My Wife Is A Miracle Doctor In The 80s-Chapter 468 - 462 Unique Medical Skills
Chapter 468: Chapter 462 Unique Medical Skills
“Did my grandfather have any exclusive medical skills that you passed on to that woman?!” Wei Jiani gripped her phone tightly in her hand, almost ready to smash it. “Why didn’t you give it to me instead of that woman, Tang Yuxin? Mother, how could you be so biased?”
“Nini, what nonsense are you talking?”
Sang Zhilan retorted sharply from the other end, “Do you need to be reminded how I treated you? How dare you accuse me of favoritism?! Have I spent a single penny on her or bought her a single piece of clothing? I would give up my dignity for your sake, begging her even though she disdains me. And now you’re telling me that I am biased because of some supposed ancestral medical skills?! You must know what your grandfather was like. He was a farmer his whole life, just like generations of our family who had no business skills. If there was any ancestral craft or medical skill, your uncles would have grabbed it long ago.”
Wei Jiani felt disgraced by Sang Zhilan’s harsh words but she also grew more discontented. Life was so unfair. Why were all the good things seemingly reserved for Tang Yuxin?
In the operating room, a bead of sweat rolled down Tang Yuxin’s forehead. She picked up a pair of scissors and snipped the thread.
“All done,” she tossed the scissors into the tray held by the nurse, “It’s finished.”
...
At that moment, everyone in the room heaved a sigh of relief. Yes, they were done, they had finally finished. The five-hour surgery had been exhausting, they had been effectively kneeling throughout. Though they were exhausted, Tang Yuxin had persevered, even if it nearly drained her of all energy.
“Can you get up?” a nurse asked Tang Yuxin cautiously, she seemed barely conscious.
Tang Yuxin shook her head, unable to rise.
With the help of several nurses, she finally managed to stand, but barely, and was wheeled out just as the patient was.

“Is that the surgeon?”
Jin Wenhan’s mother rushed over to Tang Yuxin. Refusing to let her son’s leg to be amputated, she was willing to spare no expense. As she saw the surgeons being brought out, she noticed two figures, a young patient with his arm in a cast and on oxygen, and a young woman who hardly looked like a doctor. Seeing as how she was so young, it was hard to believe.
“How is she?” The hospital director also came over. At the sight of an exhausted Tang Yuxin. he was both worried and irritated. “What reckless behavior! Is she trying to kill herself?”
“She’s exhausted, totally depleted,” another doctor replied. At this point, everyone admired not only Tang Yuxin’s surgical skill but also her character and medical ethics. Kneeling through a five-hour long surgery, without a single pause, and still managing to make the operation perfect, she had surely saved the young man’s arm.
The comment did nothing but agitate Jin Wenhan’s mother further. Her heart ached as if clawed at relentlessly.
“Then let her operate on my son!”
She grabbed the side of the hospital bed. “Even if it kills her, she has to finish the operation.” In truth, she wasn’t usually this unreasonable. But as a mother desperate to save her son’s leg, she had lost all reason.
“Another surgery?” one doctor pointed at Tang Yuxin. “Look at her, she can’t even stand. How is she supposed to operate on your son? She just donated bone marrow, do you know how painful that is? She has already completed a five-hour surgery, and you want her to perform another?”
“That’s their duty as doctors,” Jin Wenhan’s mother clung to the bed. “Aren’t doctors supposed to save lives? If you’re not saving lives, what good are you?”
“Ma’am, we also want to save lives,” Li Jia, who could no longer restrain herself, burst out. She had entered the operating room with Tang Yuxin and had been kneeling for over five hours too. Jin Wenhan’s mother’s obnoxious behavior was a provocation too far.
“Madam, doctors are humans too. We get tired. We can run out of energy. She,” Li Jia pointed at Tang Yuxin, “kneeled throughout that five-hour surgery, she can’t even wake up. You tell me how she is supposed to operate on your son, while passed out?”
Jin Wenhan’s mother’s eyes turned red. Gripping the side rails of the bed fiercely, she shook Tang Yuxin. “Get up, get up! Stop playing dead. My son is waiting for you to save his leg. Get up now or I swear, if anything more happens to my son’s leg, I’ll make sure it’s the end of you.”
Tang Yuxin opened her eyes slightly, the sparkle in her eyes had faded. Her lips were so tightly drawn, she looked like she refused to say a single word.
It wasn’t her who had caused the injury to her son’s leg. What did it have to do with her being a doctor?
A mother like that probably didn’t have the best sort of son anyway. Why should she save him? For all she knew, not saving him might prevent future troubles for society.
So, she didn’t want to save him.
She closed her eyes again, continuing the act. Sorry, but she lacked the strength just then. One surgery was her limit and she had already exceeded it. She could do no more for him.
No matter how much that woman kicked up a fuss, threw a tantrum, or threatened her, Tang Yuxin was impervious. Soon after, she was pushed back into her ward and hooked up to an IV drip. Drifting off into a hazy sleep, she was simply too tired and needed the rest.
Unbeknownst to Tang Yuxin, the moment she was moved out of the operating room, Jin Wenhan was rushed back in for emergency treatment. His leg was turning black, and if amputation wasn’t performed soon, what was initially supposed to be an amputation above the ankle would likely have to be done above the knee or even higher. The more they waited, the more severe his condition would become, and the greater the disability.
“Mrs. Jin…” Wei Jiani began to speak, but Jin Wenhan’s mother snapped her head around, her eyes bloodshot.
