It must be that fake Buddha Tathagata planning to attack me. That fake Buddha doesn’t understand scripture, only practices mana, and his methods are violent and cruel. I’m no match, so I had no choice but to come to my dear senior brother for help."

Maitreya Buddha looked pitifully at Bai Jin, with neither the might of the strongest nor such a formidable Law Enforcement Team under his command, he could only come seeking help.

Maitreya himself knows, when facing Emperor Gouchen, his feelings are quite complex. Clearly, Emperor Gouchen has his own plans, but he just can’t stay away from him.

He also understands that sometimes he is being used, even to the detriment of Buddhist interests, yet he can’t bring himself to hate him; he even has a certain trust and dependence on him. At least when he faces difficulties, the only one in the Three Realms who is willing and might help him is this Emperor Gouchen.

When Tathagata established the Small Mahayana Buddhism, Emperor Gouchen helped him contend for the position of Buddha, providing unsecured loans of money. Was it useful? Very useful! The numerous indebted Buddha Bodhisattva Arhats had no choice but to pawn their palaces, medicine fields, Spiritual Treasures, and spiritual materials, instantly reverting to the time before Spiritual Mountain was established.

But did it affect him? Not at all; he actually profited significantly from it.

The third time, just recently, Bai Jin proactively sought him out, facilitating his rise to Buddha.

The result is that Buddhism split into two, with himself seizing the powers of a Buddha, though forced to the impoverished highland, he nonetheless achieved the dignity of being a Buddha.

Now, to secure his position as Buddha, he had to seek Bai Jin’s help once more. As for the consequences, it no longer mattered. The only one who could and would help him now was the great Emperor Gouchen.

Maitreya Buddha looked pitifully at Bai Jin, his large moist eyes blinking, "My dear senior brother, you must help me!"

Bai Jin tapped his fingers on the edge of the table thoughtfully, "If it’s just to deal with Duo Bao Tathagata, I do have a magic treasure."

Maitreya Buddha’s eyes lit up, then he skeptically asked, "Senior brother, you aren’t teasing me, are you? What magic treasure could threaten the strongest Quasi-Saint? Could it be a Saint’s Treasures?"

Bai Jin smiled and raised his hand, revealing a scroll in his palm. He said with a grin, "Why would we need a Saint’s Treasures? Take this with you. When you meet Tathagata, open the scroll, and he will retreat."

Maitreya Buddha reached out to take the scroll and asked in confusion, "Senior brother, what’s inside this scroll? Can it really drive away the evil Tathagata? You wouldn’t harm me, right?"

Bai Jin laughed heartily, "Just take it, if it doesn’t drive Tathagata away, you can give me a bad review. Besides, when have I ever harmed you?"

Maitreya Buddha held the scroll, examined it, and curiously asked, "Senior brother, can I open it now?"

"Best not to. If you open it now, Tathagata will sense it immediately and be prepared, possibly rendering it ineffective next time."

Maitreya Buddha quickly put the scroll away, stood up, and solemnly bowed with gratitude, "Thank you, senior brother, for the treasure. Once I’ve repelled the evil Tathagata, I’ll surely invite you to the highland for a visit to express my thanks."

Bai Jin replied with a smile, "Justice has never succumbed to evil since ancient times. I believe I’ll be visiting the highland soon to see your great sect."

"Haha~ Thanks for the auspicious words, senior brother," Maitreya Buddha said eagerly, "Senior brother, with the evil Buddha looming, I can’t stay long. I must take my leave."

Bai Jin stood up and said, "I’ll see you out, junior brother."

"Thank you, senior brother!" Maitreya Buddha bowed again.

Bai Jin escorted Maitreya Buddha out of the Emperor Palace, waving goodbye.

A moment later, Bai Jin returned triumphantly, humming a tune: "I send you away, thousands of miles away, you in silent black and white, perhaps in a silent era, we ought not love so far away..."

Gu Liang came bouncing out from the orchard, smiling and asking, "Senior brother, what are you singing? Who have you fallen in love with?"
