My College Teacher is My Children's Mom-Chapter 687: His Brother, Bald!
As Lin Feng started to help clean up, Wen Xiaoya quickly stopped him.
"No, no, that’s alright. I can do it myself."
"We’ve booked the restaurant. I’ll head out as soon as I finish tidying up. Please, have a seat. I’ll be quick."
Two children came pitter-pattering out, with Si Bao following behind them.
Mi Fan came over with eager eyes and asked Lin Feng, "Uncle! Uncle! Did Sister Xiao Bao take a plane to the beach?"
Lin Feng hummed in response. Seeing how envious the children were, he coaxed them, "Next time there’s a chance, you can all go with your sister."
As if kids this young could wait until ’next time’!
With a wail, Mi Fan ran to find his mother. "Mom, I want to go play with Sister Xiao Bao! I want to go to the beach, catch crabs, and play!"
Cai Cai followed his older brother, wailing as well. "Mom, I want to go to the beach too! I want to play!"
Wen Xiaoya explained to the children, "Sister Xiao Bao went with her teachers and classmates. It’s a school-organized activity!"
"We’ll all go together next time there’s a chance, okay? Be good. Once Mom finishes tidying up, we’ll go eat. Dad is joining us today."
Mi Fan pouted and grabbed his mom’s phone to call Xiao Bao.
Xiao Bao was wearing a watch phone, and the video call connected in no time.
On the other end, Xiao Bao was having a blast with her classmates. She even showed Mi Fan and Cai Cai a crab she had caught, which was just adding fuel to the fire.
As soon as the video call ended, Mi Fan started crying. Cai Cai started crying too.
"I want to go play with Sister Xiao Bao! I want to go find Sister Xiao Bao!"
The two children were making such a fuss that Wen Xiaoya’s head throbbed. "Don’t tell me, tell your dad."
After passing the buck to her husband, Wen Xiaoya finally had some peace and quiet.
"I’ll just freshen up a bit and be right out."
She went into her room to quickly get ready.
Meanwhile, Mi Fan immediately called his dad.
As soon as the call connected, the two children started howling. Lin Jie soothed them, saying they would discuss it when they met later.
Si Bao, afraid it wasn’t chaotic enough, fanned the flames by whispering in their ears.
"It’s only the second day of vacation. You still have five days to play."
"Besides, one of you is in senior kindergarten and the other just started junior. Your teachers won’t say anything if you play for a few more days."
Lin Feng came out of the bathroom and glared at his son. "What are you talking about?"
Si Bao flinched and winked at the two little ones.
The children ran to knock on the bedroom door.
"Mom, hurry up! We’re going to find Dad!"
"Wait for me, I’ll be right out!"
"Mom, hurry up, hurry up!"
Are you trying to hound me to death? Ugh, did I give birth to two little debt collectors?
Taking one child out required packing several bags and took a while, let alone two.
Perhaps because a guest was present, the children were better behaved than usual, saving Wen Xiaoya a lot of hassle.
When they drove to the restaurant, the parking lot was full, so they had to find another spot.
Ever since having children, Wen Xiaoya’s driving skills had gotten rusty; she was always overly cautious.
It was the peak dinner hour. With no other choice, Lin Feng said, "Let me drive."
He parked the car in a few quick maneuvers, and Wen Xiaoya breathed a sigh of relief.
After they got out, Lin Feng carried Cai Cai. Si Bao shouldered the supply backpack and also carried Mi Fan, giving Wen Xiaoya a moment to rest.
Cai Cai stared blankly at Lin Feng, seemingly confused. He looked surprised that his mother wasn’t the one holding him.
Lin Feng teased him, "What’s wrong? Don’t you recognize your uncle, huh?"
"I’m Sister Xiao Bao’s dad. Remember Sister Xiao Bao?"
Only then did it click for Cai Cai. He beamed at Lin Feng, looking absolutely adorable.
When they reached the restaurant entrance, they were greeted by Lin Jie.
Lin Feng’s eyes held a hint of disbelief. My brother... he’s gone bald!
