No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 628 - 626: Don’t Be Like This [3 Updates]
That night, after Christopher threw away her apple, she kept worrying that Christopher wouldn’t have a peaceful year, so she picked out a big, red apple for him. As for the box of chocolates, she hoped that whenever Christopher thought of Seven and felt upset, he would eat a piece and feel much better.
Anyway, since she was a child, as long as she felt upset, eating chocolate would cheer her up.
However, she didn’t know that Christopher’s situation was different from hers. Her bad mood was because she wanted to eat chocolate, but her mom wouldn’t allow it, so eating chocolate instantly made her feel better.
How could Christopher’s emotional wounds be healed with just a piece of chocolate?
Christopher looked at the apple and chocolates the girl had brought him, took a deep breath, bit his lip, and said politely, "Thank you."
"No problem, you focus on work." Sophia said, standing up from her chair and waved goodbye with her little hand.
"No need to see me out!" Christopher’s attitude remained indifferent, unmoved by Sophia’s apple and chocolates.
"So, I’m leaving." Sophia’s eyebrows and eyes revealed an immensely happy smile as she slowly walked towards the door, reluctant to leave Christopher and wanting to glance at him a few more times.
But Christopher had already lowered his head to work, ignoring her.
Seeing he didn’t watch her leave, Sophia felt a bit disappointed, pouting unconsciously, looking a bit aggrieved.
Nevertheless, she didn’t bother Christopher again, keeping that small bit of disappointment to herself.
After leaving Christopher’s office, Sophia suddenly reopened the door, poked her head in, and cheered with a smile, "Christopher!"
Hearing Sophia’s voice once more, Christopher was almost driven to madness; weakly, he lifted his head and asked, "Is there anything else?"
Sophia chuckled twice awkwardly and said, "Umm... umm... can you remove me from your phone’s blacklist? I promise I won’t bother you randomly. I’ll just call three times a day, okay?"
Sophia had planned it out: three calls a day—one in the morning to wake him up, one at noon to remind him to eat lunch, and one in the evening to chat longer, hear about his day’s moods and stories, and then say good night.
Sophia thought her plan was perfect, but Christopher responded very seriously, "No way!"
Three calls a day, haha! She could make one call every three days, and he would still find her annoying. How could he possibly answer her calls daily?
"Christopher, don’t be like this! You don’t have this setup for anyone else, just for me. It’s so embarrassing for me." Sophia said, stepping further into the office.
Seeing her relentless pursuit of her goals almost drove Christopher crazy.
Her persistence was overwhelming, and he felt if he didn’t find a way to stop her, he’d be annoyed to death by Sophia.
If murder were not illegal, he would immediately strangle this woman to relieve his anger.
So, angrily glaring at her for a moment, he said extremely seriously, "Three texts a day; I’ll give a response after receiving them. One call a week, lasting no more than three minutes. If you can’t manage that, stay on the blacklist."
Christopher pondered for a long time and could only think of this way to appease Sophia; receiving the messages—simple ’hmph’ would suffice—a weekly three-minute call, he wouldn’t need to speak.
He could only deal with Sophia this way; otherwise, she’d drive him insane.
He continued, "You’re not allowed to come to my company unless necessary. It disrupts my work." Thus, practically isolating Sophia from himself.
Hearing Christopher’s harsh conditions, Sophia unhappily asked, "Won’t you also limit my talking to you when we’re gathered together and forbid me from looking at you for more than a glance? That’s too unfair to me."
Even though Christopher’s demands were strict, Sophia had no choice but to compromise. Three texts a day, one three-minute call a week was better than staying on his blacklist.
Regarding visiting his company, if he really wanted to avoid her, she wouldn’t be able to find him. To avoid Christopher disappearing from her sight entirely, she agreed.
Fortunately, she knew that Liam and his brothers often gathered—both large and small gatherings—they spent at least two or three days a week together. As long as she stayed close to Maya and hung out at their gatherings, she could often see Christopher, which was better than him avoiding her; as long as she wasn’t limited in speaking and looking at him, it was fine.
Christopher looked at Sophia’s pitiful expression without any sympathy, cold as ice, he said, "I’ll respond when necessary to what you say, and if not, I’ll pretend not to hear."
Christopher seemed to speak kindly, but truly, he thought, anyway, whatever Sophia said was nonsense to him, easily ignored.
Now crucially, he needed to send Sophia away and keep her from haunting him afterward.
Despite Sophia’s feelings of displeasure over Christopher’s demands, she nodded, "Alright! Three texts a day, one phone call a week not exceeding three minutes, cannot visit your company."
Seeing Sophia compromise, Christopher couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief, thinking finally he could be freed, finally not tangled with this woman; his mood inexplicably improved.
As for those agreements they made, let them go to hell!
"Now that it’s settled, go back! Stop disrupting my work." Christopher suppressed his inner excitement and said indifferently.
"Remove me from the blacklist, and I’ll leave." Sophia worried Christopher might act shamelessly once she walked away.
"Fine, removing! Removing!" Christopher glanced at Sophia nonchalantly, then grabbed his phone from the desk, tapped a few buttons, and removed Sophia from the blacklist.
Sophia saw this, immediately took out her phone from her bag, and dialed Christopher’s number.
Soon, she indeed heard Christopher’s phone ring, and she immediately hung up, explaining, "That doesn’t count, I was just checking if the call really went through."
"Alright, now it’s connected, go back then!" All Christopher wanted was for her to leave quickly.
With the call through, Sophia finally had a beaming smile and waved her little hand goodbye again.
"Whew..." After Sophia left and closed the door, Christopher let out a long breath and muttered to himself, "Finally got rid of that nuisance."
He stretched lazily, continued working, but his gaze fell upon the apple and chocolates on his desk.
Instantly, his brows furrowed again as he grabbed the apple and chocolates intending to toss them into the trash can.
But just as the apple and chocolates were about to fall into the trash, Christopher pulled his hand back again.
