My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 98: The Aphrodisiac

Alira couldn’t describe Benjamin’s reaction when he saw Gregory Allen. A mixture of anger and embarrassment surrounded the old man.

The public was shocked to see Gregory alive. Thousands of comments jammed the live broadcast and now in favor of Caden.

Caden’s chuckle broke the chattering noises from the people inside the room. He crossed his legs, placing his hands on the chair’s armrest. His silver eyes focused on the camera as if he was talking to the public.

"Mr.Allen, why don’t you tell everyone what happened two days ago?"

It wasn’t a question, but an order. His icy glare and cold tone would make anyone tremble.

Gregory hesitated at first, but seeing Caden’s eyes staring at him without blinking, he had no choice but to speak.

"I–I was ordered to place bottled water in the vending machines near the classroom of the Platinum Class, particularly the one near to the Crown Prince’s. I have no idea of the reason. I thought it was a harmless drink. But Miss Wilson experienced a weird reaction after drinking it. The Crown Prince’s bodyguards approached me. I already had this feeling that they know I put the bottled water, but didn’t actually apprehend me." He paused.

Then Gregory looked at the camera. "I wasn’t dragged by them. I begged them to take me. Maybe when some of the students saw me, they mistook the scene. I was forcing myself to get into the van and the royal guards were actually pushing me out."

"Can you tell us the reason of your action?" The reported from Media Tech asked.

"Well, when I found out that the bottled water has side effects, I got scared. I told them I will admit my mistake to the Crown Prince, in exchange for protection."

"Why do you need protection?" Another reporter asked.

Gregory cleared his throat. "I am an orphan sponsored by Mr.Michael Cerro to study here in Golden Oak. He’s Mr.Benjamin Miller’s secretary. I owe them a lot. I have no choice but to obey their orders, or they will kill me."

"Are you saying that they were the ones who told you to put the bottled water?" The principal asked.

Gregory nodded. "Yes. But I swear I had no knowledge that it has an aphrodisiac."

"What? An aphrodisiac?" The principal was shocked hearing Gregory’s confession. "Is it true? How many bottles did you put around the campus?"

"Around one hundred." Gregory Allen answered.

"Oh my! We have to hurry!" The principal was obviously worried. He was shouting at the teachers present inside the room. "Search the school and take all the bottled water from the vending machines!"

"Mr.Principal, you don’t need to worry. My men swept the whole campus and got them. However, the total number of bottled water we collected is eighty two. If you put one hundred bottles, we’re missing eighteen of them. Oh, seventeen excluding the one my fiance drank." Caden said.

"Are you certain that there is an aphrodisiac in that bottle?" One of the school committees asked.

Caden nodded at Ed. The latter handed them some documents.

"We sent a sample of the water for chemical testing and those are the results. The active ingredients in the water were alarming. MDMA or ecstasy, amphetamine and bufotenin. Those were substances that could increase someone’s sexual desire and behavior. But I am concerned about bufotenin, it was reported to have psychological side effects if taken more than the legal dose."

Alira was surprised. She could also hear some chatters from the reporters. Caden didn’t mention about the side effects of the water so she was a bit worried.

"If the water has a mixture of aphrodisiac then the students who drank it would have the same effect as Miss Wilson. Do you admit that she had experienced an increase in sexual desire? How did she managed to bare it?" One of the reporters asked. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Caden chuckled. "Why don’t you just ask if we had sex?"

Alira blushed. She was supposed to get mad of Caden for being so bold, but she would have to control her emotions. She took a deep breath and looked straight at the camera.

"Caden helped me. So, yes. We made love. If everyone wants to know about it. We planned on building a family and having kids, so why do we have to wait? Besides, once Caden ascend the throne to become king, he would need an heir. I’d rather give it to him as soon as possible." She said in a firm tone.

Caden was the one surprised by her statement. He was happy that she wanted to give him an heir though.

The reporters were shocked and had raised a lot of questions, talking at the same time. Caden raised his hand to stop them.

"The matter with me and Alira can be discussed in another time. We will soon return to Flousia, but we will be having a press conference before moving back to our country." Caden casually answered. "Now, let’s go back to the main issue."

The reporters didn’t force them to answer. Some of them took some notes to remember what Caden said about having a press conference before leaving. Then a young woman from Media Tech raised her hand to ask a question.

"Your Highness, are you saying that aside from the increase in sexual desire, there’s a more serious side effect of that water?"

Caden nodded. "One of the substances is bufotenin. In 1985, it was reported that a dose of eight milligrams or more could cause extreme anxiety, a sense of imminent death, and visual disturbance. It was tested on humans, but they stopped because of those side effects."

"Do you think the mafia is trying to test it on the students?" Another reporter followed a question.

"Well, students could be addicted to it. If they like the feeling of pleasure, they will continue to drink it. And what do you think they would do?" He asked.

"Make more to make money." One of the teachers whispered.

"Exactly! My grandfather only wants two things. Ruin everyone’s lives and make money for himself."
