhu didn’t know.
But what did he mean by "treasure those at hand"? Right now, the two men and three women, with Qin Xue and Chu Molin obviously being a couple, and she, Dongfang Li, and Silver Wolf not being close, why did he say that?
If you ask why she’s so annoyed, clearly the old man was implying something about her and Silver Wolf. Hearing it alone wouldn’t bother her, but since the person involved was right there, how could she not be frustrated?
Silver Wolf glanced at Qing Zhu, seeing that she was not only speaking harshly but also had an irritated expression, yet he showed no other emotions.
The old man had only spoken to the three women, ignoring him and Chu Molin entirely, so he hadn’t thought much about it.
Why is this woman annoyed? Did something happen? Silver Wolf hadn’t taken the old man’s words seriously, so he missed some clues.
"Alright, stop looking and let’s go," Qin Xue said after hearing Qing Zhu’s near-cursing words, urging them to move on. All this happened just buying sugar figures, she was quite bewildered.
Actually, Qin Xue also felt uneasy inside. Who was that old man? Although he said only a few words, he described the three of them accurately. But what did he mean by calamity approaching her? Having already warned them, why not say a little more?
No doubt about it, she couldn’t be sure if others believed him, but she did, because they hadn’t mentioned their personal matters, yet the old man claimed to know just by glancing at them. She could doubt what he said about her and Qing Zhu, but what about Dongfang Li?
If those words weren’t true, she wouldn’t believe it even if she were beaten to death because Qin Xue only suspected that Dongfang Li and her husband had issues.
And what she told Ah Qi that day confirmed her suspicions; but how did he know Dongfang Li had left on her own? Qin Xue looked over at Dongfang Li, seeing nothing amiss, right?
So putting all these instances together, Qin Xue believed what the old man said was true. Indeed, as he said, something bad might really happen to her soon.
"Don’t worry, I’m here," Chu Molin reached out to touch Qin Xue’s head. He also resented the old man’s words. He normally didn’t believe in these street charlatans, but after realizing where his wife came from, he knew there were many things in this world that science couldn’t explain.
So fortune telling, face reading, you can’t say you don’t believe at all, otherwise how would you explain his wife’s situation?
"I’m fine, let’s go. After buying what they need, let’s also buy some rice and grain to take back." Qin Xue looked up at the man worried about her, then smiled. No point worrying about things that haven’t happened yet.
If that old man were still here, she’d want to curse him. Speaking without clarifying, leaving half the story untold is the most annoying, making people terribly worried yet unaware of what it is – truly maddening.
Qin Xue herself was very annoyed by such people, but right now, there’s nothing she can do about it. She has to go along with it.
