Mythical Monster Evolution-Chapter 40: Preparation For a Future Evolution
Chapter 40: Preparation For a Future Evolution
"Kai!" Lily practically screamed as soon as she entered his room. "Are you fine? Did players find you already?" ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
Kai lay on his bed, frowning. "What are you talking about? Why would they have found out about me?"
"You haven’t heard?" Lily couldn’t believe her brother as she started shaking her head slightly. "Veyron has placed a bounty on your head for 1.5 million dollars to whoever manages to kill you inside the game. Literally everyone I’ve seen has been trying to find you and kill you!"
"Even some of the top players have decided to look for you, so they can get this bounty."
Kai’s face stayed neutral at those words. He didn’t care if the whole world was looking for him. They had no way of finding him; everyone was looking for a human while he was currently sleeping inside the Elven Territory as a Nocturne Dragon. No one would ever think of such a thing.
"Let them. None of them will ever find me."
Lily was still worried as she played with her fingers aggressively. "Tsk, what are you up to now? I saw that you left Blamblewick and headed north. Though, at one point, you disappeared from the map, probably because no human has explored the place you went."
"Hm, didn’t you say that you could choose to play as an elf?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Well, I’m in the Elven Territory. So, shouldn’t it be explored already?"
She shook her head. "No, we are not linked with the elves. The map only updates the places where humans went, not humanoids in general. Wait, but you’re in the Elven Territory? What the hell are you doing there?!"
"Looking for stronger monsters. They were starting to be a bit too weak."
"Just be careful, alright? Everyone is out for you."

A few moments later, after Lily left the hospital, Kai went right back inside the game as knocks could be heard on his room’s door.
Kai came out of the room, and a bunch of elves were standing before the door. The King was also present and was actually the one who had knocked.
"Your first wish has been completed. Please follow me."
It took a few minutes of walking, but they finally arrived at the destination, which was the elven dungeon where they would keep their prisoners locked up. However, surprisingly, most of their cells were completely devoid of prisoners. It seemed like the elves were quite the peaceful nation.
Instead of having prisoners inside them, all of the prison cells had been filled with ratbos.
That was Kai’s request; he wanted the elves to capture as many ratbos as possible. After all, the bloodlines he had obtained from them were clearly the most interesting and powerful ones. If he was able to obtain a large amount of them, then evolving into a Blue Dragon or even a Spirit might very well be possible or maybe a mix of both.
The evolutions were limitless and were still determined by the system.
Kai wasn’t sure when he would be able to choose his evolution, but he truly couldn’t wait.
Nevertheless, Kai dismissed his thoughts as the King’s voice echoed in his mind.
"Is this amount of ratbos fine, or did you want more of them?"
With a quick glance, there were at least over 50 ratbos inside the elven prison, and that was a very low estimate.
"Yeah, that seems pretty decent. Thank you for your help."
"Did you need help in killing them?"
"I’ll take care of it. Also, I would appreciate it if I could get some alone time here."
Kai headed toward the first prison cell where three ratbos were imprisoned. He opened the door and walked right in with a shilling grin stuck on his face as shadows covered his body from the ground up.

[You have obtained 100% of the bloodline necessary to evolve into a Ratbo.]
[You have obtained a large amount of bloodline to evolve into a Blue Dragon.]
[You have obtained a large amount of bloodline to evolve into a Spirit.]
[You have obtained a large enough amount of bloodlines stocked inside your evolution space. You are now able to choose how you wish the bloodlines to be mixed with one another.]
Kai looked at all the system messages appearing before him with a smirk.
He would finally be able to choose his next evolution. He still wanted to reach the 5th Growth Stage for the Nocturne Dragon. However, he knew that it would also take some time and that with the bloodlines he had stocked, he would be able to obtain a possible greater evolution that could be much greater than the Nocturne Dragon.
Kai sat in the middle of the dungeon room with dozens of corpses lying around him. However, he was completely indifferent to the situation.
"Isla, what do you think I should do? Should I take the Trial of Monsters and then evolve into something else?"
"Let me ask you a question first. In what kind of monster do you want to evolve at the moment?" Isla asked. "Right now, you are a pure-blooded Nocturne Dragon—a very powerful being. What would you want to mix it with?"
"The Blue Dragon bloodline, the Spirit Bloodline, and maybe use some of the Human Bloodline I got from killing those three idiots back then," Kai answered without hesitation.
Those three bloodlines were by far the ones that held the most potential.
"Hm, I agree with the draconic bloodline. It could be very powerful. However, I doubt it would be a smart thing to do with the Spirit King bloodline. As for the human bloodline, I have no idea if it would even have an effect given the small amount."
"Why? The Elven Spirit King seemed extremely powerful."
"You saw it yourself. He isn’t able to stay in this form for a long time. He needs to disappear since it is extremely hard to control your energy as a spirit when you are energy in itself." Isla shook her head. "My worry if you were to use this bloodline is that you would have a lot of trouble controlling the Monster Energy you currently have."
"But what if by only having a portion of their power I would only obtain their large amount of energy?"
"That could be possible. But that’s a very big gamble to make." Isla thought for a moment. "Well, you can always go back to your previous evolution if the next one is a disaster. Still, you’ll have to wait before evolving. It’s too risky to do it here. There’s a chance that someone might see you, and that would be a disaster."
Kai nodded, as he had already made up his mind. He would evolve into another creature—a creature that no one had ever seen or heard of. His very first creation.
