Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Moon-Worshipping Wolves

"AWOOOOOO!" the wolf howled, his paws hitting the ground as he rushed forward with his pack...

"Woof?" it suddenly exclaimed when it was a hundred steps away from the formation.

"Woof, woof woof woof?"

"Hmm? I have moonlight on my body?" Fengyu asked, surprised when he heard this, his hands not slowing down as he cast Wood Recovery on Ling while removing the earth bullet with his vitality control art and spiritual control art.

"Woof? Woof, wooof?" the leading wolf suddenly asked.

"Yes I can speak.. wolf-ish?" Fengyu said, getting closer to the formation after healing her.

Ming and Ling looked at the interaction weirdly but didn’t say anything, only recovering their spiritual power in this small delay.

"Woof, woof woof woof?"

"Of course the moon is the greatest thing in the sky! The sun is just a hot ball, how can it compare to the moon that reflects the land below us?" he answered the wolf asking him whether the sun or the moon were the greatest.

"Woof? Woof, woof, woof!" Reflect? But, you’re right, the moon is the best!

"Awooooo!" the wolf suddenly howled, commanding his wolves to stop behind him while he approached the formation.

"Woof, woof woof? Woof, woof."

"You’re asking me whether I’m willing to not attack? I am but a small herder, focusing on raising my ducks. Why would I care about fighting?"

"Woof? Woof, woof!"

"Oh yeah this is Wind Claw..." Fengyu nodded and pointed at Wind Claw who was right next to him.

"Woof woof! Woof woof, woof woof?"

"Ah, did that boar say this... yeah, we were the ones that killed that fire boar. We didn’t intend to allow the earth boar to survive, but a stronger beast appeared in the distance, which is why we ran away."

"Woof! Woof, woof! Woof woof woof... woof!" – Really! You really killed him! That strong beast was the giant bear... an annoying meddlesome rat!

"Then, do you also not intend to fight? In that case, what about these rats and small beasts?"

"Woof woof woof?"

"No I don’t need them, you can take them if you want."

"Awooo!" the wolf suddenly howled and the pack of wolves hurried forward, instantly attacking the small beasts in front of it, eating them with relish.

Then it suddenly exclaimed several woofs, raising his claws at another wolf.

"Wait! You need to inflict wounds to explain to that bear? Then, wouldn’t it be bad if the wounds look like wolf claws?

How about I inflict some wounds on you guys, and I’ll then come back later to heal you?" Fengyu decided to step forward and make an offer.

This wolf leader was extremely kind, directly allowing him to be after they only had a short exchange. And it was so smart, being so decisive in every way...

"Woof? Woof woof woof!"

"Yeah I can cast healing spells. Do you want me to show it to you? You can just inflict a claw wound and I’ll do it."

"Woof!" the wolf agreed and raised its claw, instantly slashing towards another wolf.

Fengyu could see silver-blue light on the claw when it hit, restricted yet present.

’Is this the innate ability of these wolves?’ he was curious but didn’t pry.

"Awoo- aw- aw- awoo!" the other wolf cried out in pain.

Fengyu moved his hands, his thoughts winding as he cast "Wood Recovery Spell, Recover!"

The wolf looked intently at Fengyu, only allowing the spell to hit his wolf when he saw it wasn’t dangerous.

In a short moment the sphere of green flew over the slightly opened formation and entered the body of the wolf, directly forming a thin green veil.

After another moment, the green veil constricted and filled the wound with its green light.

A wondrous sight appeared –

In just moments, the green light actually receded while flesh and skin regenerated!

"So, this is how healing truly looks?" Fengyu exclaimed in surprise at the sight.

An image appeared before his eyes as he observed it – it was so close yet disappeared a second after.

"Huh? What was that?" he was shocked but couldn’t even pinpoint what had happened!

"Woof!" the wolf’s woof attracted his attention again as it exclaimed that his spells actually worked!

Fengyu nodded, then explained, "I can cast my spells now, they’re a bit strong so don’t move, else I might hit a weak point, making recovery more difficult!"

He wasn’t specialised in wolf bodies, so he had to be extremely careful!

"Woof!" the leading wolf said, stepping forward and asking him to hit him.

Fengyu nodded and cast rapidly, "Silver Feather Spell, Shoot!" he shouted.

But this time, the spell only moved slowly out of the formation, approaching the body of the wolf and moving towards the side of its body, slicing through like a hot knife cutting butter!

"Woof?" the wolf asked in surprise as it saw only some blood flowing out of the wound. The wound looked like a gash but barely hurt him.

"This is mostly just a skin wound, nothing major. It looks deep from the outside but is rather weak. Here, let me put the blood of these beasts on you, so that it looks even more like a huge wound!" Fengyu said and used his spiritual control art to gather the blood on the ground and apply it on the wolf’s body in a pattern.

"Woof!" the wolf suddenly leaped and jumped onto the ground into the blood, directly applying it over his body as if he had been slammed down.

"This... works too."

"Woof!" it stood up and told Fengyu to continue.

"Well, let my friends also do a bit, so it doesn’t look like only one person fought you all."

The wolf agreed and looked at the two younglings behind Fengyu, thinking these were puppies of Fengyu’s pack.

"Go ahead, just create some flashy wounds, don’t attack them." Fengyu told the twins who got a general idea of what was happening.

They looked weird but nodded, using whips and bullets together with Fengyu’s feather to create injuries on all the wolves...
