Chapter 92: 92. Back Into The Soul Void

92. Back Into The Soul Void

Eryndor code to stay seated on the bed of leaves for the next few minutes and make sure he was safe and of course he was refering to his senior discipline. Or was is former senior disciple, he was never his senior disciple to begin with. Eryndor was confused on what term to use to justify their relationship, for one the only thing they had in common was their masters and nothing else.

After making sure that Ash would not attack him he proceeded to dive into the soul void, while knowing fully well that his body would be defneseless in the real world. Every time he went into the soul void he would lose all connection with his physical body, it made Eryndor wonder what would happened if someone perhaps cut his body to pieces while he was in the soul void or if they dumped his body in the ocean. Now that would be a dreadful experience.

Eryndor felt very uncertain with leaving his body while Ash was in the cage, but he believes if he wanted him dead he would have died from the first day he was brought there. Still he would have been more comfortable if guards were stationed there just in case the crazy one went, well crazy.

Entering into the soul void it was just as it had always been only lighter and filled with a more magical aura than it was in the past. If he remembered correctly he had received something from killing the lightning ogre.

[You have slain an awakened beast hybrid "Lightning Ogre"

You have recieved 4 soul essence

Bonus Reward will be given for killing a new species]

["Golden Eye" had evolved]

As Eryndor’s astral form hovered in the soul void he started to think very deeply on what had happened to him earlier. Borrowing the power of his master had put him in a worse shape than he had expected. But truthfully he did not prepare for it since he was in the heat if the moment. He wondered what would have happened if Elise of crazy Ash had not been there for him.

He reassured himself that next time he would he more conscious of his actions and more importantly ally himself with a healer.

Back to the earlier messages the legacy had displayed he noticed he got double the number of soul essence he would normally get from killing an awakened beast.

"I wonder if it’s because it’s an hybrid beast? What’s an hybrid beast anyway?" He asked but there was no one to answer him, not even the taunting voice of his master just silence. He could barely feel his master’s prescence. "Hey master, are you awake? If he’s sleeping then I guess borrowing his power tired him out."

"That will be the last time I borrow someone else’s power." He reassured himself.

But what really was an hybrid beast. The image that came to his mind when he thought of the word hybrid was a half man half bull creature. Or a tiger with two heads, one was the tigers and the others a squid like hippopotamus. Wait where was he going with this anyway.

He shook his head before he would think up more things, "What if hybrid means beasts combined with magic attributes. Speaking of magic attributes no one told me lightning was in the mix."

Eryndor’s mind went back to the battle he considered it his loss despite winning. Had he won with his own power it would have been a difernysyory entirely. His only mistake was that he relied too much on one magic attribute making it useless in that fight.

"A bonus reward was gifted right?" He asked the legacy and light shimmered before him and the translucent white plaque appeared before him.

[Bonus Reward: Enhancement Core

Name: Blood Lightning Core

Rank: B

Attributes: Uses the emotions of the wielder to create lightning attribute]

Eryndor’s face went pale as he came to the full realisation that he knew nothing of what he was reading. Sometimes he wished he had a manual to the damn thing but apparently he did not and that was a very huge loss. If it was an enhancement core then did that mean it could be used to enhance, weapons. It was the only thought that came to mind and in all of his weapons the only one that was combat capable was the ice fang dagger he had gotten from killing the ice serpent in his early years training in the ice mountain region.

Though he was more versed in using swords the dagger was the only other offensive weapon he had so he was compelled to try it anyway. He summoned the beautiful steel dagger with its shiny silver blade that was slightly curved and had engravings in it. He remembered how soft and cool it’s handle was and resisted the urge to march back to the real world to plunge the little thing into Ash’s heart.

He brought up the information on the dagger.

[Items: Ice Fang Dagger

Item Rank: Normal

Item Rank: They say the fangs of a true ice serpent carries a paralysing chill]

Now unto the next page he saw what he might have been looking for the enhancements feature.

[Item Enchantments:

"Paralysis": the sorrowful tears of the ice serpent will slow down it’s prey by your will

Special Enchantment: None]

Looking at he dagger he wondered why he never once wieldedit in a battle. In the end it all came down to preference, a sword had a longer reach but a dagger would need him to get more close and personal. Although his dagger had an enchantment he did not beat the battle prowess to use it. In that moment he remembered that the orange haired beast girl also used daggers

"I wonder if she can teach me?" He thought but then remembered how he violated her. "Something tells me she might need a lot more persuasion in that regard."

"I wonder if I can use the enhancemen core on it." He thought and soon got a response from the legacy. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

[Infusing enhancement core "Blood Lightning Core" into the selected weapon]

"Wait a minute you, I never gave my permission." He cried but the deed has already been done.
