Rebirth Immortal-Chapter 50 -
Chapter 50: Chapter 50
Zhao Tian paced back and forth in his hidden chamber. His mind was clouded with rage and fear. He had spent years plotting and scheming, building alliances and securing his position, but now everything was crumbling. The elders had turned on him, and the Yan family was no longer a reliable ally. The very foundation of his plans had shattered in a single moment.
He slammed his fist into the wall, the impact leaving a crack in the stone. "Damn it!" he cursed under his breath. He had thought that by eliminating Zhao Ming, he would have gained the upper hand. Instead, he had brought down the wrath of the entire Zhao family upon himself.
His thoughts raced as he tried to think of a way out. The Yan family, once his supporters, were now distancing themselves. The evidence was undeniable—Zhao Ming had exposed him, and the entire family knew of his betrayal. There was no escaping it now. Zhao Ming had proven himself to be a far more formidable opponent than Zhao Tian had ever anticipated.
Zhao Tian's mind turned to Ye Chen. The man who had always been a silent shadow, watching from the sidelines, had become a threat. Zhao Tian had underestimated him, thinking that Ye Chen was just another weakling. But now, with Ye Chen's influence over Zhao Ming and the other elders, Zhao Tian knew he had lost the battle for power.
He gritted his teeth, his mind working furiously. "I won't let them win. I still have a few cards to play."
In his desperation, Zhao Tian's thoughts turned to his last-ditch option—an alliance with the Yan family. He needed them now more than ever, but it was clear that they were wavering. He had already exposed himself as a traitor, and the Yan family had no reason to trust him. Yet, if he could somehow turn the tide in his favor, he might still have a chance to regain control.
His eyes narrowed as a dark idea formed in his mind. He knew he couldn't go down without a fight. He would have to use everything at his disposal, no matter the cost.
Meanwhile, Zhao Ming stood outside the Zhao family estate, his gaze fixed on the horizon. He felt a sense of calm washing over him, knowing that his actions had set the stage for the downfall of Zhao Tian. The battle for control was not over, but the first strike had been made, and it had landed squarely on Zhao Tian's shoulders.
Ye Chen stood beside him, his expression unreadable. "You've done well, Zhao Ming," he said, his voice low but filled with respect. "But this is only the beginning. Zhao Tian won't go down easily. He'll fight back with everything he has."
Zhao Ming nodded. "I know. But I won't let him destroy what my family has built. He's played his hand, and now it's my turn."
Lin Xia, who had been quietly observing, stepped forward. "What's our next move?" she asked. Her voice was firm, and there was no doubt in her eyes. She was ready for whatever came next.
Zhao Ming turned to her, his eyes sharp. "We keep the pressure on him. We'll expose every connection he has to the Yan family, and we'll make sure the elders know that his actions threaten the very foundation of the Zhao family."
Ye Chen nodded in agreement. "And we'll be ready for whatever Zhao Tian throws at us. He's dangerous when cornered, but he's already made his mistake. He'll have nowhere to run."
Zhao Ming's gaze hardened. "He's not just a threat to me—he's a threat to everyone who's worked to build this family. I won't let him tear it apart."
As the days passed, Zhao Tian's isolation deepened. He had no allies left, and his reputation within the Zhao family had been irreparably damaged. The once-strong patriarch of the family was now a pariah, his every move watched by the elders and the rest of the clan. Every attempt he made to reach out to the Yan family was met with silence.
Frustration built within him. His plans had failed, and now, he was cornered. His mind constantly turned over every possible escape, but there seemed to be no way out. The elders had already begun the process of removing him from his position of power, and even his most loyal supporters had begun to turn their backs on him.
Desperation led him to a reckless decision. Zhao Tian reached out to the few remaining allies he had left, those still loyal to him. He would make one final play to regain control, no matter the cost.
Late one night, as the moon hung high in the sky, Zhao Tian summoned his remaining loyalists to a secret meeting in the outskirts of the Zhao estate. The room was dimly lit, and the air was thick with tension. Zhao Tian sat at the head of the table, his face a mask of determination. The few men and women who remained by his side gathered around him, their faces anxious but resolute.
"We're running out of time," Zhao Tian said, his voice low but fierce. "Zhao Ming and Ye Chen are moving against us. If we don't act quickly, we'll lose everything. The Yan family has already begun to distance themselves, but we still have a chance."
One of his loyalists, a man with a rough face and calloused hands, spoke up. "What do you propose, Master Zhao? We've tried reaching out to the Yan family, but they've turned their backs on us. We're isolated."
Zhao Tian's eyes gleamed with cold resolve. "We don't need the Yan family anymore. We can take control of the Zhao family without them. We'll strike at Zhao Ming's weakest point—the people he trusts the most."
Another loyalist, a woman with sharp eyes, spoke hesitantly. "You're not suggesting we attack Ye Chen directly, are you? He's not someone we can defeat easily."
Zhao Tian smiled coldly. "Not directly. But we can turn his allies against him. We know enough about Ye Chen's past. There are secrets we can use, weaknesses we can exploit. If we can sow discord among his people, we'll force him into a corner."
The room fell silent as the weight of his words sank in. Zhao Tian had a plan—a risky, dangerous plan, but it was their only option. If they didn't act now, they would be finished.

One of the men at the table spoke up, his voice rough with uncertainty. "And what if we fail? What if Zhao Ming and Ye Chen retaliate?"
Zhao Tian's eyes hardened. "Then we fight. We don't back down. We will not let them take everything we've worked for."
The loyalists exchanged uneasy glances, but in the end, they all nodded. They were in this together now, bound by their loyalty to Zhao Tian. Whether they liked it or not, they would follow him into the storm.
Zhao Tian's smile widened. "Good. Let's make our move."
The stage was set. Both sides were preparing for the final confrontation, each trying to outwit the other. Zhao Ming and Ye Chen were confident in their victory, but they knew that Zhao Tian was dangerous when cornered. They couldn't afford to underestimate him.
As Zhao Tian began to put his plan into motion, the Zhao family estate was on the brink of a full-scale battle for control. The storm that had been brewing for years was about to break, and the outcome would determine the future of the family.
Who would emerge victorious? Only time would tell, but one thing was certain—the stakes had never been higher.
