My Girlfriend Is So Beautiful, But She's an Assassin!-Chapter 86: Lia’s Plan To Invite Julian To Join The Mission Part 1
At 13:20, the koi pond to the left of the third building.
Under a big Jacaranda tree with its lush purple-blue flowers, Julian and Anindya stood—facing each other, Anindya’s expression sweetly smiling—impatiently eager to hear what Julian had to say. Julian, meanwhile, had a serious expression.
"Julian... What you said earlier... Is that true?" Anindya asked hesitantly.
Julian smiled and said.
"After much thought... I’ll join you guys. I can’t let you—" Julian said.
"YAYYY!!! WE DID IT, LIA!" Anindya interrupted happily, jumping up and down.
"Eh?" Julian said with a confused expression.
Suddenly, Lia emerged from behind the Jacaranda tree. She was wearing a white T-shirt with a pink dolphin design, tucked into black athletic shorts that reached her knees, her hair in a ponytail, and she was wearing contact lenses.
"Congratulations~!, Lady Anindya. It turns out our plan worked~!" Lia said with a sweet smile.
"Eh? Plan?... W-what plan are you talking about?" Julian asked with a confused expression.
"Let me explain," Lia replied.
Flashback, Wednesday, 14 August, 2080, 06:00, Anindya’s First Home, Ir. H. Juanda IA St., Central Jakarta.
Anindya had finished showering and was wearing her yellow mission outfit. She was standing on the right side of the sofa—looking annoyed.
"Khek!... Why is there a mission so early in the morning!?" Anindya asked with an annoyed expression and tone, her body hunched slightly.
"What can I do, Lady? This mission is to find the headquarters of one of the Lateral Roots" Lia replied, sitting on the sofa and putting on her smart shoes.
"Ugh!... But if I do it early morning, I won’t be able to meet Julian at school!," Anindya said with an annoyed expression.
"I don’t care, I’m not going!" Anindya continued.
Anindya started to turn around and walked back to her room. Lia smiled slightly, then said.
"Wait a moment, Lady Anindya" Lia called, having finished putting on her last shoe.
Anindya stopped walking.
"Let me tell you an interesting fact about this mission" Lia said.
Anindya turned to face Lia.
"Interesting fact?" Anindya asked with a confused expression.
"Do you still remember what Lavendina said?" Lia asked.
Anindya clenched her right fist and said.
"Yeah, I still haven’t forgotten about those intimate photos of her and Julian!!" Anindya replied with an angry expression and tone.
"Ah, forget it, you already deleted those photos anyway" Lia said with an awkward smile.
"You right... Never mind, let’s get straight to the point" Anindya said, still angry.
"Okay, do you still remember what Lavendina said about Julian being attacked by a group of gangsters?" Lia asked.
"Yes" Anindya replied with a sharp gaze.
"Well, this time’s mission is to protect the territory of the gangsters who attacked Julian" Lia replied with a serious expression.
Anindya crossed her arms across her chest.
"HAAAH!?... are you crazy!? Why should I protect the gangsters who attacked Julian!?" Anindya asked in annoyance.
"Wait a minute, I haven’t finished explaining" Lia said.
"Then what’s the next explanation?" Anindya asked.
Lia smiled and walked over to Anindya. When they were close, Lia whispered in Anindya’s right ear.
"The gangsters who attacked Julian... Today their area will be attacked by their boss—the person who’s targeting you two" Lia replied.
Anindya’s expression immediately changed to one of surprise. Lia moved away—keeping a distance of 2 meters from Anindya. Soon, Anindya’s expression turned serious—her gaze sharp like an eagle’s.
"Then... I’ll join this mission!" Anindya said with a serious expression.
"Good, let’s go now" Lia said with a smile.
"I’ll catch their boss, that way I can protect Julian!" Anindya thought to herself with a sharp expression.
"So, who will join us?" Anindya asked.
"You, me, Bonang, and the Squirrel Squad" Lia replied.
"Why Squirrel?" Anindya asked.
"Because the area is suitable for them" Lia replied.
"Haa... Okay, whatever" Anindya said.
Anindya began to remove her hands from her chest and walked ahead.
"I’ll go to the car first... Don’t forget to bring my mask" Anindya said as she walked.
"Okay, Lady Anindya," Lia said.
Upon arriving at the front yard, Anindya was greeted by a representative from the Squirrel team, Lahoka Darmia—a 25-year-old man, weighing 50 kg and standing 165 cm tall. He had a pink low fade hairstyle, a thin black beard, brown eyes, and olive skin tone. He was wearing a black tracksuit with white stripes and a white, and black batik headband with a squirrel eating a nut logo in the center.
