One-Eyed Monster-Chapter 745 - 742: Chaotic Scene
"How... how does this relate to you wanting to acquire the secrets sealed within Guru Mountain?" Estev continued to ask. After answering Kuyi Tulan's question, he reverted to his own concerns.
"No, you're wrong. I don't want to *acquire* the secrets sealed within the mountain; I just want to *understand*. There's a big difference!" Kuyi Tulan hastily corrected Estev. If the Great Mentor weren't present, he wouldn't care about such distinctions, but with the Great Mentor here, he was very particular about these terms.
Estev didn't understand all this. He was a fundamentally traditional man—conservative and obstinate. Now, at Guru Mountain, he had encountered many different things. Although he had lost an arm and nearly his life, he still felt strangely fulfilled at this moment.
Change often comes subtly. Estev, this old-fashioned man, didn't realize he had already begun to change unconsciously.
It could be said that everyone who came to Guru Mountain had undergone changes; this was something no one had anticipated.
Guru Mountain had weathered many storms recently. These storms had brought about some qualitative changes in the mountain, and the people who ascended it had also changed along with it. Most of the people from the foot of the mountain had come up, thanks to Kuyi Tulan. He had brought these Treasure Hunters to the mountain, allowing them to witness the moment the Dark Force was defeated by sunlight.
Currently, these people were all out of strength, lying haphazardly on an open space on the mountain. They were still puzzled, wondering how the people from the Alchemy Workshop and those monsters could be so powerful and still be standing so far away...
The Treasure Hunters watched these individuals from afar. They had no idea what had transpired in Moonflow Stream. They even thought those people were coexisting harmoniously, because from a distance, there were no signs of animosity among them...
Kuyi Tulan had previously brought them up the mountain, intending to use an Alchemy Array to borrow their Spirit Power and Energy. However, in the face of the Dark Force, he couldn't even implement his new array, making the effort of bringing them up the mountain entirely futile; it had served no purpose whatsoever.
However, now was not the time to consider these people. Kuyi Tulan felt he needed to glean more information about the Guru Mountain scroll. Back at the foot of the mountain, he had already learned some of its contents from Scholar Manjia.
"Don't you consider whether you can *handle* the sealed secret? If you can't handle it, what can you possibly understand about it?" Estev asked. He naturally didn't understand Kuyi Tulan's reply.
"If we don't explore, how can we know if we can handle it?" Kuyi Tulan retorted. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
His words were resonant, making onlookers like Igor feel a surge of excitement. Isn't this the meaning of exploration?
To explore, then inform others of all your findings, sharing your emotions and discoveries—isn't that the essence of exploration? Igor even felt he was beginning to understand Kuyi Tulan.
However, this fleeting moment of understanding vanished when he glanced at Kuren and Yuga. He couldn't help but let out a few cold snickers.
HMPH. HMPH HMPH.
The cold snickers were chilling. Everyone reflexively looked at Igor. What on earth is he laughing at? And why does it sound so strange and derisive...?
Igor noticed the looks directed his way but remained unperturbed; he had already prepared his explanation. "Is *this* the result of your exploration?"
With that, Igor extended his hand, pointing at Kuren, Yuga, and the others. "Is the result of your exploration turning people into monsters, and then you shamelessly claim to have mastered this power?"
Kadi stared blankly at Igor, suddenly realizing, This Igor is truly a remarkable person, daring to say and do anything...
Of course, this wasn't the first time Kadi had felt this way. He had often thought Igor was an incredible person.
Facing Kuyi Tulan, Igor showed not a shred of fear. His words were harsh; clearly, he sided with the monsters.
Kadi couldn't help but ponder. How can Igor do this? He was also very angry with Kuyi Tulan, but he could never bring himself to speak with such forcefulness as Igor.
Faced with Igor's accusations, Kuyi Tulan showed no sign of panic. He remained as impassive as ever, as if Igor's questions couldn't harm him in the slightest.
"Sacrifice. Change requires sacrifice. You people still cannot understand this."
Igor detested this kind of answer; it reeked of blatant discrimination. It's as if he always thinks others haven't experienced as much, that being older gives him a natural superiority, always wanting to use such baseless things to pressure people.
This behavior is awful, and now Kuyi Tulan is treating me this way.
"Then tell us, when will we be able to understand? Will it be after you've turned us into monsters? Will we understand then? Tell me, even if we understand at that point, what good would it do?" Igor pressed, completely disregarding Kuyi Tulan's status.
"You! How dare you speak to our Chief like that!" Pedro, unable to listen any longer, stepped forward and rebuked Igor.
"And how are *you* speaking?" Pedro's outburst was the spark that ignited everyone's emotions.
Kuren was the first to speak up for Igor. They hadn't wanted to waste words and intended to fight directly. But these Alchemists were getting worked up, actually treating Kuyi Tulan like some significant figure.
They couldn't tolerate it, so they seized on Igor's opening and retorted sharply.
In an instant, Moonflow Stream descended into a chaotic scene.
The monsters of Guru Mountain and the people from the Alchemy Workshop exchanged barbs, completely disregarding any past courtesies. It was as if both sides had their own principles to uphold, with neither willing to yield.
The clamorous arguments and general bedlam made Igor fall silent. He wasn't used to such disorderly disputes and chose to observe quietly amidst the chaos.
He noticed Stan Sol. He also seems to be an onlooker, not participating in this chaotic dispute.
But this onlooker seems very anxious, as if something is troubling him.
The ever-helpful Igor naturally wouldn't miss this chance. He always wanted to help people, didn't he?
The scene was incredibly lively; people who were previously unrelated had suddenly become adversarial because of Kuyi Tulan, and the arguments grew increasingly intense.
Amidst the chaos, only Stan Sol maintained his air of mystery. His anxious expression made one wonder what he was concerned about.
Igor was drawn to this mystery, feeling an irresistible urge to find out more...
