Rebirth: I Will Win Easily in the Apocalypse-Chapter 9 - 6 Proposing and Getting a Marriage License
Chapter 9: Chapter 6 Proposing and Getting a Marriage License
Gu Yanzhi and Song Zhao had met up with Gu Yanlin in Country D, stored their purchased items, and without much delay, immediately left the country.
Their next stop was Africa, where they visited several countries and bought large quantities of coal, oil, and natural gas. They always took off as soon as they received the goods, but their activities still caught the attention of some observant people.
However, their vigilance was high. They changed their appearances and used fake documents in each place they visited, which prevented them from being found immediately.
By the time they returned to their country, there was less than half a month left until the apocalypse.
Upon returning home, they couldn't afford to rest, checking off the items from their purchasing list. Seeing all items marked off, they breathed a sigh of relief.
Finally able to relax their tense nerves, a feeling of fatigue washed over them, and they quickly went to their rooms to take a bath and then to bed.
In the last half-month abroad, due to the pressing time, they shifted continuously from one activity to another. Plus, with the worry of their secrets being exposed, and constantly hiding, even when they did get a chance to rest, they didn't sleep soundly.
When Gu Yanzhi woke up, the room was still pitch dark. Reaching over to the spot next to her which was still warm, she realized Song Zhao wasn't in bed.
Yawning, she sat up from bed and looked at the time on her mobile phone, it was already past 2 PM.
Having slept for over twenty hours, Gu Yanzhi felt refreshed, with all her fatigue gone. She got out of bed, opened the heavy curtains, and the bright sunshine filtered through the window, warm and comforting. Gu Yanzhi stretched lazily, stood by the window, and enjoyed the rare moment of contentment.
It was at this moment that Song Zhao entered the room. The sunlight cast a warm, beautiful glow on the girl, causing Song Zhao to pause and stare for a moment in a daze.
Upon hearing the noise, Gu Yanzhi turned around and saw Song Zhao, her eyes brightened, and she smiled, "Zhaozhao, good afternoon."
Song Zhao smiled too, walked behind Gu Yanzhi, wrapped her arms around her, rested her head on Gu Yanzhi's shoulder, and together they enjoyed the peaceful moment.
"Grumble~"
Suddenly, Gu Yanzhi's stomach growled, breaking the beautiful moment.
"Hungry, huh? Go wash up, and then come out to eat," Song Zhao said a bit annoyed. The airplane food wasn't tasty, and Gu Yanzhi didn't eat much on the plane or after returning home yesterday. It had been almost a day and a night since she last ate.
"Okay," Gu Yanzhi turned her head, tiptoed, and kissed Song Zhao on the cheek, then headed towards the bathroom.
After washing up, Gu Yanzhi entered the living room, where Song Zhao had already prepared the meal on the dining table.
Song Zhao served a bowl of rice for her and another for herself, sitting down across from her.
"Morning, Brother Zhao,"
"What's cooking? It smells great."
Just after taking a few bites, Gu Yanlin came out of his room, yawning and bleary-eyed.
"Come and eat before it gets cold."
Gu Yanlin quickly brushed his teeth, ran to the dining table, served himself a bowl of rice, and started eating enthusiastically.
After the meal, Song Zhao brought over two large suitcases that had been delivered in the morning, containing jade stones purchased with the help of someone during this time.

"All the money must be spent, right?" Gu Yanzhi asked, opening the suitcase and looking at the hundreds of pieces of jade stones of varying sizes.
The quality of these jade stones was very good, with the majority being old pit glass species jade, and the least were ice jades. With so many, they were worth at least a couple of billion.
After stocking up, they had about that much left.
"Yep, just finished spending it," Song Zhao nodded in response.
Initially, their plan was to stock up on some rare metals as capital for living after the apocalypse ended. However, after discovering the secret of upgrading the space, they decided to spend the money on stocking jade stones for space upgrading instead.
After all, this space was the best asset they had to survive the apocalypse.
After dinner, Gu Yanzhi and Song Zhao went out for a walk, leaving Gu Yanlin grumbling alone at home washing the dishes.
The residential area had gradually been filling up with residents. Although not many, it had begun to look lively. Children ran around on the streets, and a few couples, like them, were out for a walk.
"Hopefully, the government will believe that letter," Gu Yanzhi whispered, watching the liveliness around her.
While abroad, they had sent an anonymous email to the relevant national departments, writing about the impending apocalypse and describing the natural disasters they would face.
