My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 69: How About...
"Take good care of them."
"Yes."
As she got out of the car, Melody Thorne marched inside with anger.
"Melody!" A small figure dashed out from inside the villa’s living room, rushing straight at her.
"Timmy?" Melody Thorne looked at the little figure clinging to her, feeling as if all the darkness around her had suddenly been dispelled. She hugged the little darling tightly and showered him with kisses.
Little Timmy had gotten used to Melody Thorne’s kisses over the past few days, and he habitually wrapped his arms around her neck, depending heavily on her, "Where did you go?"
When Timmy’s arms touched her neck, Melody Thorne frowned slightly. Her neck had been injured by a shard from the broken bottle when she was dragged by her ankle, so it hurt a bit.
Jared Quinn followed Melody Thorne in, and as she hugged Timmy and laughed, his steps paused slightly as he glanced sideways. The anger on the girl’s delicate face had almost instantly been dispelled, replaced by the image of a lotus emerging from clear water, bashful and adorable...
"Are you hurt?" Timmy quickly noticed, pulling open Melody Thorne’s collar to look, revealing a long red mark.
Timmy felt a bit distressed, "Does it hurt?"
"It doesn’t hurt," Melody Thorne explained. "It’s just a scratch; it doesn’t hurt."
Speaking, she deliberately moved her neck to show Timmy, "See, it doesn’t hurt at all."
"Butler, bring the medicine over," Timmy ordered.
"Yes, yes, yes," the butler hurried off to find the medicine box.
Just as Melody Thorne was about to sit on the sofa with Timmy for a heart-to-heart talk, a pair of big hands took Timmy away.
"Give him back to me," Melody Thorne angrily tried to snatch him back.
Jared Quinn’s eyes glanced over her body with disdain in them, "You’re filthy. Go take a shower."
Melody Thorne looked down at herself. Her clothes were dirty; she had been lying on the floor of that abandoned building, so her clothes were already dirty.
"Baby, wait for me a bit," Melody Thorne turned upstairs.
"I don’t mind her being dirty," Timmy glared angrily at the man holding him.
Jared Quinn put him down, "She’s dirty and smelly now, and she’s hurt. Shouldn’t she shower and rest?"
Timmy glanced back at the time; it was already past ten.
"Okay then," Timmy turned and headed upstairs, but worriedly looked back, "You better not bully her again."
Jared Quinn "..."
He nodded; he wouldn’t stoop to bullying a woman.
Seeing him nod, Timmy was finally relieved and went upstairs.
Jared Quinn did not immediately return to the bedroom but made a phone call outside, "Find out who kidnapped Melody Thorne today; I want to see them within two days."
"Yes."
The butler hurried in from outside with the medicine box. He initially intended to take it upstairs, but his gaze fell on his young master. Old Master Qin had said to promote their relationship by any means necessary.
"Young Master," the butler offered the medicine box, "You’re going upstairs to sleep now, right?"
Jared Quinn’s gaze coolly swept over him, like X-rays penetrating the body, seeing a person’s thoughts, "Who said I’m going upstairs to sleep?"
Butler "... It’s late, and weren’t you just worried about the young lady’s injury? She certainly won’t be able to apply the medicine alone, so why don’t you..."
