Oops Alpha, Wrong Luna-Chapter 15
Chapter 15: Chapter 15
Kael’s POV.
I woke to the soft light of dawn creeping through the curtains, my eyes landing on Aria, my Luna, sleeping peacefully beside me.
Her silver hair spilled across the pillow, her face calm, her breath steady. She looked small, fragile, curled up in the sheets, and my chest tightened.
She was mine—my mate, my everything—even if she was hiding behind Celeste’s name. But then the image hit me like a blade: Alpha Nicholas last night, his arm around her waist, his smirk daring me to snap.
Rage burned through my veins, hot and sharp, my wolf Zeus growling low, ready to tear something apart.
I clenched my fists, my knuckles white, forcing the anger down. Not here. Not now.
I slid out of bed, careful not to wake her, my feet cold on the wooden floor. I moved quietly, grabbing my clothes—a simple black shirt and pants, the silver trim catching the faint light.
I dressed fast, my mind still spinning with Nicholas’s smug face, his hands on my mate. My jaw tightened, my wolf pacing, urging me to act.
I glanced back at Aria, still asleep, her lips parted slightly. She didn’t need to see me like this, burning with jealousy and rage. I just needed to focus, to get through this day.
A sharp knock at the door jolted me, my heart lurching. I rushed to it, my boots half-on, and cracked it open, keeping my voice low.
Brian stood there, his brown eyes apologetic, his hands raised like he knew he’d messed up.
"Alpha," he whispered, glancing past me. "Sorry, I didn’t mean to—"
I frowned, stepping into the hall and pulling the door shut behind me, quiet so Aria wouldn’t wake.
"What is it?" I asked, my voice sharp, my patience thin.
Brian shifted, his face uneasy. "It’s time to discuss the collaboration with the Fang Pack. Alpha Nicholas and his elders are waiting in the council hall."
I nodded, my jaw tight. "I know my job, Brian. I’ll be out soon." My tone was harsher than I meant, and Brian flinched, his mouth opening to apologize again.
I shut the door before he could, the click loud in the quiet hall. I turned back to Aria, checking her one last time.
She was still asleep, her chest rising and falling, a small smile on her lips. My heart softened, a warmth cutting through the anger.
She was safe, here, with me. I grabbed my jacket, slung it over my shoulder, and left, my boots heavy on the floor.
Brian was waiting outside, his face still apologetic. "Alpha, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to—"
"Just lead the way," I cut him off, my voice cold. I didn’t have time for apologies. My mind was on Nicholas, on the meeting, on keeping my wolf in check.
Brian nodded, turning to guide me through the Fang Pack’s halls. The air was thick with the scent of pine and smoke, the stone walls lined with torches that flickered in the morning light.
Warriors stood at every corner, their eyes sharp, watching us. I kept my face blank, my steps steady, but inside, Zeus was restless, his growls echoing in my head.
We reached the council hall, its heavy doors carved with snarling wolves. Brian pushed them open, and I stepped inside, my eyes locking on Alpha Nicholas immediately.
He sat at the head of a long table, his silver-streaked hair neat, his dark eyes glinting with that same sinister grin from last night.
My fingers clenched by my side, my nails biting into my palms. The elders around him—old wolves with stern faces—watched me, their gazes heavy, judging.
I pushed the rage down, forcing my face to stay calm, and took my seat across from Nicholas. Brian stood behind me, silent but alert.
The meeting started, the elders droning about trade routes, borders, and the safety of the Fang Pack.
I listened, nodding when needed, agreeing to their terms—shared resources, open borders in times of peace.
My pack was strong, stronger than theirs, and I could afford to be generous. But when it was my turn, I leaned forward, my voice steady.
"Shadow Claw will offer refuge to your pack in times of trouble," I said. "Your wolves can shelter with us, no questions asked. But in return, I want our warriors to merge during rogue attacks. One force, fighting together."
The room went quiet, the air heavy. Nicholas’s grin faded, his eyes narrowing. The elders shifted, murmuring to each other, their faces hard.
One of them, a grizzled wolf with a scar across his cheek, spoke first. "We can’t agree to that, Alpha Kael. Our warriors protect our own. We won’t risk them for your battles."
I snorted, confusion mixing with anger. "What do you mean?" I asked, my voice sharp. "I’m offering to risk my pack to keep yours safe. You’re saying you can’t do the same?"
Nicholas leaned back, his smirk returning, cold and smug. "We can’t risk our warriors for the protection our pack needs, Kael," he said, his voice smooth, like he was explaining something to a child. "That’s your job."
My blood boiled, Zeus roaring in my chest. "What?" I snapped, my voice rising.
"You can’t what? I’m willing to put my pack on the line for yours, and you won’t meet me halfway?" My hand slammed the table, the wood creaking under the force, the sound echoing in the hall.
The elders flinched, but Nicholas didn’t. He just stared, his eyes glinting with something dark, like he was enjoying this.
He stood, straightening his robe with a slow, deliberate motion. "The meeting’s over," he said, his voice cold.
"The Shadow Claw Pack will never get anything right. Including their Luna." He turned to leave, his words hanging in the air like a slap.
My vision went red, my wolf clawing at my control. He’d gone too far. I shot to my feet, my growl shaking the room. "Nicholas!" I roared, my voice raw with fury.
"Say what you want about me, but keep my Luna out of your stinking mouth. I’m not the reason you couldn’t keep your filthy eyes off her. Don’t lust over what’s not yours. And the deal? It’s off."
Nicholas stopped, his back to me, his shoulders stiff. The elders froze, their eyes wide, darting between us. I didn’t wait for his response.
I turned and stormed out, slamming the door so hard it rattled the frame. My blood pounded, my fists clenched, my wolf howling for a fight.
Nicholas had crossed a line, dragging Aria into his taunts, his smirk burning into my mind. I’d protect her, no matter what. No one would touch her, not him, not anyone.
Outside, Brian was waiting, his face tense, his eyes searching mine. "Alpha, what happened? I heard your voice—"
I cut him off, my voice sharp. "Not now, Brian." I didn’t want to talk, didn’t want to explain the fire in my chest, the way Nicholas’s words had cut deeper than they should.
Brian opened his mouth, hesitant, but pushed forward. "Alpha, I just—"
"Enough," I snapped, my patience gone. fгeewebnovёl.com
I took a step, ready to head back to Aria, to make sure she was safe, when a voice called out from behind me, soft but firm.
"Brother."
I froze, my heart lurching, my wolf going still. The voice was familiar, too familiar, cutting through the rage like a blade.
