Chapter 1878: Chapter 1878: Hayes Edwards Side Story (35)

Looks just like a doll.

Dribbling is still a bit difficult for third graders; many people’s balls roll off to the side midway, but Hayes Edwards remains steady.

Probably because he likes playing basketball usually.

Very quickly, Hayes crossed the finish line and came in first. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"Hayes, you’re awesome!"

Grace Winter seemed even happier than Hayes, clutching a small flag as she ran over directly.

"Hayes, you’re amazing!"

Watching Grace jump up and down in front of him, Hayes arrogantly raised his chin, "Of course I’m amazing."

The results of all the competitions will be announced tomorrow, and prizes will be given out together then.

Hayes still has dribbling and shooting contests, but those are scheduled for tomorrow morning.

"Hayes, I brought some tasty treats, do you want to try them?"

Grace blinked, her eyes bright, black and round, as though holding stars.

Hayes thought for a moment and agreed "reluctantly."

On the day of the fun sports event, the snack shop’s business was particularly good, yet because everyone went to watch the matches, the seats outside the shop were empty.

Grace opened the backpack she was carrying, pulling out two cartoon lunchboxes filled with cookies and small bread she’d made yesterday.

"I helped make these cookies and small breads," she excitedly introduced.

Little Chunk and a few other boys were quite surprised, thinking she was impressive.

Only Hayes snorted, "You just put them in the oven, right?"

After he spoke, he casually took a piece and put it in his mouth, indeed the taste was pretty good.

Grace watched him, feeling a bit tempted, but didn’t grab any to eat, instead asking, "Hayes, are they good?"

"Just average," Hayes commented.

After his evaluation, he grabbed another one.

Little Chunk really liked the taste, but hadn’t finished the piece he had, "Hayes, didn’t you say it’s just average?"

Average but eating so many?

Hayes finished one in two bites, and after eating, he clapped his hands and grabbed a bread, without changing his face, "I’m afraid you guys can’t finish and it’ll go to waste?"

Little Chunk looked at the lunchbox with only two cookies and three breads left.

There were six of them in total.

Can’t finish?

And Grace hadn’t even eaten yet.

"I have more here," Grace took out another smaller lunchbox from her backpack.

Only then did Little Chunk feel relieved and continued eating, "Grace, you’re really nice, I’ll treat you to a yogurt later!"

There’s yogurt sold in the snack shop.

"Okay, thank you," Grace nodded, obediently responding.

Hayes looked at the few people chatting and laughing beside him, bit into a cookie with a "crack," then stood up.

Grace asked him, "Hayes, where are you going?"

Hayes replied without turning his head, "Choked, going to buy water."

Little Chunk said, "Get me a bottle too!"

Hayes raised his hand, signaling he understood.

Since he bought a lot, the snack shop owner gave Hayes a plastic bag, worried he couldn’t manage, and even offered to help.

Hayes pursed his lips, taking it himself, "No need."

He’s not a kid, doesn’t need others to carry things.

The owner saw them sitting outside and didn’t say anything more.

Coming out of the snack shop, almost reaching the group, Hayes switched hands to hold the bag, straightened his back, pretending that the five bottles of mineral water were not heavy at all.
