Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike-Chapter 242 - 239: Stay Away from Men
"The Tuner" is an Indorian film, a remake of a short film with the same name from Franland. It tells the story of a piano tuner named Akash who pretends to be blind and unexpectedly becomes a "witness" to a murder, after which he experiences a series of unexpected events.
The film is full of twists and surprises. Simon Forrester watched it with seriousness and focus, but from time to time, he turned his head to look at Sienna Thornton, sitting on his right.
At first, Sienna was quite alert watching the film, but midway through, her body began to appear calm and still. Simon turned his head to see that she was actually resting her chin and sleeping.
The theater had a bit of air conditioning on to purify and circulate the air. Sienna was wearing a thin suit, and when Simon held her hand, it felt icy cold. He quickly took off his own jacket and draped it over her, moving closer so her head could rest on his shoulder, allowing her to sleep more comfortably.
It wasn’t until the movie ended that Sienna woke up, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, which was wet.
Drooled...
She felt sore all over and stretched, her voice still sleepy, "How long did I sleep?"
Simon found some wet wipes in her bag, cleaned the corner of her mouth, and smiled, "I guess for about half the movie."
"Ah, it’s strange, I wasn’t that busy today, but why do I feel so tired?"
Simon took her bag, held her hand as they left the theater, and asked in a low voice, "Are you catching a cold?"
Sienna swallowed a bit, "Shouldn’t be, my throat feels fine, doesn’t hurt. Whenever I catch a cold, it starts with my throat."
"Then," Simon’s expression suddenly changed, lowering his voice even further, "is your period late?"
Sienna thought for a moment, still a bit muddled, "It’s usually at the end of the month..."
With that, she suddenly perked up, her face going pale, looking fearfully at Simon, "Oh no! Someone’s going to die!"
Simon’s face also changed, feeling a bit complicated. He forced himself to calm down, "We’ll go to the pharmacy in a bit."

Back home, Sienna took the robe and test strip and headed straight for the bathroom.
Simon wanted to follow her in, but she wouldn’t let him.
He then anxiously paced outside, worrying that if Sienna was indeed pregnant, they would need to register their marriage and plan the wedding before she started showing.
Time was tight.
But since Sienna hadn’t yet reunited with her biological father, getting married like this could be a lifelong regret for her. Surely, she hoped her father could walk her down the aisle, bless her, and personally entrust her to her beloved...
But that damn old Quentin Thorne!
Thinking about how Quentin was delaying his chance to marry, Simon felt frustrated yet helpless.
Moreover, he hadn’t prepared a house for the wedding or bought an engagement ring, nor had he thought of a name for the child.
Thinking of all this made Simon feel short on time, so he rushed to the study, opened his computer, and prepared to stay up late finishing the half-done floor plan of the villa.
After opening the software, he suddenly opened a search engine, searching for "tips on naming girls". He was so flustered he didn’t even notice Sienna had already finished her shower and walked into the study. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
It was Sienna who said "I’m done testing" first, before he shifted his gaze from the computer screen.
When he looked at her, he first observed her expression, but her face looked calm, showing no emotion. He quickly got up to meet her, asking, "Are you pregnant?"
"Do you want me to be?"
Simon brought her to sit on the sofa, facing her, holding her hands earnestly, "That depends on whether you’re happy being pregnant."
"Forget about whether I’m happy, just tell me, do you want me to be pregnant?"
Simon didn’t hesitate, "Of course I do!" He said, leaning in to hug her and gently kissing her cheek a few times, "At this moment, I finally understand the meaning of the phrase ’fruit of love’."
His heart settled down.
Since Sienna asked that, it surely meant she was pregnant.
He instinctively held her tighter, but suddenly remembered not to squeeze a pregnant woman. He quickly loosened his grip a bit, about to ask if she felt uncomfortable when she suddenly said, in a low yet vaguely excited voice, "I’m not pregnant! Sorry to disappoint you."
His enthusiasm plunged to the bottom instantly, leaving him speechless for a moment, but knowing she was happy about not being pregnant, his mood improved as well.
He hugged her, reassuring her, "There’s nothing for you to be sorry about. It’s me who should apologize, for not being careful enough usually and worrying you."
Sienna laughed, fiddling with the collar of his shirt, "Hehe, let me tell you, while waiting for the result in the bathroom, I was really terrified! I’ve never been so scared before, my whole body was trembling, and my thoughts were a mess!"
He lightly patted her back, sighing, "It’s okay now, don’t be afraid."
After saying this, he thought about her delayed period and became worried again, nervously saying, "But you’ve been late for so many days. Let’s go to the hospital for a check-up tomorrow!"
A guy who’s lonely from birth really doesn’t know that a girl’s period isn’t always punctual; sometimes it’s early or late, which is normal.
Sienna laughed at him for being silly in her heart but was also moved because he was already so considerate and doing a great job!
Explaining this seemed really stupid, but Sienna patiently explained to Simon those special things about girls.
After listening, Simon suddenly realized, "Starting today, you can’t stay up late anymore! I’ll supervise you every night! You need a regular routine to stay healthy!"
Sienna looked at him, shaking her head, "And who is it that causes me to stay up all night and have an irregular routine, making me unhealthy in the end? No wonder the world’s longest-lived woman said, the secret to longevity is — stay away from men!"

As April arrived, Cognitas Law still hadn’t received any cases. With nothing much to do, Sienna Thornton went ahead and prepared the financial report for March herself.
During the routine morning meeting, she distributed the financial reports to Rhonda Wagner and Aurora Buckley. Aurora, seeing the balance of accounts receivable, which was just the annual service fee from The Forresters, asked, "Have the invoices for The Forresters been sent over?"
Sienna nodded, "I sent them over half a month ago. The payment term for The Forresters is six months."
Aurora: "..."
Rhonda: "..."
Aurora couldn’t help but complain, "It’s terrifying that such a large company as The Forresters has a payment term of six months. If I had known back then, I should have negotiated the term from six months to three months during the signing."
Rhonda gave a helpless smile, "No one knew that after being open for over a month and still no business."
Aurora was also distressed, "If this continues, we’ll not only exhaust our resources, but more importantly, we can’t just keep going like this! You two are better off, one busy with pro bono cases and the other with The Forresters, at least staying professional, but I..."
