Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike-Chapter 335 - 322: Lumeria Trip (Part 2)
Reaching the second floor, Simon Forrester pulled Sienna Thornton straight into the innermost bedroom.
Seeing how familiar he was, Sienna laughed, "Did you often come to Franland before?"
"I used to come often when I was in Britione, but not so much after returning home." Simon said, locking the door, "Which suitcase is my pajamas in?"
"The gray one."
"What about yours?"
"They’re with yours."
Simon fished out both their pajamas and towels, ignoring Sienna’s protests, and half-pushing, half-pulling her into the bathroom.
An hour later, Sienna rolled onto the bed, face buried in the pillow, unwilling to move.
Simon stood in front of the vanity, drying his hair, admiring his handsome reflection, and after drying his hair, applied moisturizer with a satisfied smile on his lips.
He lay down on the bed, swinging a long leg over Sienna’s waist, and pulled the blanket over both of them.
Sienna kept her face buried in the pillow, her voice muffled, "Get away from me!"
Seeing her unhappy, he moved closer, not to comfort or coax her, but to whisper in her ear, "Now do you understand what ’eating sweets’ means?"
She raised her hand to push him away, "Aren’t you afraid that eating too sweet will affect your health!"
He laughed, using hands and feet to scoop her into his arms, and after a while, sighed, "Can’t help it, getting old and have a sweet tooth."
Hearing this, Sienna instantly bristled like a little cat, "Others age and become restrained, you, the older you get, the more perverse!"
After speaking, she buried her face in the blanket, pretending to cry.
He moved closer to soothe her, "Why are you crying for no reason?"
She accused, "Others marry young studs, I marry an old pervert... How can I not cry?"
He burst into laughter, "With age comes tender care." After saying this, he placed his hands under her armpits and pulled her into his embrace.
The two lay quietly in bed, watching the Parisian sunset outside the window.
"I hope to live to eighty-five so we can have more than fifty years together," Simon said.
"You certainly can, you’re so health-conscious, you’ve even quit smoking, easily live into your nineties. Besides, longevity has something to do with genetics. Look at how long your ancestors lived."
Simon recalled his great-grandfather who lived to nearly a hundred, and within five generations of the Forrester Family, there hadn’t been any major illness, so he should be long-lived.
While thinking, Sienna suddenly giggled mischievously, "But it’s no use if you live to eighty-five, I have to live to eighty too, to grow old with you. What if I’m gone at fifty, you’ll have to spend thirty more years alone."
"Why would I spend thirty years alone? Can’t I remarry?"
Sienna: "...If it weren’t for being at your mom’s today, I’d teach you a lesson on manners and words in a second."
Noticing her tone was upset, Simon awkwardly chuckled a few times and hugged her tight, saying, "I was kidding, if you’re gone at fifty, I’d follow you."
"If I trust you, there must be a ghost."
"There’s already ghosts in this world! Just trust me!"
Seeing him spouting nonsense, Sienna lazily ignored him, breaking free from his arms and rolling to her spot.
He grinned, moved closer, kissed her cheek and asked, "Don’t believe there are ghosts?"
"Well then, tell me, what kind of ghosts are there?"
With one hand on the bed, he leaned over to look at her, another hand pinching her chubby cheek, shaking it left and right, "There’s clever ghosts like you! So adorable!" 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Sienna: "...And then there’s silly ghosts like you!"
.
Simon behaved silly in private, but once in front of a third person, he immediately turned serious.
The next morning, they followed Sylvia Langley to the Sylian Group located in The Eighth District in the northwest of Lumeria. The Group is located on the Champs-Élysées, with many world-renowned luxury brand headquarters nearby.
Sylvia Langley’s women’s clothing brand was something Sienna learned about after meeting Simon. Despite its headquarters being in Paris and frequently holding various shows, perhaps due to Sylvia being Aethel, her taste and preference leaned more Aethel, so the brand mainly sold to Aethel, and its fame in Europle was average.
But the benefit of wealth is that even if the brand’s fame in its home country is average, its headquarters building is grand and the resources are substantial, leading to very close ties with the fashion world.
As it is now, one of the world’s top wedding dress designers was sitting in Sylvia’s office, having tea and chatting about the next season’s trends.
Seeing them chatting, their eyes frequently glancing her way, Sienna, sitting with Simon picking wedding dress fabrics, quietly asked, "Are they talking about me?"
Not understanding French, Sienna couldn’t grasp what Sylvia and the designer were discussing.
Simon leaned to her ear, whispering, "The designer asked my mom why not let V design your wedding dress. My mom said too many people are wearing V’s wedding dresses now, and many bridal shops use V’s dresses as treasures of the store. She doesn’t want you to wear a wedding dress similar to others. As for the designer now, although not as famous as V in Aethel, many daughters of famous Europle politicians choose his wedding dresses, like the former President of the M. Republic’s daughter..."
Sienna took a look at Sylvia and whispered, "So what do you think your mom means?"
Simon placed a hand on the back of her neck, pressing slightly forward, bringing her closer to him, "What she means I don’t know, but I know everything she does is to give you the best. You deserve the best."
These words made Sienna happy, instantly feeling much fondness for Sylvia.
.
After Sylvia finished chatting with the designer, the designer came over to discuss wedding dress styles with Sienna.
Sienna intended for one wedding dress to wear at the daytime Western ceremony, and one toast dress for the evening banquet, totaling two outfits.
Sylvia, overhearing, suggested, "There will be one wedding and two banquets, two for the Forrester Family and one for your family, so it’s best to have two wedding dresses and two toast dresses."
Sienna smiled, "My family’s in Wrayhaven, too far. We won’t be going back for a banquet."
Sylvia: "It’s not Wrayhaven..."
She stopped mid-sentence, suddenly realizing Sienna didn’t know her biological father was Quentin Thorne, quickly halting the topic. But it was too late, as Simon was already looking over suspiciously, signaling her to speak outside.
She patted Sienna’s shoulder, speaking in Mandarin, "Good girl, just make four outfits. Tell the designer what you want, he knows English."
Finished speaking, she called Simon, and the mother and son stepped out together.
Closing the meeting room door next door, Simon went straight to the point, "What did you mean earlier about Candy’s family banquet?"
Sylvia responded with a question instead, "Do you plan to have Hilary and Dean Thorne reunite before having the wedding?"
