OMG!!! My Crippled Husband is a Hot, Powerful CEO-Chapter 212 – I Would Be Your Teddy Bear
Chapter 212: Chapter 212 – I Would Be Your Teddy Bear
Aiden knew about the lingering feelings Logan had for Violet and decided to clear the air to avoid any future misunderstandings.
"Logan, I know about your previous obsession with Violet, and I don’t know if you have gotten over her, but I want you to know that I’m in love with her," Aiden said honestly. The room fell silent as Logan stared at him with a sorrowful expression.
It was all his fault that he lost Joanna and also Violet. Fiona got what she deserved by dying on the island during the crossfire, but Logan knew he was going to live the rest of his life in regret.
This was the time true love would have paid off, but thinking through it, he never really loved anyone, and any woman he claimed to love was always for personal gain.
Beginning with Violet, it was because she came from a wealthy family background, and then Joan, whose value he realized after Grandpa insisted on Alex marrying her.
Now, not only was he in a wheelchair, but also only his family stood by him, not because no woman loved him, but due to his greed.
"Honestly, I haven’t gotten over her, but thinking carefully, everything I ever did or everyone I ever loved was due to personal gain. I don’t deserve her, and I hope you give her all the happiness in the world," Logan said honestly. The atmosphere turned emotional.
Violet went to his side and embraced him. She had no regrets leaving Logan and was glad she met someone like Aiden, who treasured her and was a one-woman man.
"I hope this change in you is permanent," she said to him, his teary eyes meeting her emotional ones. If nothing at all, Logan had a reason to live right, as well as to make things right.
"Dion is back, and I plan to be a responsible elder brother. Maybe one day, I would truly fall in love," he replied. Violet smiled, satisfied with the answer as Aiden went down on one knee.
"So, are you..." about to say something, he rose to his feet awkwardly, earning confused murmurs from the guests present, but as if that did not derail him from his purpose, he walked over to Alex and removed his phone from his breast pocket.
Typing a few things on his phone, Alex received an alert and checked.
"You are resigning?" His voice was low so only Joanna and Aiden heard it.
It was expected and also disheartening. "It’s the rule. I wish for a family and always have to be there for them," Aiden explained. Alex nodded in understanding.
Working with Salvadore’s men was a sacrifice. Most of the people who worked there did it for their families. They would sacrifice their lives for their families to enjoy the benefit of living comfortable lives without knowing where the source came from.
Aiden never intended to resign until he fell in love. Now, his perspective on things had changed, and he sought the time to spend with his family.
Alex sighed after careful thought and embraced his best friend. "You made the right decision."
Before Aiden lowered himself, Violet gave her response. "Yes, I will marry you." The question had not been asked, but she already saw the ring and couldn’t wait any longer.
Everyone laughed as Aiden still went down on one knee before slipping the ring onto her finger.
"I love you, Violet. Thank you for accepting me." During their break-up times, he never stopped thinking about her, making him understand and accept that she was the only woman he wanted to marry.
"I love you too, Aiden," Violet responded, before their lips met. Three weeks later, Violet was walking down the aisle in a gown designed by herself.
It was her first time designing anything, but she felt a need for a deeper connection with her wedding gown because of all the men she met in her life.
This was the first time she was going to take this journey, knowing she was never going to go back.
"You look stunning," Joan said to her. Violet smiled. "I can barely tell you are pregnant. Somehow, you still managed to steal the day."
Joanna laughed as she knew she looked good in the dress Alex picked for her. Sometimes, she wanted to advise him to choose a career in fashion since he was marvelous at picking the perfect outfits.
Violet’s mother came to fix the tiara on her head. Her father was the proudest, and her brother insisted on being her man of honor. Due to Joanna’s condition, she wasn’t sure she would be able to stand for long, so she agreed.
Violet’s father walked her down the aisle as Alex and Aiden waited at the altar. The two gentlemen wore identical cream suits, looking their best.
Their friendship had been tested and tried, and now that Aiden had resigned from Salvatore’s men, it created a safer environment for Violet and their future children.
"You made a good choice, Aiden," Alex said. Aiden smiled. "I know." Violet looked dazzling in her wedding dress, looking like a star.
Nancy and Dario were in charge of security, though not physically present. Due to their families, Alex had handed over the headship of Salvadore’s men to Dario.
Therefore, he could act on most things without consulting Alex first. Alex would only act as a consultant, so Dario and Nancy were the CEO and COO of Salvatore’s men, ensuring the security of all and sundry.
Travis, Violet’s brother slash her man of honor, had a message for Aiden. "You are now my brother for life." He never thought his sister would settle with any man due to her way with men, but it turned out there was a man for every woman.
Ever since Violet met Aiden, she changed for the better, proving he was the best man for her.
Not only Aiden but Alex was equally pleased. They thought Travis was going to issue a warning like most brothers-in-law do, but it turned out it wasn’t the case.
"Of course, brothers for life," Aiden agreed as the two embraced each other.
Violet’s father was the most surprised of all, as Violet’s marriage had constantly been on his mind. She was getting married at twenty-seven, which wasn’t bad, and her best friend married at twenty-six.
"I hereby present my daughter to you, though knowing how slimy she could be, but if she has decided to take this path with you, I know she would never go back on her word," Violet’s father said as he joined Violet’s hand to that of Aiden.
Aiden was grateful to have his blessing and spoke heartily. "Sir, I promise that for as long as I live, your daughter would be treated like the queen she is," he promised. Violet’s father smiled. "Just call me dad."
With families uniting, the vows were exchanged as the bride and groom had their first kiss after being pronounced husband and wife.
Circumstances brought them together, but love would always keep them together. Joanna and Alex returned home after the event as Dion returned to live with Logan.
Thanks to her, Logan looked better at the wedding, but Alex could not keep his hands off his wife, especially when her libido had strangely spiked.
He was sure that even if he hadn’t initiated it, she would have asked for it. freёwebnoѵel.com
"You were the most beautiful woman at the wedding and even in the world," Alex said. Joanna did not believe him.
"Because I’m your wife, I would always be the most beautiful woman in your eyes, just as you are the most attractive man in my eyes."
Alex gathered she didn’t believe him by how literally she took everything he said, but that didn’t stop him from making endless love to her.
"You have a cute bump, but I’m waiting to see how big it would get with time," he kissed her bump and said, feeling a slight movement of their triplets. To him, this was an adventure he didn’t want to miss any part of.
However, Joanna was concerned that perhaps after her bump grows large, he might not see her as attractive as before.
"I heard it’s going to be really big," she said teasingly, adding. "I hope you won’t run away when the time comes."
Alex sighed, not taking her words seriously but responded. "For as long as you allow me to make love to you every day, I would be your teddy bear."
Joanna laughed as their lips met again. Alex was ready for another round. A month passed, and Joanna was already in her second trimester, feeling energetic, though her bump had become visible, so Alex arranged for a family trip.
Logan could move his hands and legs but was still not able to stand on his feet yet. Alex invited him, Dion, Grandpa, and Violet on a trip with him, and Joan after Violet and Aiden’s honeymoon. Arriving at the orphanage, it became an emotional moment.
