My College Teacher is My Children's Mom-Chapter 681 Xiao Bao’s Completion
Si Bao reached out to carry Xiao Bao, but Lin Feng stopped him. "Xiao Bao is already so big. We don’t carry her, understand?"
Although Xiao Bao was the second child and doted on by everyone, this spoiling wasn’t really done by Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi. It was all her four older siblings, her cousins, and the other relatives around them. There was no helping it; she was currently the only young girl in the family. Even Mi Fan, who was much younger than her, joined in on the spoiling. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Lin Feng was helpless against it, but fortunately, Xiao Bao hadn’t developed any spoiled habits and remained quite well-behaved. By the time she reached that troublesome age that tries everyone’s patience, Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi had no worries, as their children took turns looking after one another.
Xiao Bao pouted, trying to be cute. "But Daddy, I’m so tired today!"
This time, Lin Feng didn’t give in, but her two older brothers softened immediately. Si Bao stepped forward. "It’s okay, Fourth Brother will carry you! Our little Xiao Bao worked so hard. What’s wrong with carrying her a bit? She’s our little princess, she deserves to be carried!"
Lin Feng sighed, powerless. She was almost nine years old, not one or two. It just didn’t seem right for her brothers to carry her everywhere, did it? But the children were grown up now, and his words didn’t carry much weight anymore. It wasn’t like when they were little and listened to his opinion on everything. Now that the quadruplets were adults, he had to respect their thoughts sometimes.
Da Bao, who was involved in scientific research, had been level-headed since childhood. Standing beside his father, Lin Feng, he was every bit as composed.
When Si Bao glanced back at Lin Feng, he couldn’t help but marvel. Our dad is still so young! After all these years, he looks completely unchanged. It’s enough to make anyone jealous!
Da Bao and Si Bao were only staying for one night, which made Xiao Bao pout, her face a mask of unhappiness. She missed the days when her brothers and sisters were all around her, when the family was lively and bustling, and no one dared to bully her.
Si Bao coaxed her, "Is the little princess unhappy?"
Xiao Bao pouted defiantly. "No!" she said unconvincingly.
Si Bao consoled her with a grin. "When Brother has time to come back, I’ll bring you a present, okay? Whatever you want, Brother will buy it for you!"
Xiao Bao never lacked anything. Everyone in the family, including herself, was wealthy. "I don’t really want anything. I just want you to stay a few more days when you come back!"
Si Bao’s heart softened. "Alright. In a few more years, Brother will retire and play with you every day!"
Xiao Bao didn’t believe him, but she was still very happy. "How about we all go on a trip then? The entire family!"
Xiao Bao loved a lively atmosphere and looked forward to the whole family getting together more than anything.
Da Bao smiled faintly. "Alright. My work here is almost finished, and then I’ll have time to play with you."
Xiao Bao nodded firmly, trusting him completely. "Okay!"
Si Bao was a foodie, and Xiao Bao wasn’t far behind. The two of them got together and just ate and ate.
Meanwhile, Lin Feng was discussing work with Da Bao. Before long, however, Lin Feng had joined the ranks of parents pressuring their children to get married. "You two, are you dating anyone?"
They both said no.
Lin Feng absolutely didn’t believe them. "You’re lying to me!" His sons were so outstanding, how could they not be dating? Who were they trying to fool? Besides, Lin Feng had only asked because he’d heard certain rumors.
Da Bao and Si Bao protested their innocence.
Lin Feng laughed, exasperated, and pointed at Si Bao. "I heard you fancy a certain female coach where you work, is that true?"
Si Bao looked as if he’d been struck by lightning. "Dad, you, you..." His expression was a dead giveaway.
Lin Feng then turned to question Da Bao. "And what about that young lady we met last time? She likes you, doesn’t she? And you? What are your thoughts?"
Da Bao, however, was far more composed than his brother. "Dad, plenty of girls like me, but I’m not interested right now. I just want to focus on my work and finish my current projects."
Seeing Da Bao’s expression, Lin Feng figured there was no hope there. That child had always been decisive, so Lin Feng hadn’t really expected much from him in that department anyway. He turned and leaned in to ask Si Bao, "Tell me about that girl. What stage are you two at now?"
Si Bao shrank into the corner, trembling slightly. "Dad, she’s the daughter of a high-level executive there. Right now, we’re just friends."
Lin Feng encouraged his son. "Seize the opportunity. If you like her, pursue her bravely. You have to grasp happiness for yourself!" Then, on second thought, he comforted him, "But if you really can’t win her over, that’s okay too. A melon forced from its vine is not sweet. Take your time; there’s no rush."
Si Bao nodded. "I understand, Dad."
Lin Feng had raised them little by little since they were two months old, worrying about every single thing. Now that his children had stable jobs and were of marriageable age, he couldn’t help but start worrying about their love lives.
Xiao Bao blinked. "Fourth Brother, will you still like me when you have a sister-in-law?"
Si Bao smiled. "What are you talking about? You’re my sister. I’ll like you whether I have a sister-in-law or not!"
Only then did Xiao Bao feel relieved.
After dinner, they went for a walk to aid their digestion. Da Bao was on the phone from one end of the street to the other, all of it about work. He even had to reschedule his flight to an earlier time.
"Dad, Xiao Bao..." he started, feeling apologetic.
Lin Feng, though reluctant to see him go, was understanding. "Go on, attend to your work. Just call or send a message when you arrive. Don’t worry about us. The most important thing is to take care of yourself. Just call home when you have time."
Da Bao respected Lin Feng from the bottom of his heart and considered him an amazing father. He squatted down and helped Xiao Bao fix her braids. "Xiao Bao, something came up with work, so Big Brother has to leave early."
Xiao Bao’s eyes reddened. "Okay. If you get tired, make sure you rest well. And remember to call me."
Da Bao kissed her forehead and gave her a gentle smile. "I will."
After saying goodbye to Si Bao, Da Bao hurried off.
They all stayed up late playing. The next day, while Xiao Bao was still asleep, Si Bao said his goodbyes to Lin Feng. "Dad, I’m leaving Xiao Bao in your care. Please take good care of yourself! Call me if anything comes up. I guarantee I’ll be back for the New Year."
Lin Feng smiled. "Guarantee you’ll bring a girlfriend back with you."
Si Bao laughed. "I’ll do my best."
When Xiao Bao woke up later and saw that Si Bao was gone, she wasn’t surprised. "How annoying," she mumbled.
Life went on, and before long, Xiao Bao had finished filming her parts for the movie. Since school was about to start, the production team had hurried to accommodate her schedule.
How to describe it... The sight of Lin Feng on the film set, tutoring Xiao Bao with a second-grade textbook... well, her big, utterly lost eyes were just heartbreaking. The rumors about Xiao Bao’s poor grades had always been treated as a joke, but it turned out they were actually true.
Xiao Bao studied laboriously while Lin Feng taught with immense frustration. Their struggle provided endless amusement for everyone else. To keep Xiao Bao from falling behind, the director also made sure to wrap up her scenes quickly. It was as if everyone was thinking: *We can’t let filming delay the child’s education!*
