My Girlfriend Is So Beautiful, But She's an Assassin!-Chapter 88: Lia’s Plan To Invite Julian To Join The Mission Part 3
Meanwhile, at Dragon Komodo XI St., Central Jakarta.
*metallic screech* the sound of long, sharp weapons being dragged across the asphalt of the area.
The streets in the area saw Bounty Hunter personnel arriving, wearing various masks and clothing. On the rooftop of a three-story cafe—12 meters high—sat two members of the Squirrel Squad assigned to guard the areaa. They both wore black caps, bulletproof vests, and black sweatpants. Their names were Qyuan Darmia and Galio Darmia. Qyuan weighed 80 kg and was 170 cm tall, while Galio weighed 100 kg and was 182 cm tall. Qyuan was heavy because he was fat, and Galio was heavy because he was muscular.
"How many are there?" Qyuan asked.
Galio—who was watching with binoculars—answered.
"100" Galio replied.
"Shit, there are so many!" Qyuan said anxiously.
"Some of them seem to be from a guild or have formed a party" Galio said.
Qyuan looked at the Bounty Hunters who were standing there, confused by the silence in the area.
"I agree with you... although my vision isn’t clear from here, I can see some of them wearing the same clothes and some wearing the same masks," Qyuan said.
"Are you sure we can win?" Qyuan asked.
"I see none of them are wearing masks from the upper 10 ranks, so I think we still have a chance" Galio replied, his eyes focused on the Bounty Hunters.
"Great!... Then we can win easily!" Qyuan said enthusiastically.
"Okay, call Lady Lia and tell her the situation" Galio said.
"Okay!" Qyuan said.
Qyuan sat on the floor with his back to the parapet, then took his phone from his right pocket and called Lia.
"Hello" Lia said into the phone.
"Ah! Hello, Miss Lia, it’s Qyuan, reporting the situation here—" Qyuan replied.
"BOOM!" came the sound of a bomb exploding.
Qyuan was startled and looked back.
"What was that!?" Qyuan asked.
"They threw small bombs, apparently to lure residents out of their homes" Galio replied.
"Qyuan, what happened?" Lia asked.
Qyuan returned his attention to the phone.
"AH!"
"A-ano... The Bounty Hunters have arrived at the location, and they’re throwing small bombs to lure residents out of their homes" Qyuan replied.
"I see, you’ve evacuated the residents, right?" Lia asked.
"Yes, Miss Lia... We’ve rented a hotel and told them to evacuate there, it’s 6 km to the east," Qyuan replied.
"Good, what are they doing now?" Lia asked.
"This is bad!" Galio said anxiously.
"CRACK!... CRASH!... THUD!" the sound of Bounty Hunters destroying civilian property.
"They’re starting to destroy civilian property" Qyuan replied in surprise.
"Then prepare the Smart Electro Kunai. We’ll be there in 10 minutes—if there’s no traffic" Lia said.
"Yes, Miss Lia!" Qyuan said.
Qyuan hung up the phone. Then he crept toward the belongings they were carrying and placed them by the exit.
Smart Electro Kunai—a compact weapon that launches kunai that store an electric charge and release it upon impact. Each kunai is made of titanium coated with a conductive graphene layer and embedded with microcapacitors. The kunai’s design appears slightly wider than a regular kunai—not because of its rugged design, but because of the technology hidden within. The tip of the kunai is hollowed out so sensors can detect the target’s body. This design ensures easy penetration and precise activation of the electrical discharge system.
Meanwhile, on the front of the launcher, a small camera functions as a target lock-on system. On the back, a mini touchscreen displays the camera’s captured image in real time. Through this system, the launcher can lock onto up to 12 targets simultaneously—depending on the ammunition it has.
The launcher functions not only as a launcher but also as a charging unit for the kunai. Before launch, electrical energy is transferred directly to the microcapacitors inside each kunai.
How it works:
The user places a fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor to activate the system, then enters a password via the touchscreen. Once authentication is complete, the launcher’s system locks onto the target using camera-based imaging and displays the captured target on the screen for user confirmation.
Once the target is confirmed, the launcher calculates the optimal firing angle and sends a launch authorization. The front cover opens quickly, and all the kunai are launched along a predetermined trajectory. The kunai don’t chase the target—they simply travel in a pre-calculated direction.
