Nine Revolutions Star Transformation-Chapter 93 - 94: Gravity Body Cultivation
Chu Linfeng struggled to get up from the ground and glanced at the Big Dipper overhead. Its starlight was no longer descending with Star Power, indicating that the star stones in the altar’s groove were exhausted, leaving behind an endless gravity.
"I can’t die here like this. There’s still so much I need to do!" Chu Linfeng felt every muscle and bone in his body groaning in protest, with each breath becoming increasingly labored.
"What kind of gravity is this? It’s unbelievably strong!" Chu Linfeng said with great difficulty.
"It should be a hundred times gravity; it’s unexpected to find it here. Not bad, not bad!" Sword Spirit Yue’er laughed at this point.
"’Not bad?’ I’m about to drop dead, and you find it amusing?" Chu Linfeng was even more infuriated upon hearing Sword Spirit’s comment.
"Why so anxious? I said it’s not bad because it isn’t. You might even break through to the Third Layer of Star Body; such an opportunity is rare. Don’t be ungrateful." Sword Spirit remained unperturbed, speaking with a hint of schadenfreude.
Chu Linfeng found even speaking difficult at this point. It felt as if ten thousand pounds were pressing on him, causing his legs to tremble uncontrollably, as if they might give out any moment.
Experiencing gravity’s weight on him for the first time, Chu Linfeng nearly lost his mind. The longer the time passed, the heavier the gravity seemed to grow. At this moment, he couldn’t even lift his foot to take a step forward.
Beads of sweat, large as beans, rolled off his face continuously, and his clothes were already soaked through. The only thing keeping him standing was his indomitable willpower.
The Earth Star Pill inside him was working frantically, with the Star Power spreading throughout his body, slightly alleviating his burden. However, this was exceptionally taxing, exhausting all his strength in less than half an hour, at which point he’d be crushed into a pulp by the gravity.
Chu Linfeng suddenly seemed to realize something. This was the number one Star Chamber, a place where Old Man Xu used to cultivate. He was a Celestial Martial Realm expert; naturally, the gravity here was several times that of other chambers.
Even a Celestial Martial Realm expert would find it dangerous, let alone his lowly strength. He instantly felt tricked and deceived.
Inwardly, he raged, "Damned old man, how dare you set me up like this? Even if you think highly of me, you shouldn’t put me in a chamber with such intense gravity!"
"Lin Feng, this isn’t like you. Use all your Star Power to resist; maybe you can succeed!" Sword Spirit’s tone was unchanged, still utterly unconcerned.
"You...you try it...and see!" Chu Linfeng forced out a few words, the weight on him evidently increasing, and he could no longer stand straight, ready to collapse at any moment.
"I won’t fall, this gravity is nothing!" Chu Linfeng shouted with all his strength, exuding an overwhelming aura.
If anyone saw his current appearance, they would surely feel like they were seeing a demon. His veins bulged fiercely, and his eyes were bloodshot like someone afflicted with inflamed eyes, his hair disheveled, looking indescribably ghastly, much like a demon crawling out from hell.
The cracking sounds of bones and muscles never ceased. The Earth Star Pill in his Dantian spun madly like a top, the only thing unmoved was the mysterious energy Chaos Qi and the Blood Shadow Frenzied Lion injected into him.
Taking a step forward felt like receiving a heavy punch, the pain unbearable, yet Chu Linfeng endured it, forced out three steps, a feat at his limit. The consumption of Star Power exceeded that of deploying martial skills.
"Bang!" With that sound, Chu Linfeng finally gave in, collapsing to the ground, this being his most wretched moment. He couldn’t move at all, the gravity of the ground felt even heavier, even breathing was difficult.
"Goodbye, Ruoxi. I can’t help you get the Ice Flame Crystal. Jingyi, I can’t take care of you either. Tang Li, Brother Xue, Niu Tian, Father, Chu Linyue, we’ll meet again in our next life!" Chu Linfeng thought despairingly.
"Pfft! Pfft! Pfft! Lin Feng, are you saying your last words? How come you didn’t think of me? That’s really unkind!" Sword Spirit Yue’er’s voice came through.
Chu Linfeng seemed to realize something, a flicker of hope brightened his heart as he quickly asked, "You haven’t been worried about my life or death this whole time. Do you have a way to help me?"
"Duh, I’m checking if there’s a chance for you to break through to the Third Layer of Star Body, and here you are playing dead with me, truly aggravating. Though breaking through the Third Layer might not be possible now, you can still use this gravity to train your body.
Drain all the Star Power within you, let Chaos Qi enter the Earth Star Pill, and the Star Power you absorb will slowly transform into Chaos Qi. This is the best way to change your physique and improve your strength."
Initially despairing, Chu Linfeng was amazed to find that at this crucial moment, Sword Spirit had a solution, even enabling him to change his physique in such circumstances. Perhaps only she could think of it.
The Star Power within the Earth Star Pill gradually diminished, and when it was completely depleted, Chu Linfeng finally succumbed to the pressure and fainted. He had already lost much blood due to the Magic Beast Egg earlier, and now the gravitational force was too burdensome, even for someone as strong as him.
As Chu Linfeng fainted, the small sword pattern on his forehead flashed with light, instantly enveloping him in a hazy glow.
"I hope you succeed this time in integrating Chaos Qi into the Earth Star Pill. Then, even if you’re only at the Third Level of Earth Martial Realm, you’ll be able to exert the strength of the Sixth Layer. Combined with your freakish martial skills, you’d stand a chance against the Seventh Level of Earth Martial Realm without losing."
Sword Spirit Yue’er, having returned to her true form, silently stood beside the passed-out Chu Linfeng, showing a mixture of worry and anticipation on her face.
"The time should be about right!" Sword Spirit Yue’er’s dim figure waved a jade hand, and dozens of star stones appeared from Chu Linfeng’s storage ring, subsequently flying in an orderly manner to the altar’s groove within a beam of light.
After doing this, Sword Spirit Yue’er transformed back into a small sword, appearing in between Chu Linfeng’s eyebrows. "If you hadn’t fainted, you might have seen me again. I’m so clever!"
With the Big Dipper shooting down Star Power, the gravity within the Star Chamber gradually disappeared, and Chu Linfeng awoke. Observing his surroundings, he questioned, "Sister Yue’Er, how did you manage that?"
"Don’t waste time asking, quickly absorb the Star Power, and slowly transform it!"
Chu Linfeng sat up immediately, every part of his body aching excruciatingly, yet he gritted his teeth and endured, slowly absorbing the Star Power. He noticed that the Star Power entering his Dantian was slowing down significantly, as was the rate of absorption.
"Don’t be surprised, your Earth Star Pill is now filled entirely with Chaos Qi. From now on, the Star Power you absorb will be converted into Chaos Qi. Though the process is slow, it’s extremely beneficial.
Absorb slowly, storing the Star Power in your Dantian; the Earth Star Pill will gradually absorb it. Although the current amount is only akin to the Ninth Layer of Black Tortoise Realm, it’s still quite good."
Chu Linfeng didn’t respond. He knew that Sword Spirit would not harm him. When he opened his eyes again, a miniature puppy appeared before him...
