Myriad Devils-Chapter 262: The union of souls
The otherworldly creature itself was a member of creation that was dimensionally above mortal existence. There was no need for the five senses, because there was the soul, and the soul was, at the very least, unfathomable.
So even if the otherworldly creature sacrificed all five senses, the creature would not even consider such an act an actual sacrifice.
So what was the sacrifice of the Venerable Saintess that had ascended?
The otherworldly creature had a soul that nestled in the heart realm. This heart realm was naturally the mind, and the mind held the thoughts and intentions, and the creature’s will.
What was the sacrifice?
Naturally, it was the soul itself.
The World Tree desired the soul of its most perfect creation.
So the most perfect creation was inherently cursed from the very beginning.
Because even an otherworldly creature could not survive without their soul.
The soul was the core of the heart realm, and the heart realm was naturally the container of everything that made an otherworldly creature a sentient existence.
Without the heart realm, how could an otherworldly creature exist?
And without the soul, how could the heart realm exist?
The fourth Venerable Saintess, however, transcended the worlds with a third-world cultivation, experiencing an otherworldly rebirth and attaining a Transcendent physique.
Even after sacrificing her soul to the World Tree, the fourth Venerable Saintess did not die.
Indeed, the Transcendent physique was the pinnacle of physiques across the cosmic space!
With such a magnificent physique, even without a soul, her heart realm did not shatter and dissipate; however, from then on, she could not be considered a part of the living either.
A soulless husk, a living corpse, this was the fourth Venerable Saintess.
Upon losing her soul, she lost all five of her mortal senses; there was naturally no sixth sense either, and without a soul, her path of cultivation was similarly lost.
Comparatively speaking, the fact that, after losing her soul, the fifth Venerable Saintess had only permanently lost one of her mortal senses...
Though it was almost unprecedented and against common logic that an otherworldly creature was blind, due to the very nature of this situation, this was not a fate that was unacceptable.
This was greater than any of her predecessors.
The fourth Venerable Saintess transcended mortality at the pinnacle of the third world, but she was only in the initial stages of the third world when she ascended.
There were disparities between Transcendent physiques, and the fifth Venerable Saintess had a Transcendent physique that was among the best.
The Transcendent physique was the pinnacle of physiques across the cosmic space.
Indeed, hers was among the best of the pinnacle physiques.
.....
Mythralis was akin to a heavenly abode.
A pure realm unlike any other, containing an image of complex simplicity, a grassy plain containing infinite mysteries, and a single tree that touched the clouds... no, pierced the clouds... no, it was even taller than that...
Under the shade of a towering tree was a naked boy.
He had dark skin and a beautiful face, white hair, and gold eyes.
There was an intricate tattoo colored in gold etched onto his glabella, and many more divine tattoos that drew hypnotizing patterns all throughout his body.
He had a pair of angelic white wings that were each several meters long.
This angelic boy, seemingly banished from Heaven, yet still blessed by his Creator, intimately hugged a young girl with a dazzling appearance.
Her beauty stunned the eyes, brought water to the eyes, wetting the eyes. Sadly, she could not see her own beautiful appearance.
Her eyes were covered by a white cloth.
Her hair was akin to a silvery waterfall that glowed with starlight, and her lips had a subtle sheen that gave them a gentle glow, suggesting warmth and innocence.
Her ethereal appearance left the mortal angel with desire, endless desires. His eyes burned with golden intensity, like miniature sun stars.
They were naked, but they were no different than the first man and woman in the Garden of Eden, still pure and unaware of their nakedness. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
He hugged her and whispered into her ear.
Whatever he said caused her gently curved lips to part slightly and reveal her pearly white teeth.
Such a smile was akin to dousing one’s mind in a bucket of icy water, capable of freezing one’s own thoughts and rendering one speechless.
She tilted her head slightly and looked back.
Even though she was blindfolded, the angelic boy felt a gaze peer into his very sense of self.
Smilingly, she whispered back, a slight blush tinging her face, "The union of souls... let’s begin your half now..."
The light of the miniature sun stars brightened even more upon hearing her words. Anon revealed his own set of pearly white teeth and inched closer to her face.
Expounding on the Dao was an incredibly delicate matter that needed his full attention. So he took his time, savoring every bit of her...
.....
The one wielding the three Supreme characteristics of the Tri-Layered Truth resonates with the Ancestral Crown...
And the one who wears the Ancestral Crown...
Lord of the Lord’s World.
Expounding on the Dao and the union of souls.
With the assistance of the Omniscient Saintess, Anon’s understanding of the Principles of Fate, Destiny, and Inevitability began to dramatically rise.
Fate is voiced. Destiny is woven. Inevitability is etched.
For someone like him...
For someone in possession of these particular principles, it was difficult for him not to comprehend them at a greater rate when a vast amount of knowledge was at his beck and call.
In the process of exchanging insights into the secrets of the world, and as his principles were enlightened to a greater degree, Anon naturally came to many newfound understandings.
In truth, the first step to greatness was always the most difficult, and grasping hold of greater knowledge always made manifesting this first step much easier.
Meditating on the principles he held a connection to, the principles of Lightning, Curse, and Blood were all enlightened beyond ten percent, and the principle of Death was enlightened to eighteen percent, somewhat keeping up to his four base principles.
More importantly, these four base principles officially crossed the second great threshold, reaching twenty percent as well.
Across the cosmic space, someone who has enlightened ten percent of their principle could be considered as one who has mastery over their principle...