"Good morning, Lady Anindya!" Lahoka greeted, standing upright and saluting with his right hand.
Anindya didn’t answer—she looked at the two Rubicon 4xe Plug-in Hybrids—where eight members of the Squirrel squad were relaxing. The Squirrel team members were wearing the same outfit as Lahoka. Noticing Anindya’s gaze, the members who were smoking and eating immediately stopped and saluted Anindya.
"GOOD MORNING, LADY ANINDYA!" they said firmly in unison.
"Good morning, everyone" Anindya replied casually.
"So only men are joining? Are Wuxia, Yinyin, Laventia, and Lunaris not joining this mission?" Anindya wondered.
Then Anindya looked back at Lahoka.
"Good morning to you too, Lahoka" Anindya said.
Lahoka immediately smiled when Anindya answered his greeting.
"Lahoka, where is Wuxia?" Anindya asked.
"Miss Wuxia is on a mission in Aceh, Lady Anindya!" Lahoka replied firmly.
"I see... So you’re in charge of this team?" Anindya asked.
"Yes, Lady Anindya!" Lahoka replied.
"So, it could be said that Wuxia has divided its squad into two teams?" Anindya asked.
"YEAH!, You’re right, Lady Anindya!" Lahoka replied.
"Hmm... Okay..." Anindya said.
Anindya walked past Lahoka, saying,
"Okay, I’m counting on you" Anindya said.
Lahoka felt happy and excited after hearing Anindya’s words.
"OK! LEAVE IT TO ME!" Lahoka shouted enthusiastically.
Anindya walked to her Wrangler Rubicon—parked in front of the Squirrel Squad car. Before heading to her car, Anindya stopped and saw Bonang standing and leaning against a mango tree. Bonang’s eyes were closed, as if she hadn’t noticed Anindya’s arrival.
"Hey!" Anindya called.
Bonang opened his left eye for a moment, then closed it again.
"What?" Bonang asked.
"Where’s your greeting?" Anindya asked, her tone slightly raised.
Bonang didn’t answer. He closed both of his eyes, recalling the past—when he wanted to join the Darmia family.
"Fight this child, if you win then I will accept you and you can be by Lia’s side" Darmia said while pointing at Anindya who was 10 years old and whose hair was still black.
"HAH!?, are you crazy!? ordering me to fight with your daughter—who is a weak girl!?" Bonang asked irritably.
"You should—" Bonang continued rebelliously.
Bonang suddenly froze, feeling a murderous aura that made her heart pound.
"What is this!? Is this coming from Darmia!?" Bonang thought in shock.
The atmosphere became tense, Bonang looked at Darmia, but he felt nothing when looking at him.
"Huh!? Don’t tell me..."
Bonang immediately turned to Anindya—to find the girl staring intently with a blank, emotionless expression.
"W-When I look at her... I-I don’t know why my heart is pounding so fast... I can’t even move my body" Bonang thought tensely.
The atmosphere between them grew tense for two minutes. Then Anindya finally opened her mouth, and Bonang instantly became alert—taking a defensive stance.
"Papa..." Anindya said in a cold tone.
Darmia turned toward her.
"What is it, sweaty?" Darmia asked.
Anindya pointed at Bonang with her right hand.
"How could I possibly win against that man... Just look at his body, he’s much bigger than me" Anindya replied coldly.
The aura that Bonang felt slowly disappeared, she stood up straight with a confused expression.
"Somehow... the atmosphere feels calmer" Bonang said to himself.
"Hahahaha, you’re right. Sorry about that... Papa was forcing you too much" Darmia said while laughing.
Darmia looked at Bonang.
"Alright then... I accept you into my family, You don’t need to change your surname" Darmia said.
Darmia’s expression turned serious and stern.
"But if you betray us, we’ll all target you in our family hunt" Darmia warned.
"Understood! I swear I will never betray you!" Bonang said firmly.
The flashback ended.
Bonang straightened his posture and spoke.
"Please forgive my rudeness" Bonang said politely.
Bonang placed his right hand on his right chest, then bowed slightly and said.
"Good morning, Lady Anindya," Bonang greeted respectfully.
"Great. Good morning to you as well" Anindya replied.
"Are you the one driving my car?" Anindya asked.
Bonang straightened his body.
"Yes" Bonang answered.
"Very well. I’ll get into the car first," Anindya said.
"You don’t need to open the door for me, I can get in myself" Anindya continued.
Anindya began walking toward the car.
"Understood, Lady Anindya" Bonang replied.
"I don’t know her true powers yet... So I should be wary of her, and most importantly..." Bonang thought to himself as she watched Anindya walk away.
Bonang grinned to himself.
"...I get to stay by Lia’s side, muhehehe~" Bonang thought.
