Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 86: Cunning replies
Amelia stood before the mirror, looking at her reflection with a faint smile.
She was dressed in a crimson dress with a large silver flower on her left shoulder and matching silver hanging earrings that reached her collarbone.
With matching red latex gloves and her hair in a messy bun, she looked the epitome of beauty and elegance.
Miss Quinn, who put a silver belt around her waist, smiled in appraisal.
"You are truly stunning, Princess," Miss Quinn said before she pouted.
Seeing the sad look on her face, Amelia turned around.
"What’s wrong?" She asked.
"I am so mad you can’t show your face at the Lunar Ball and tell them you are King Cyrus’ wife. I mean, I understand the former King’s concern, but..." Miss Quinn didn’t know how to express her feelings, and Amelia chuckled at her.
"It’s okay, Miss Quinn. It’s not something that can stay hidden for long. People will find out sooner or later," She smiled before taking the silver mask with a feathered red lining from the bed.
She took a deep breath and wore her silver heels before walking outside the room, descending the stairs where she thought King Cyrus would be waiting.
However, to her dismay, the man had to leave early for the event because King Grayson called him.
She was really hoping to attend her first event with her husband.
Then again, it wasn’t like she could go in the hall hand in hand with him.
It was good in a way, even though she didn’t like it.
"Let’s go, Princess," Harrison said from the door, and Amelia nodded before bidding goodbye to Miss Quinn.
The journey to the venue wasn’t long.
She reached there quicker than she had anticipated, or maybe her nervousness didn’t let her realise how much time passed while she thought about everything that could go wrong and what she needed to take care of.
She entered the venue with Professor Kinsley’s invitation, and the guards bowed to her.
"Please don’t embarrass us, Princess. We know who you are." The guards bowed to her, and the girl smiled awkwardly.
Well, she didn’t know what to expect and didn’t want to worry King Cyrus, so she came with the invitation she had received from the Professor.
As she entered the venue, everyone’s eyes started to turn to her, not because of her aura but because of her beautiful royal gown.
The color theme was divided based on their status in society. Wearing Red and silver for females and Royal blue with red for males meant they were on par with alphas and ministers.
She didn’t want to wear this color, but Cyrus chose it for her. He came home with his first outfit gift for her, and she couldn’t deny it.
Spotting Professor Kinsley with the kind of clothing he was wearing since he had already informed her about it, she was about to walk to him when someone appeared before her, and she stopped.
She looked at the man, his brown eyes staring into her soul.
"Well, isn’t this beautiful girl, our Queen, I mean, Princess Amelia," Dominic said.
Amelia smiled, masking her displeasure, and nodded.
"Hello to you, too, Uncle Dominic," She said.
She wasn’t fearful. He could see that in her eyes, and he didn’t like it.
"I heard about what happened in the Sin Banned pack. It was unfortunate. Please be careful at this party, Princess. I am concerned about the increasing attacks on you. And I can’t see your husband anywhere,"
The man said before he stepped forward, almost hovering over her as he looked down at her.
"Who will protect you?" He asked.
Amelia raised her brows and smiled.
"I am sure my husband isn’t the only man in the crowd here, Uncle Dominic. There are plenty more men who can protect me. See Prince Patrick, for example," Amelia said as she saw Patrick walking away.
The man stopped when he heard his name and turned to his father.
"Princess Amelia?" He asked, and she held her dress before bowing like a lady.
"Your father here was warning me against possible attacks. You will protect your sister-in-law if something like that happens, right?" Amelia asked, blinking her eyes innocently.
Patrick looked at his father, who didn’t look like he was having the best time of his life. The girl wasn’t playing by his script. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
He remembered the words he heard outside his office about a possible attack on Amelia during the Lunar Ball that his father would conduct himself, and smiled bitterly.
"Of course, despite our differences, we are a family. It’s about a royal’s safety," Patrick said.
Amelia turned to Dominic with a suppressed smirk.
"See, uncle, your son will protect me. Now, can I hold him accountable if something happens to me?" she asked, blinking her eyes as if directly challenging him, and Dominic smiled bitterly.
"Have fun tonight. You deserve it after everything you have been going through," Dominic said.
"Thank you so much for caring, Uncle Dominic. I couldn’t wish for a better family. Don’t worry, Uncle. I’ll definitely enjoy," Amelia smiled.
Patrick bit the insides of his cheeks as he saw his father standing tongue-tied before someone who wasn’t Cyrus, and he couldn’t help but praise the girl’s talking skills in his head.
Amelia bowed to them before she continued to make her way towards Professor Kinsley.
"She is a cunning witch," Dominic said, unaware that though Cyrus was busy on the upper floors with his grandfather, talking about the recent rogue attack, his gaze was constantly on his wife, who had arrived a few minutes ago.
The guards had already informed him about her arrival, and he couldn’t help but notice how breathtaking she looked in that crimson dress.
He wondered if she would blush the same color if he removed that dress from over her tonight.
Or would she bleed the same color when he would take her virginity?
The thought resulted in a reaction in his manhood, and he cursed his wolf inwardly, knowing all too well that he was the one planting those thoughts in his head.
"Cyrus, I am explaining something here. Where is your attention?" Grayson’s gaze was serious.
"I am listening," Cyrus said casually.
"Well, it doesn’t look like it," Grayson said, looking at his pants.
Cyrus looked at his pants and cursed inwardly. However, he didn’t show his embarrassment on his face.
"So what? You have enough time with your wife, yet you still run to her once your work is done. Cut me some slack," Cyrus said.
"You!" Grayson pointed his finger at his grandson, but couldn’t rebuke because he knew that young man was right.
"Get lost. We will discuss it later," Grayson said, shaking his head when he saw that the man had left without wasting a second, and had left just like that.
"Now I wonder if marrying him was the right decision. Look at him forgetting about his grandfather and—" He started, but stopped when he earned a smack in his head from his wife, who glared at him.
He chuckled awkwardly before linking his arms with his wife.
"Let’s go," He said with a pout, hoping Amora wouldn’t get angry, and the old lady rolled her eyes.
