Overpowered Villain Returnee in the Apocalypse - System is for Losers-Chapter 23: Speedrun [Bonus Chapter]
Chapter 23: Speedrun [Bonus Chapter]
"Final-fucking-ly I am away from that guy!"
With a hammer in one hand, a cleaver, and a handgun strapped to his belt, the hero, Relafan complained sighed a sigh of grand relief as he made his way out of the bunker.
The elevator going up stopped.
A damned stench assaulted Relafan's nose, almost as if he had been hit square by a sucker punch from a damp sock rotting under a shady bed for three years straight.
Almost puking, Relafan placed a hand on his mouth and covered himself. This was still better than being stuck with that guy down there, at least he was free for now.
The man tightened his grip on the cleaver.
Vincent had told him that he had dropped the bodies wherever, so the meat-hungry zombies would likely be around.
He took a light breath and swung the door wide open, thinking what a drag it was to fight monsters all over again.
As soon as the gate pulled away.
"Graaa!"
"Huh?"
A monster screamed at him.
But there was no meat, no blood, no organs or veins like on a zombie.
Ok, there were a few traces of those things.
But the monster in front of him.
"S-skeleton? Undead?"
The skeleton screamed and tried to attack Relafan, and with a single, surprised, hesitating kick from the hero, it crashed into the walls and broke apart.
"The fuck?"
Relafan peered outside.
All over the place, through the dirty bloodied, and dusted windows and past the broken and shattered doors and walls.
Every single zombie had turned into a skeleton, most of them still having bits and pieces of meat and flesh stuck to them.
Relafan slammed the door shut behind him and walked away from the place. The stench only increased as the sight of blood sogging into the walls and the ground filled the space. Many intestines were also flung about and rotting with flies having raves over them.
The mold must have been like their crack.
As he peered out of the window, Relafan noticed the maggots and worts chomping on the flesh and loosening them up as if it was New years Eve. Crows and vultures had taken over the rest, the flesh around was just so much that even pigeons had started eating it.
The hero took a step back and started using the mana circulation.
He had learned it in the old world too and knew that it could help against diseases and boost immunity. Just imagining how many diseases would be fluttering around right now was enough to make him shiver with fear.
"Well. Training."
Maybe if he filled a bunch of skeletons it would help with muscle strength.
Getting away? He wasn't afraid of that. The Hero was a hero after all.
Still, he wanted to be as quick as he could.
So.
"Here. We. Go~"
The man raised the hammer up high, filled it with his magic, and slammed it on the walls of the building.
A crack spread, followed by a crumble, and the entire wall collapsed.
With every breath, the mana in the air came shuffling at him.
Alerted by the sounds, the skeletons all turned his way.
"Call a hundred more, you fuckers."
A grin plastered on his face. He was free of the demon, the hero could thrive.
"Let's speedrun."