Oh my god, my brother is bald!
"You’re here! Come on in, this way."
Lin Jie saw his brother’s incredulous gaze sweep over the top of his head, and his heart ached.
Just then, the tactless Si Bao made a cutting remark.
"Uncle, your hair seems a lot thinner than the last time we met."
"Shut up," Lin Jie feigned scolding him. "You wouldn’t understand the pain of us middle-aged men."
Si Bao’s eyes were filled with pity, and he grinned, not treating Lin Jie with the deference due an uncle. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
"That must be *your* middle-aged man’s pain, then. Look at my dad’s thick head of hair. Why isn’t he going bald?"
Lin Jie was speechless.
That’s going too far!
Lin Feng felt sorry for Lin Jie. He was so young yet already so bald. As he got older, would he end up with a bald patch on top?
Judging by how fast it’s thinning, it’s not impossible.
"Lin Jie, don’t work yourself to death. It doesn’t look good to go bald so young."
Lin Jie looked helpless, his expression clearly saying, *You’re not bald, so you can’t understand my pain.*
"Bro, I’ve tried my best. What can I do if my hair insists on falling out?"
Si Bao chimed in with a grin, "You could get a hair transplant. It’ll only cost a few tens of thousands to a few hundred thousand."
Encouraged, Lin Jie smiled. "I’m already in touch with a transplant doctor. I’ll get it done after the New Year."
Then he looked at Lin Feng’s thick, dark hair with immense envy. "Bro, how do you do it?"
Lin Feng paused. "Maybe I just have a good mentality."
Lin Jie was speechless.
Initially, Lin Feng hadn’t thought much of the anti-balding skill the system had given him. It was only when he noticed more and more people around him, both men and women, starting to lose their hair that he truly appreciated the skill’s miraculous effect.
Wen Xiaoya’s parents seemed to be growing younger. Nowadays, when they weren’t occasionally helping their daughter and son-in-law with the kids, they were traveling and sightseeing with Zhou Cuilan and the others.
After dinner, Lin Feng went back to the apartment with Si Bao, as he was heading home the next day.
"I’ll sleep on the sofa tonight."
Si Bao exclaimed, "Why? The sofa is so small, Dad. How will you sleep?"
Lin Feng just gave him a look.
Si Bao quickly asked, "Is it because I toss and turn in my sleep? In that case, you take the bed. I’ll sleep on the sofa."
He couldn’t let his dad be uncomfortable, no matter what.
Lin Feng simply said, "No need. I’ll be fine here. You have to get up early for work tomorrow, so get some sleep."
Si Bao went and lay down on the sofa. "Dad, I’m sleeping on the sofa. You go sleep in the bed."
When do you realize your child has grown up? It’s probably moments like this.
Just after eleven at night, Lin Feng got up to use the bathroom. As he passed the sofa, he couldn’t help but say, "Go to sleep early. Don’t stay up late on your phone; it’s bad for your health."
Si Bao didn’t move an inch under the blanket. Lin Feng added, "I saw the light from your screen just now."
Si Bao fell silent.
He poked his head out with a cheerful grin. "Dad, I’ll go to sleep right after I finish this video."
Lin Feng didn’t say anything more.
These past few years, between taking care of Xiao Bao, who was in elementary school, and Zhang Yuxi’s new focus on a healthy lifestyle, Lin Feng’s own routine had become very regular.
The next morning, Si Bao felt a bit embarrassed watching his dad tidy up the room while he ate breakfast.
"Dad, just leave it. I’ll clean up later."
Lin Feng finished organizing the wardrobe neatly. "I’m almost done."
"If you’re too busy or just don’t feel like cleaning, hire a part-time cleaning lady."
"As a man in his twenties, you need to keep not only yourself tidy, but your living space as well."
Of the four children, Si Bao had the worst life skills. When he was a child, his room was always the messiest and the smelliest.
After breakfast, without needing a reminder, Si Bao scurried to the kitchen to wash the dishes.
