No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 627 - 625 Settle Scores with Her [2 Updates]
Although she knows that threatening Christopher Scott like this is very shameless, she simply likes Christopher Scott, just wants to be with him, and can’t help herself from becoming a bad person. She just wants Christopher to accompany her back.
Actually, Sophia Bennett doesn’t have any bad intentions; she just likes to mess around.
Seeing Sophia bring up this matter, Christopher Scott was speechless. He couldn’t find words to counter her. Strictly speaking, his life was saved by Sophia Bennett.
Christopher was put in a difficult position, something he hadn’t experienced outside of things regarding Seven Murray.
Sophia could see Christopher furrowing his brows, silent, and she felt guilty. She knew what she was doing was wrong, but she just couldn’t control herself. As long as Christopher was single, she didn’t want to give up.
If one day Christopher emerges from Seven Murray’s shadow, begins a new life, and likes another girl, Sophia would have no choice but to surrender.
However, Christopher was undeniably in a transitional phase right now, so she wouldn’t give up even if it kills her.
But, she fears that Christopher would hate her.
So, she took a deep breath and carefully explained, "Christopher, I know threatening you like this is despicable and annoying; I don’t want to do this, but I just like you so much, incurably so. I’ve never felt this way before."
"So, even though it might make me seem bad, I still want to do it. I want to interact with you more, let you know more about me. Maybe one day, you’ll find out that I’m actually quite likable, and you’ll quite like me."
"I know this makes you unhappy. I’m sorry."
"But, I promise you, if you find a girl you love and plan to marry her in the future, I will definitely give up on you, provided I still like you at that time."
Feeling afraid that Christopher would hate her, Sophia humbly explained to him, apologized, and also stated her bottom line.
Listening to Sophia’s confession, Christopher was involuntarily stunned. Well! He admitted, Sophia was annoying yet quite self-aware, knowing that what she was doing wasn’t likable.
Regarding her actions, Sophia kept a tally in her mind about what’s good and what’s bad, but she has been spoiled since childhood, so she tends to do whatever she wants and can’t control herself.
Sophia, with wide eyes, stared intently at Christopher, and Christopher stared straight back at her.
When their eyes met, Christopher asked with great doubt, "Do you mean what you said? If I meet someone I can marry, you won’t bother me anymore?"
Sophia heard Christopher’s questioning and nodded vigorously, saying, "Uh-huh, I mean it!"
She then added, "Christopher, I’ve always meant what I said, but don’t marry some random woman just to get rid of me. That would be so pointless, it’s better to just marry me."
"..." Christopher was stunned by Sophia’s logic; he initially thought this girl was not very bright, but she could set a trap for him.
Sophia spoke with great righteousness, but in the end, she was just telling Christopher that since Seven is going to marry someone else, he might as well marry her.
For a moment, Christopher couldn’t find the words to counter Sophia. Even so, he didn’t develop any good feelings for her nor changed his attitude towards her because of her few statements.
He thought for a moment and was too lazy to discuss these things with Sophia. Whether it was his marriage or his feelings, it had nothing to do with Sophia, and he had no need to discuss it with her.
However, to repay the favor Sophia did for him, to clear things between them, Christopher eventually compromised, letting out a long sigh, "Okay, I promise to accompany you to the family dinner tomorrow. And don’t bring up the night or the matter of blocking the drink anymore; after all, those things were done willingly by you, not at my request."
"I’m repaying your favor, just to show I’m a decent person. But this is the only decent thing I’ll do for you; in the future, if you act up in front of me, I won’t show you any mercy, even though Maya is your sister."
Although Christopher agreed to her request, he also threw a bunch of warning words at Sophia Bennett, as her thick skin forced him to stay vigilant.
Everyone always advised him to treat Sophia Bennett as unimportant, to completely ignore her existence; Christopher really wanted to do the same, but with her sitting right before him, endlessly pestering, how could he not be disturbed?
So, naturally, his words were not polite.
Seeing Christopher agree to have dinner at her place, Sophia immediately jumped up from her chair joyfully, clenched her right fist, made a cheer-up gesture, and excitedly shouted aloud.
When she came to invite Christopher today, she had a 50% chance of success or failure. Unexpectedly, trying it worked, which truly was like the saying ’heaven rewards those who are willing.’"
Looking at Christopher’s compromise, a raging fire was ignited within Sophia’s heart, intensifying her feelings for Christopher, gaining more confidence in herself. She believed that as long as she persisted, she could eventually succeed, though Christopher had never thought in that direction.
In the office, Christopher looked at Sophia’s intense excitement with displeasure; he couldn’t understand how a 23-year-old woman could be so immature. Even when Seven had confessed to him at fifteen or sixteen, she hadn’t been as passionate or neurotic as Sophia.
Facing Sophia’s fervor, Christopher could only think of two words, "Idiot."
Regretfully, he was entangled by this idiot and had to accompany this idiot for dinner tomorrow — just thinking about it made his brain hurt.
However, a gentleman’s promise cannot be turned back, let alone the favor owed to this idiot.
After Sophia’s excitement subsided, she slapped both hands loudly onto Christopher’s desk, leaned over, and stared directly at him, saying, "Okay! I’ll come pick you up tomorrow."
"You go home first; I have to work. I can go myself tomorrow." Christopher looked at her enthusiastic appearance, feeling disgusted; he preferred driving to James Bennett’s house himself rather than being picked up by Sophia.
"No way, I’m picking you up; we have to go together." Sophia’s tone was both blissful and overbearing.
"Fine! Then leave now." Christopher compromised again; he thought, after all, he had agreed to join the family dinner; what difference does it make whether he’s picked up or not?
In total, after tomorrow night, all grievances between him and Sophia Bennett will be wiped clean.
Seeing herself finally getting Christopher on board, Sophia was all smiles. Then she took a big apple and a box of chocolates from her bag, placed them on Christopher’s desk, and said with a grin, "Although Christmas Eve has long passed, eating an apple will always bring peace."
"Besides, chocolate will make your mood better."
