Stars In His Eyes-Chapter 1784: Their Happy Times 16
Yes, the second and third are the nicknames of the two kids, initially called by Ding Jinshi’s father. Over time, everyone followed suit, and now even the two kids are accustomed to it themselves.
The two little monkeys aren’t really afraid of their gentle mother, but they do fear their father, who gets stern when angry. When called out, the two brothers exchanged looks, their eyes darted around, and then they crawled out from behind the sofa and happily went upstairs.
"Coming to apologize?" Ding Jinshi folded her arms, looking at the second and third. She wondered if these two kids had exceptional intelligence, being young yet so cunning and sly.
"Sister, don’t be mad, we won’t tear up dolls anymore!" The brothers were still young, so their speech was somewhat unclear. Worried their sister didn’t understand, they apologized with gestures.
"You won’t tear dolls but other toys of your sister?" After all, they are his sons, so how could Ding Long not know? So he followed his sons upstairs and immediately knew what they were thinking upon hearing them.
"We won’t tear anything." With their little scheme exposed, the second son glanced back nervously at his tall father, finally straightening his attitude, probably out of fear of being punished by standing.
The little girl, after all, still had a temper, pouting and silent, clearly still angry.
"Baobei, it’s okay, don’t be mad. Daddy will take you to find little uncle." Ding Long picked up his daughter, gave her a kiss, then looked at Ding Jinshi and said, "Aren’t you planning to go out to meet Chen Shan? Just go directly to Dad’s this afternoon. I’ll take Baobei to play a bit and discuss some things with Dad."
Ding Jinshi nodded, then got everything the three kids needed to take out prepared and put it all in the backpack. Watching Ding Long effortlessly carry the very feminine backpack, Ding Jinshi burst into laughter, "Super Dad!"
Ding Long secured the backpack, then carried the third child in front, held the second in his right arm, and took his daughter’s hand with his left. Looking at Ding Jinshi, he smiled, "Give me a kiss." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Ding Jinshi stood on her tiptoes, gently kissed Ding Long on the lips, her eyes filled with deep affection, then kissed her two sons and daughter on their faces before stepping back to watch the four of them head out the door.
Ding Long taking care of three young children alone didn’t worry Ding Jinshi at all. The driver at home was behind the wheel, and Ding Long could completely manage to take good care of their three children.
Once at his father-in-law’s house, Ding Long left the three children with his mother-in-law and relatively young brother-in-law, then turned to go to the study to find his father-in-law.
"Are you saying you’re planning to immigrate to M Country?" Ding Long’s words left Ding Father a bit taken aback.
Ding Long nodded, "Yes."
"Why so suddenly? Isn’t it good in the capital? Or are you worried about those who bad-mouth you behind your back?" Ding Father asked.
"No," Ding Long explained, "About a month ago, Jinshi’s mentor in M Country called Jinshi, mostly because he learned about Jinshi resigning here due to having more children, then invited Jinshi to further her study in M Country and work at his institute. I could tell Jinshi was a bit tempted. Jinshi is the kind who can’t stay idle and loves doing this work. However, she didn’t agree with her mentor, and I understand it’s because of the kids and me that she refused."
After a pause, Ding Long continued, "I’ve already arranged things at my company; it can operate just fine without me. If we immigrate to M Country, at most I’d just bring the company there. Over there, Jinshi can balance family and work, and it’s not a bad idea for the kids to get an education in M Country. They can come back for university or choose whether to stay there when they grow up."
