Chapter 336: Chapter 323: Lumeria Trip (Part 3)

Simon Forrester was slightly agitated when he heard, "What’s this about Thornton and Dean Thorne acknowledging each other? What nonsense are you talking about?"

He thought Sylvia Langley was making wild guesses and was worried she’d spill the beans to others, so he didn’t want to admit to Sienna Thornton and Quentin Thorne’s relationship just yet.

But Sylvia Langley laughed and said, "Don’t worry! I already know about this and haven’t told anyone else."

Only then did Simon Forrester’s tone soften, "Candy doesn’t know about this yet, don’t mention it in front of her."

"Got it!" Sylvia Langley patted his shoulder, "Hurry over, leaving Thornton alone like that makes her uncomfortable."

Simon Forrester was still a bit worried but considering they were staying with Sylvia Langley for another two nights before they were off to The South of France, and that the next time he’d see Sylvia Langley, Sienna Thornton would likely have acknowledged Quentin Thorne, he decided not to say anything further.

He took a few steps but suddenly turned around and, looking at Sylvia Langley, gave a rare smile, "You seem more human now."

Sylvia Langley was furious and chased to hit his shoulder, "You rascal! Are you saying I wasn’t human before?"

"You used to like going against people, crying no matter the occasion! Especially when you opposed Candy, even arguing with Grandpa. Can you say you were being human then?"

Sylvia Langley hit him hard a few times and then stopped, saying nothing for a while.

Simon Forrester thought she was about to cry again, so he approached and stayed with her silently.

After a quiet moment, she just smiled relievedly, "Your dad and I were almost divorcing, what’s to despair over anymore?"

For some reason, at that moment, Simon Forrester felt a bit emotional and nostalgic.

After all, Sylvia Langley was his mother. Although she had left him with his grandfather since childhood, seeing him only a few times a year, the blood ties were indelible.

He stepped forward, patted Sylvia Langley on the back, and hugged her, comforting, "Even if you divorce my dad, it doesn’t matter, you still have Candy and me. No matter what, we’ll both be filial to you, treat you well."

Sylvia Langley sighed deeply, "Thornton is a good girl. I was so awful to her before. The night your dad hit me, I stayed at your place, and she did my laundry and gave me her pajamas. That night, I knew she was genuinely a good girl without a bad bone. You should treat her well, don’t let her down, okay?"

Simon Forrester laughed, "I want to give her my heart and soul, how could I let her down?"

When he said this, he thought about the things Sienna Thornton said, crying when he woke up injured, and even now he still found it profoundly moving.

This must be what love feels like.

.

Simon Forrester and Sylvia Langley returned to the office. Sienna Thornton had already finalized the designs for four outfits with the designer and was in a nearby lounge, having her measurements taken by the designer’s female assistant.

The designer said the outfits would be ready before the Chinese New Year. Then Sylvia Langley could take them back to the country for Sienna Thornton to try on, and if there were any size issues, they could be sent back to Lumeria for alterations.

At noon, they had lunch with the designer, and in the afternoon, they were scheduled to meet with a designer specializing in traditional Chinese wedding attire.

The Chinese attire is something the bride wears at her parents’ home on the wedding day and only changes after being received by the groom’s family and completing the ceremony.

This set is also considered a wedding dress, which traditionally the bride’s mother should prepare. But since Melinda Linton wasn’t familiar with these rituals, and Sienna Thornton didn’t want Melinda, who wasn’t in good health, to be troubled by these affairs, it was entrusted to Sylvia Langley to handle.

When Sylvia Langley previously asked if the wedding attire should be prepared by her family, Sienna, though apprehensive about Langley’s reaction, was pleasantly surprised when Langley agreed without hesitation, mentioning she had a friend who was a designer of Chinese attire.

The Chinese attire designer appeared older than Sylvia Langley, with gray hair, speaking Mandarin with a heavy Cantonese accent, which immediately told Sienna Thornton she was from Azure Harbor.

She communicated with the designer in Cantonese, who happily asked, "Are you from Guangdong?"

Before Sienna could answer, Sylvia Langley, sitting beside, laughed, "My daughter-in-law used to study at university in Azure Harbor."

Designer: "Oh? Which university in Azure Harbor?"

Sylvia Langley: "University of Azure Harbor, with degrees in Law and Economics." Her words were full of pride.

Designer: "The University of Azure Harbor is the best university in Azure Harbor! It’s highly ranked among Aethel’s universities!"

The elderly lady, energized by speaking with Sienna in their hometown dialect, chatted extensively about their hometown.

Sienna Thornton, with her sweetness and gentle speech, spent the entire afternoon chatting with the lady.

The elderly lady was very impressed by her, continually praising Sylvia Langley for being blessed, having a beautiful, gentle, and highly accomplished daughter-in-law.

Sylvia Langley, inherently concerned with face, was even more affectionate towards Sienna after such compliments from a friend.

Looking at the tall, slender, and sweet Sienna Thornton, she was extremely satisfied.

With 30 years in the fashion industry, having seen numerous models and caressed countless figures, someone like Sienna Thornton, with such a perfect face and figure, was exceptionally rare.

Sienna Thornton was the type blessed by the heavens, such that even if she weren’t a lawyer and had a mediocre career, finding a wealthy spouse would be straightforward.

But then again, for Sienna to do poorly academically or career-wise would be unlikely, considering she’s from the Thorne Family.

Looking at Sienna Thornton, Sylvia Langley couldn’t help but think of Quentin Thorne and Ian Grant’s daughter, Mina Thorne.

One must admit, Ian Grant really lowers the Thorne family’s superb genes. After seeing Sienna Thornton, looking at the second Ms. Mina Thorne, who was born with a silver spoon, she seems quite ordinary.

"Sylvia? Sylvia?" called the attire designer twice.

Sylvia Langley snapped back, "Is it almost done?"

Simon Forrester: "Everything’s ready. We’re going out tonight, so we won’t have dinner with you."

Saying that, he stood up, put on his jacket, after wearing his own, picked up Sienna Thornton’s coat from the sofa, helped her put it on, and wrapped his arm around her, ready to leave.

Sylvia Langley helplessly remarked, "You rascal, coming all this way, can’t spend a bit more time with me!"

The designer, while packing her tools, chuckled, "That’s how young people are these days, let them be!"

.

By the time they left Sylvia Langley’s office, it was already evening, the temperature had dropped significantly, a few degrees lower than during the day, probably only two or three degrees left.

As soon as Sienna Thornton stepped out, she exclaimed how cold it was, "It’s freezing... so cold, where are we going... let’s go back and turn on the heater instead!"

Simon Forrester held her hand, blowing warm air, rubbing it to warm it up, then, from who knows where, produced a pink glove and put it on her hand.

He hugged her, kissed her cold, red nose, "Your piggy nose is all red."

Feeling the chill and still being teased, Sienna Thornton angrily slipped her hand inside his coat, pinching the side muscle on his waist, "I’m a pig? Then you’re a pig’s husband!"

"A pig’s husband? Well, okay then..."
