Chapter 427: Chapter 427: Ethan Linton’s Hidden Identity

For several consecutive days, Sterling Norwood was seen accompanying Selena Kensington on set, so today when he wasn’t there, many of the crew members curiously asked her.

"Director Kensington, is your husband not coming today?"

Selena raised her eyebrows slightly, amused that Sterling’s status seemed to have risen quite a bit in their eyes over the past few days.

Almost catching up to her.

"He’s gone back to work."

After speaking, she spotted Ethan Linton in the distance.

"Ethan, are you here?"

Today’s scene was between Paloma Quinn and her brother Ian Kaye.

"Go and get changed quickly."

Ethan nodded, "Okay."

Then Ethan went with his assistant to the actors’ dressing room.

Not far away, Lea Dutton saw Ethan enter the dressing room and glanced back at Selena.

Selena was busy discussing today’s plot with the assistant director, not noticing what was happening on this side.

Lea thought for a moment and then followed him in.

Ethan saw Lea appear at the door in the mirror, showing no surprise on his face.

He dismissed his assistant from the room. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"Faceless."

Lea called out.

She adjusted the expression she usually wore in front of Selena to one of seriousness and gravity.

"What’s the matter?"

When alone with Lea, Ethan’s expression turned calm and indifferent.

"That Cole Vaughn... I suspect him."

Lea explained what had happened the day before.

"Even though I was closer to Selena, he appeared at her side faster than I could and saved her."

"Even if calculating at a normal person’s fastest speed, he couldn’t have reached there in an instant."

Since returning, Lea had been trying to verify this.

The calculations confirmed her suspicions.

Upon hearing this, Ethan turned his head.

"Are you suggesting he might be part of that organization?"

His expression remained calm and composed.

Completely devoid of the sunny smile he showed in front of Selena.

Lea pursed her lips slightly, "Just a suspicion."

Ethan’s eyes narrowed a bit.

Though he said nothing, Lea felt the pressure.

"I’m sorry, it’s my negligence."

After a moment, Lea spoke up.

Without sufficient evidence, The Celestial Division wouldn’t investigate a common person without cause.

Although Lea presented her calculations from the previous day, this was her only piece of evidence.

Not enough to warrant a special investigation into Cole Vaughn by The Celestial Division.

"...Dismissed."

"If your suspicions are correct, the Norwood Family won’t let it slide."

Ethan said.

Lea was momentarily taken aback before understanding dawned.

Indeed, the Norwood Family was more aware of the danger than they were regarding the past events.

Especially the threat posed by individuals from that organization...

If Cole Vaughn truly belonged to that organization, Sterling wouldn’t let him stay by Selena’s side.

"I understand."

Lea replied.

After she spoke, she left the room.

Leaving Ethan alone in the room.

He looked at the mirror in front of him, which clearly reflected his figure.

After a while, his lips slowly curled into a smile.

One with a sinister, creeping meaning.

After leaving, Lea went to find Selena.

"Lea? I was just about to look for you..."

Upon seeing her, Selena immediately called her over.

Lea hid her inner worries and smiled, "Sister, is there something you need?"

"Hmm, it’s almost the end of the year. We should give the crew a three-day break."

"You go ahead and spread the word later."

Selena had only just remembered during her discussion with the assistant director that the year-end was approaching soon.

Time had flown by so quickly.

"Alright, sure."

Lea agreed.

Afterward, when Sloane Hawthorne and Ethan Linton had changed into their costumes, Selena instructed the departments to start shooting.

Paloma Quinn was able to reach Trinleigh, the capital of The Valerion Kingdom, only thanks to the life-risking escort of the Hidden Guards from Vorlag’s crown.

She didn’t seek Ian Kaye out immediately.

Because she feared that doing so would further distress him; having lost their parents and country, she couldn’t bear to lose her only brother.

However, as her reputation grew as the top Dancing Girl in The Valerion Kingdom, Ian still became aware of her.

Reluctantly, Paloma went to Londern Temple to meet Ian.

The siblings, upon meeting, did not shed tears nor lament; they simply looked at each other from afar.

"It’s been a long time, Princess."

Ian addressed Paloma as ’Princess’, as if their homeland hadn’t been destroyed.

As if Paloma was still the esteemed Princess.

No matter how strong Paloma had remained, how composed she had appeared, hearing Ian call her ’Princess’ made her eyes well up.

"It’s been a long time, Prince."

They greeted each other from a distance.

But only they truly understood the depth of their pain and sorrow.

Yet both knew these feelings didn’t need to be verbalized.

Later, Paloma and Ian conversed throughout the night.

Paloma shared her plans with Ian.

When Ian learned of Paloma’s intent to approach Rhys Kidd and use him for revenge against Karth, he expressed strong opposition.

He was so agitated that he coughed up blood on the spot.

He resented his frail body, feeling powerless and unable to do anything.

His helplessness forced his sister to strategize their future piece by piece.

Watching Paloma’s determined expression, Ian murmured, "Sister... The Crown Prince of War in The Valerion Kingdom, he... is not an ordinary man..."

Paloma paused; she was well aware of her brother’s keen insight.

For Ian to admire someone like this, what kind of person was Rhys Kidd really?

But Paloma had no way back; she had already taken the first step.

Soon after, Paloma successfully entered the Crown Prince’s Manor, becoming one of the dancing girls there.

And Ian became her secret strategist.

He watched as his sister’s expression changed whenever she mentioned Rhys Kidd.

Though she maintained her composed facade, the fleeting admiration in her eyes did not escape Ian’s notice.

It was then he understood that his sister had eventually fallen.

Today, Sloane Hawthorne and Ethan Linton were in excellent form; they only had a few NGs and mostly completed scenes in a single take.

By noon break, Selena told the assistant director, "Let’s wrap up Ian’s scenes this afternoon."

The assistant director, looking at the monitor showing the just-filmed scenes, nodded.

"Might as well speed up."

There were still many large scenes requiring on-location shooting.

Speeding up the current film city shoot was certainly a good thing.

After all, those large scenes required meticulous attention to detail.

Ian’s scenes were relatively few.