When the blade pierces the target, the bio-contact sensor automatically closes the circuit, releasing a neuromuscular disruption pulse capable of incapacitating the victim for up to ten minutes. This technology has never been commercially available—it was born from illegal research circulating in the depths of the dark web.
They both carried two smart electro kunai, each containing 12 kunai. Galio stopped watching and took the smart electro kunai. They placed the devices on the parapet.
"Well, at least with this, we can incapacitate them until reinforcements arrive" Qyuan said.
"You’re right, we also brought ammunition, right?" Galio asked.
"Yes, and you charged the ammunition last night, right?" Qyuan asked back.
"Yes, Tia said everything was set up properly" Galio replied.
"Good, now—LET’S BEGIN!" Qyuan said enthusiastically, looking down.
They both positioned their weapons downwards, pressed their fingerprints against the fingerprint sensor, and quickly entered a four-digit number. The red reticles began to lock onto their targets.
"Confirm Targets?" the system notified.
Qyuan and Galio looked at each other and nodded, then simultaneously pressed the Confirm button.
The front cover opened quickly, and before long, all the kunai shot out with a loud bang. The bounty hunters who heard the sound searched for the source of the sound—but before they could find it, the kunai had already embedded themselves in their limbs.
"Eh? What’s this?" the 31th-ranked junior bounty hunter asked, looking at the kunai embedded in his right chest.
"THIS IS DANGER—" the 20th-ranked senior bounty hunter shouted.
Before he could finish his sentence, the people hit by the kunai were simultaneously electrocuted.
"GYAAA!!!... UWAAHH!!!... KHHKK!!!... AKHHH!!!" they screamed.
The rioting bounty hunters suddenly stopped attacking and turned toward the screams.
"W-what the hell is going on!?" the 42nd-ranked junior bounty hunter asked as he stood next to his 40th-ranked junior friend.
After the shocks stopped, 42nd-ranked tried to resuscitate his friend.
"O-oi, are you okay?" 42nd-ranked asked, shaking his friend.
But his friend didn’t respond.
"H-he fainted!?" 42nd-ranked said with a shocked expression.
"Hee~, some of them fainted, huh?," Qyuan said with a proud smile.
"Looks like they’re physically weak" Qyuan continued.
"Qyuan, don’t get excited yet... You prepare the Electric Bombs, I’ll prepare the water" Galio said, holding a hose connected to a ball valve installed on the rooftop.
"Roger!" Qyuan said, nodding his head.
Qyuan immediately placed the device on the floor and headed for his backpack, which was located near the exit. He carried it to the parapet.
"Okay, I’m ready" Qyuan said.
Galio nodded, then aimed the end of the hose directly in front of the still-confused bounty hunters and opened it. Water surged out instantly—fast and powerful—the hose delivering force comparable to that of a fire hose. The water flowed rapidly—startling the bounty hunters, who began to retreat, while those near the flowing water ran and regrouped. The floodwaters were already up to their calves.
"Throw it now, Qyuan!" Galio said firmly.
"Okay!" Qyuan said.
Qyuan quickly activated the bombs and threw them down.
"By exploiting the damaged roads and closing all the drain grates in this area—it will cause flooding and cause electricity to flow over the water... That way we can buy time until the team arrives" Galio thought to himself, his gaze remaining focused downward.
"Tch! Damn it!" the 25th-ranked junior Bounty Hunter said.
One of the bounty hunters looked up.
"Hey! Look, there’s someone up there!" shouted the 41st-ranked junior Bounty Hunter.
Luckily, Qyuan and Galio were already wearing squirrel masks that covered their foreheads and noses.
"I think I’ve seen that mask before" the 20th-ranked senior Bounty Hunter said.
"It’s party time, Qyuan" Galio said, still holding the hose.
"Yes, let’s cut them!" Qyuan said enthusiastically, holding the Black Mandau with his right hand.
Black Mandau—sword originating from the Dayak tribe in Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Galio looked down.
"I think that’s enough... You turn off the valve first, I’ll buy time and attack their rear guard" Galio said.
"Okay, brother!" Qyuan said.
Qyuan left Galio. Galio turned the hose to the right, and the water slowly stopped flowing. Galio placed it on the floor, stood up straight, and with his left hand, he drew the black mandau from its sheath—spinning the sword with his left hand, and stopping it with the sharp blade parallel to his nose.
"Party Time!" Galio muttered in a deep voice.
