Chapter 824 - 822 Again

Lilith tried to use her all of her mental power to figure out some way for Liz. If she is unable to properly use the Soul Energy she would die in a battle that could not even matter. Then it donged on her.

"Liz, come back and try again. This time we are going to try and speed up you process. Amber and Margaret I need you both to keep the both of us safe. If anything feels wrong knock us both out immediately.

Violet I need you to make a comfortable spot for the two of us. We will be trying a lot to ensure that Liz does not need help anymore after today.

As for the rest of you, watch and learn. If no progress has been made. I will personally see to it that all of you immediately get at least a shot tomorrow." Lilith told them.

Their eyes were wide. They did not expect so much from Lilith right now.

"If only Rex knew that this was going to be troublesome." Lilith thought.

Meanwhile

The eighth straight storm that Rex as walked through. The amount of Lightning and Rain that has poured and shot him would be catastrophic to the Realms. He felt it, the power behind such devastating water and lightning. There was no way to avoid the true power of the storm.

"I am sorry for choosing this path. I beg you to at least allow me to catch my breath before allowing storm number nine hits." Rex spoke.

Each of the other storms lasted what felt like an eternity and not even a half of a blink did the next storm come up.

He heard it. For the eighth time he heard the fainting cries of the storm dying down. He hoped that he could actually do this. When the storm stopped. He sat down cross legged.

"Thank you kindly. Give me just a minute." Rex spoke.

He did just that. He caught his breath and began to circulate his Qi. He felt it to be stronger than before.

He stood up right as his minute was up. The Ninth storm came upon him. The lightning so fierce that just one strike felt that his bones already shattered.

He forced himself to continue. Another strike. This one seemed to make his lungs stop just momentarily. He forced himself to continue. The third strike hit him. His vision went out completely blind at this point. He hoped his other senses would stabilize him. The fourth strike hit, numbing his sense of touch. The Fifth strike hit him, his chest was on fire. The Sixth strike struck, his spine almost got destroyed. The Seventh strike, his arms were gone. The Eighth strike, his legs vanished.

"Just a bit more. Come on." He did his best to crawl.

The Ninth struck. Everything turned into a beautiful ocean in his view. What could only be described as a fairy flew around him.

"Welcome to the Land of Godly Soul Energy"

The fairy left. Rex knew that he had made a mistake. The fairy stopped in its tracks and flew back to Rex.

"I am sorry. I forgot to mention a problem. You can explore this area as much as you like. You can enter this area of entrance but not back towards the Forbidden Entrance." The fairy spoke and left.

"Seems good enough." Rex spoke. He did just that. He explored the region with this sea.

The fish jumping looked more like small bluegill fish than anything. Then a massive shark jumped out engulfing all the fish right there.

Nothing seemed scared of anything. It was all just happily cycle. Rex continued to explore. The areas seemed to become more and more dangerous as he explored. The coastline seemed to be filled with humans, demons, beastmen, and fairies all whom seem very much intent in destroying him. Rex went to see how the first selection would be.

In the Fifth Heavenly Realm

"Everyone. Listen up." A middle aged woman spoke.

"This year we have been graciously given twelve applications to enter the Mortal Realm to visit the Soul Temple. Hold up before cheering though.

We will not allow just anyone to enter. If that would be the case, we all know who would enter. So to be perfectly fair, only the ones who considered part of the current generation can sign up.

Hold up before cheering. We also have checks on each person who will enter. When you sign up, you will be given a date to make an appearance before Peacock and Deathholder.

If you truly have nothing to hide. You can sign up, if you feel like you have something to hide, I suggest you do not sign up. That is all from me. Deathholder wanted to say a few words." The woman handed the center of the arena to Deathholder.

"It is always a pleasure to talk to each and everyone of you. The number twelve has always been coveted. We have been unfortunate for the past fifty years not to be drawn. That I believe is the reason why we were chosen but I am not sure.

So, while we decide to sign up or not. Allow me explain part of the sign up process. Anyone who is currently part of the current generation meaning my son or younger. You will go to the corner booth in that section over there." Deathholder pointed. "You will meet Peacock in the corner. Yes, I mean a Peacock and the only Peacock. She will be doing two things. First making sure you are of age. If there is a slight difference of age depending on what is decided you might be able to in the selections. By slight I only mean by up to 50 or possibly 100 years depending on circumstances.

Next, once we have all the applications in. We will sort through them. All names, all genders, no discrimination against anyone in particular. If your record is too bad, meaning in the arena and outside the arena. You will not be permitted. If either one is terrible and you are great in the other. You might not be permitted. Only those who seem truly good can enter the Soul Temple.

I hate to say this but I have to. If we get more than twelve participants ready to enter. We will hold a battle for the contenders. Those who win. Do not have to advance. Only this who lost will advance. Only those who have the least amount of loses will be able to able to advance. We are taking this seriously for this is one of the greatest times to be alive." Deathholder shouted.

The crowd began to cheer, Again another good speech. Deathholder laughed and waved to the stands. His smile allowed even the little folks to want and sign up.
