Pampered By My Fake Boyfriend's Brother-Chapter 17 Convulsions
Chapter 17 - 17 Convulsions
"I just happen to have a discount coupon, so we won't spend much," Su Yifeng said, looking at her with big, sincere eyes.
As he spoke, a hint of a reserved smile spread across his face, emanating a warm aura.
"Then, let's go." Since he put it that way, An Yin had no reason to refuse.
Indeed, many restaurants offer some kind of discount coupon, and An Yin didn't think much of Su Yifeng's words.
The two arrived at a bright, private restaurant.
Upon entering, An Yin's eyes were immediately attracted to the scene inside. The restaurant was entirely in a Chinese style, with small bridges and flowing water, and lush greenery brought indoors, giving a tranquil feeling as if one were in a bamboo grove.
"This way, please!"
A waitress approached them with a smile, showing the way.
Su Yifeng nodded.
An Yin quietly followed behind him.
As the waitress led them to the private room door, An Yin instinctively whispered, "Actually, we can sit in the hall." She finished and nervously awaited his reaction.
With her head lowered, Su Yifeng could only see the top of her head from his angle, her jet-black long hair gently swayed. Retracting his greedy gaze, he replied with a smile, "Okay."
An Yin suddenly lifted her head. Though aware of his habitual thoughtfulness, she felt embarrassed by his quick agreement.
Feeling ashamed for being so frugal when someone else was treating her to a meal, An Yin pushed down the strong sense of guilt by thinking of her difficult circumstances.
Her mother was still ill, and with her family needing money, she had to save wherever possible!
In the end, they sat at a window seat in the hall.
The hall was crowded, and An Yin hadn't expected the private restaurant to be so popular.
"So many people!" An Yin couldn't help but exclaim.
"Not bad," Su Yifeng, seeing her look of amazement, explained, "The chef here is famous."
Su Yifeng didn't reveal too much, fearing it might startle her. If she knew that the private restaurant's chef was considered a national treasure and that dining here required a reservation, she might drag him out immediately!
An Yin didn't think much of his words, simply assuming the chef was excellent; she didn't think further, "Oh, how do you have a coupon for this place?"
Was the restaurant's popularity due to everyone having coupons? An Yin wondered.
"My brother's company issued some coupons, and since he didn't have time, he gave them to me," Su Yifeng, feeling guilty, poured himself a cup of tea to mask his inner panic.

An Yin didn't suspect anything, nodded, and smiled faintly as he helped pour her a cup of tea, "Thank you."
When the waitress brought the menu, An Yin didn't even look and directly handed it to Su Yifeng, "You order, I'm not picky."
"Alright," Su Yifeng smiled as she sat obediently, treating the menu like a hot potato, "I'll order then."
He casually drew a few marks on the menu, while An Yin, busy observing her surroundings, didn't notice.
When the waitress served the exquisite dishes, An Yin tightly clenched her pants, her nervous expression showing, "Did we order too much?"
Actually, she wanted to ask if they could cancel some dishes.
Two people with six dishes, two desserts, and a snack... though the portions weren't much, it seemed quite expensive! An Yin stared at the table teary-eyed, without touching her chopsticks.
Despite her worried and conflicted look, her delicate and innocent face stood out, making Su Yifeng find her both cute and charming.
"The coupon says we need to order at least eight items to use it," Su Yifeng fibbed.
Huh?
Such a predatory coupon? An Yin was dumbfounded.
"How much discount does your coupon give? Or is it a reduction based on spending?" An Yin grew more curious.
"Cough, cough..."
Su Yifeng, mid-drink, was startled by her barrage of questions, choking and coughing non-stop.
He hadn't expected that a small good-natured lie would require so many more lies to cover it up.
Could he honestly tell her that this private restaurant belonged to his family?
"Cough, cough..."
Su Yifeng's face turned red from coughing.
This was the price for lying!
"Senior, are you okay?" An Yin stood slightly, offering him a cup of water, "Take a sip."
Su Yifeng took the cup, "Tha... cough, cough..."
"Drink slowly." Watching him even choke on water, An Yin couldn't help but blurt out.
His embarrassment was complete at her words.
The only comfort for Su Yifeng was that after this tiny incident, An Yin didn't bring up the coupon again.
They resumed eating in silence.
When they finished, An Yin stared at the empty plates, her face flushed!
She had worried about not finishing the food, yet it was all gone. The dishes at this restaurant were so unique, and every bite was a culinary delight.
Never particular about food, as long as it filled her stomach, An Yin didn't expect that attention to detail in a dish would make it taste so great.
"I need to visit the restroom," An Yin informed him.
"Sure," Su Yifeng pointed the way, "Just walk straight down this path and turn right."
"Got it," An Yin acknowledged and stood up.
Following Su Yifeng's directions, she quickly reached the restroom entrance. Just as she was about to enter, she spotted a little girl in a frilly dress, around seven or eight years old, in the corner. An Yin was about to look away when she saw the girl suddenly collapse, limbs convulsing.
An Yin rushed over and crouched down.
Was the little girl having a seizure?
This idea struck An Yin, and her whole body trembled uncontrollably, "Little sister..." Having never encountered such a situation, she called out, her eyes reddened, staring at the girl on the ground.
Fumbling, An Yin pulled out her phone, dialing emergency services, providing the exact location.
Seeing the girl foam at the mouth, An Yin cried anxiously, "Don't be afraid, little sister, don't be afraid..." Tears involuntarily fell as she comforted the girl through sobs.
Soon, a curious crowd gathered, but perhaps fearing trouble, they took a glance and hurried away.
An Yin stood helplessly beside the girl, hesitating to hold her, yet afraid her actions might cause further harm.
The girl's seizure persisted, lips turning blue, her once bright eyes rolling back, looking terrifying...
An Yin immediately turned her head, shouting to the passing crowd, "Someone's injured here, who's the little girl's mother, who's the little girl's mother..."
