Chapter 632: Chapter 632: Is It Difficult for Me?

Xiaobao perked up in the car.

They arrived home after a drive of more than twenty minutes to find that Lin Feng had already prepared a meal.

"Wash your hands and eat!"

Xiaobao finished washing her hands and sat on her own little stool.

Lin Feng asked her how her day was.

"It was tiring," Xiaobao admitted frankly. "And we couldn’t just talk whenever we wanted. The teachers were all very strict."

Lin Feng explained, "That’s because you’re all big kids now. You need to take school seriously and learn!"

Xiaobao mumbled an "Oh," yawning as she ate.

Third Sister picked up a bowl to feed Xiaobao. "Eat up. You can rest for a bit after this, then it’s time for your nap."

Xiaobao smiled sweetly. "Thank you, Third Sister."

Lin Feng was fuming. He was too embarrassed to admit that his own daughter, a first-grader, still needed someone to feed her. How humiliating!

Lin Feng’s expression darkened. Xiaobao, being perceptive, quickly took a few bites and said she would do it herself. Only then did Lin Feng’s expression soften.

After the meal, they rested for a while. At one o’clock, it was time for her nap. She was old enough to nap by herself now and didn’t need anyone to accompany her.

A child with older siblings, however, is truly blessed.

Third Sister carried her upstairs and coaxed her to sleep.

"I can’t watch this," Lin Feng said, turning away. "Who’s going to wash the dishes?"

After he spoke, he went off to do other things.

Eldest Brother immediately stood up. "I’ll do it."

Fourth Brother also stood up. "I’ll help!"

In their family, the girls were to be protected, so the two boys often handled the household chores. When the children were younger, Lin Feng had insisted on fairness, with all four rotating household tasks. Now that they were older, he let them sort it out among themselves.

Lin Feng went up to his study to get back to work.

Third Sister told Xiaobao that she would be leaving that night.

Xiaobao was sad to see her go. "When will you be back?"

"I’ll come back whenever I have time," Third Sister said, her voice soft and doting.

Xiaobao nodded. "Then, Third Sister, be careful and take good care of yourself."

Third Sister nodded.

Xiaobao added, "And remember to bring me a gift, okay?"

Third Sister tapped Xiaobao’s nose. "Of course! I could forget anyone else, but I’d never forget my Xiaobao!"

Xiaobao giggled.

"Quick, go to sleep!" Third Sister urged her.

"I can’t sleep," Xiaobao said, blinking her big eyes. "How about you play the violin for me?"

Oh, so she’s ordering room service now, is she?

Third Sister retrieved her violin. Lin Feng happened to catch sight of this but said nothing.

Xiaobao closed her eyes in enjoyment and gradually drifted off to sleep. Only Xiaobao could enjoy the privilege of having this musical prodigy at her beck and call.

Once Xiaobao was asleep, Third Sister tiptoed out of the room.

Aside from the energetic Fourth Brother, who had gone for a swim, everyone else in the house took a nap.

Class was at two-thirty, so Fourth Brother came to wake Xiaobao up. He patted her bottom. "Xiaobao, time to get up for class."

Xiaobao rolled over and turned her back to him, mumbling, "No, I want to sleep more..."

Fourth Brother glanced at the time. "You can’t sleep anymore, it’s almost two o’clock!"

Xiaobao seemed to stir for a moment, but then she went still. She had probably fallen asleep again.

Just then, Second Brother and Third Sister came over, followed moments later by Eldest Brother. With so many people around, Xiaobao couldn’t have fallen back asleep even if she wanted to.

Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she was taken by Third Sister to wash her face, which helped her wake up. Then came combing her hair, tying it into little braids, and changing her clothes.

After all the bustling about, Xiaobao was finally alert enough to remember that she was a grade school student now.

Second Brother remarked, "See? Taking care of just one kid is this exhausting. How did Dad ever manage the four of us back then?"

Xiaobao’s ears perked up, and she immediately asked, "Am I a lot of trouble?"

"Of course you are," Second Brother laughed. "Just think about how long it took us to get you out of bed."

"You little lazy pig, all you know is how to sleep!"

Xiaobao pouted. "But I was really sleepy."

After dropping Xiaobao off at school, her four older siblings found a place to hang out until it was time to pick her up.

When Xiaobao returned to the classroom, her classmates gathered around, their faces full of envy.

"Xiaobao, your brothers are so handsome! And your sister is super pretty!"

"My older sister always bullies me. Do your brothers and sisters bully you?"

"I wish I had so many brothers and sisters, too. I asked my mom to have more, but she said she couldn’t. It makes me so sad..."

"My brother is so ugly, and he always bullies me. Can we trade?"

In the afternoon art class, the teacher asked the students to draw any kind of fruit.

Xiaobao drew and colored a black apple and a green banana.

The teacher casually asked, "Is this a black plum?"

Xiaobao shook her head. "This is a black apple."

The teacher was taken aback. "Why a black apple?"

"It’s poisonous, isn’t it?" Xiaobao replied. "It’s for Snow White."

The teacher paused. "But if it’s black, why would Snow White eat it?"

Xiaobao stated matter-of-factly, "Because Snow White would think it’s a black plum."

I feel like you’re calling me stupid, but I have no proof!

Then the teacher inquired about the green banana, "Is this a cucumber?"

"This is a green banana," Xiaobao responded. "It’s not ripe yet!"

Her expression seemed to ask how the teacher could not know something so simple.

The teacher was speechless.
