My College Teacher is My Children's Mom-Chapter 633: Erbao’s Studio
School let out in the afternoon.
Xiaobao stood outside the school gate, sighing heavily.
Seeing her like this made her older siblings laugh.
Unlike Xiaobao, who had an innate disinterest in her studies, the others had no aversion to learning. On the contrary, they enjoyed the happiness that came from it and never put any pressure on themselves.
Xiaobao hung her little head. "What am I going to do? I’m only in first grade. There are so many years until college graduation."
The thought was terrifying!
Sibao picked Xiaobao up and said, not very sympathetically, "So what? Just stick it out and it’ll be over before you know it."
Sibao’s academic performance was the worst among the four. However, his physical fitness more than made up for it; he was the most energetic of them all, unmatched by the others.
Xiaobao sighed again. "I need some comfort!"
Her older siblings, quick on the uptake, asked, "What do you want?"
Xiaobao replied with a serious expression, "I think some chocolate and ice cream would comfort me."
With these two things, her mood improved slightly.
When they arrived home, Xiaobao saw the suitcases belonging to Dabao, Sibao, and Sanbao.
They were all leaving tonight!
Xiaobao, who had just been starting to feel better, was unhappy all over again.
Erbao smiled. "I’ll stay at home with you! Aren’t you happy?"
Xiaobao answered earnestly, "I am, but every brother and sister is different!"
Each of her siblings was a unique individual. Although their love for her was the same, the feeling was completely different.
At the dinner table, Xiaobao instructed them like a little adult.
"You all have to take care of yourselves! When I have a school holiday, I’ll come and visit you!"
"And when you have time, please come back soon, okay?"
Dabao nodded. "I’m not too far from Jingcheng, so I’ll come back to see you whenever I have time!"
Sibao quickly chimed in, "We’ll come back together."
Sanbao just nodded.
Xiaobao then added, "When you come back, remember to bring me presents! Anything is fine; it’s the thought that counts!"
Her words made everyone laugh.
After dinner, Xiaobao insisted on going with Lin Feng to see her brothers off at the airport.
Lin Feng would arrange for a shipping company to transport Dabao’s and Sibao’s cars to Jingcheng. The boys had wanted to drive there themselves, but Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi were unanimously against it.
No way. They couldn’t rest easy letting them drive for a full day and night. It wasn’t as if the family was short on money for shipping fees.
By the time they returned home, it was already nine-thirty. Lin Feng casually asked, "Do you have homework tonight?"
Xiaobao thought for a moment, and her expression suddenly changed. "I think so."
The class chat group no longer announced assignments, so neither Lin Feng nor Zhang Yuxi knew what the homework was. They had assumed that since it was the first day of school, there wouldn’t be any.
"What is it?" Lin Feng asked.
Xiaobao pursed her lips. "Write the numbers one to ten, each on its own line."
"And write the letter ’a’ four times, one for each tone."
Lin Feng glanced at the clock. "Hurry up. Dad will get some hot water ready for you to wash your feet."
Xiaobao pressed her lips together and scrambled to get her schoolbag to rush through her homework.
As a teacher herself, Zhang Yuxi really couldn’t stand Xiaobao’s attitude. But this was her own daughter. Even if her approach to studying was poor, she couldn’t just give her a beating, could she?
Zhang Yuxi came over, frowning. "Organize your books properly. Separate your homework and classwork notebooks."
Xiaobao acted as if she hadn’t heard. She found her homework notebook and buried her head in her work.
Zhang Yuxi glanced over and couldn’t help but say, "Xiaobao, can you please write neatly? Your ’a’ looks like an ’O’. Where’s the tail?"
Xiaobao made the tail longer, but then it looked like a ’Q’.
Zhang Yuxi found an eraser and wiped away all the sloppy letters, one by one.
Xiaobao was stunned. All her hard work had been for nothing.
Her eyes reddened, and she looked like she was about to cry.
Zhang Yuxi’s face was stern. "No crying. If you don’t write properly from now on, Mom will erase everything."
With a loud WAIL, Xiaobao burst into tears.
Zhang Yuxi had no intention of comforting her. She just said flatly, "I’m only giving you half an hour. If you don’t finish, you’re going to bed. I won’t let you make it up."
Hearing this, Xiaobao stopped crying and quickly wiped her tears with her sleeve.
She began to write, seriously this time.
Zhang Yuxi watched from the side, noticing a significant improvement. In truth, she was very busy and had a lot of her own work to do.
Lin Feng watched from a distance. If I go over to help, he thought, Xiaobao will definitely see me as her protector.
In every family, some matters required one person to be the good cop and the other to be the bad cop. Xiaobao already disliked studying. If her attitude toward homework wasn’t corrected, she would surely develop many bad learning habits in the future.
Finally, Xiaobao finished her language homework.
Zhang Yuxi was reasonably satisfied. "See? As long as you focus, you can write well, can’t you?"
Next, Xiaobao started her math homework.
Zhang Yuxi supervised as before, casually flipping through the textbooks when she had a free moment. Then, in the Chinese textbook, she saw that Xiaobao had been doodling. She had drawn a little flower on a child’s head, added wings to a rooster, and given a goose a necklace, turning it into a beautiful swan.
A vein throbbed on Zhang Yuxi’s forehead.
She stood up, acting casual, and walked over to Lin Feng, whining playfully, "Honey, look what your precious daughter has done."
Lin Feng took the book curiously and then laughed.
"Well, she’s quite talented."
Seeing that Zhang Yuxi was unhappy, Lin Feng consoled her.
"It’s alright. Remember when we were in school? We used to doodle all over our textbooks. Thinking back, it’s actually quite nostalgic."
"Xiaobao isn’t very enthusiastic about her studies. We shouldn’t force her. Let’s just let things take their natural course."
Zhang Yuxi pursed her lips, a helpless look on her face.
When Xiaobao finished her math homework, Zhang Yuxi checked it. She erased the sloppy numbers, and Xiaobao rewrote them.
When she was finally done, Xiaobao felt that her life was just too hard.
After she had washed up, Lin Feng said goodnight and closed her door. One evening, after a slightly awkward incident, the couple had unanimously decided to sleep in separate rooms. Xiaobao was a brave girl. Lin Feng had a talk with her to get her on board, and even had her teacher do the same. Just like that, Xiaobao cooperated without any crying or fussing. Children always had a way of surprising their parents.
「The next day.」
Erbao took Xiaobao to school. Now that Erbao was at home, she was in charge of the morning school run.
"Goodbye, Erbao!" Xiaobao waved.
Erbao smiled slightly and waved back.
Just then, an elderly woman came over to greet Erbao.
"Young lady, do you have a boyfriend?"
This wasn’t the first time Erbao had encountered such a question. "I already have a boyfriend."
The old woman didn’t look disappointed. "That’s okay! My grandson is outstanding, he’s studying abroad... Hey, don’t leave!"
Before the woman could finish, Erbao had already walked away without a backward glance.

Back at home, Erbao brought up her desire to rent a studio.
Lin Feng suggested that since their house had so many spare rooms, she could easily use one as a studio. If she worked from home, he could also take care of her meals. Once the studio grew, she could move out then.
It was a good suggestion, but after careful consideration, Erbao still decided to rent a space outside. She was about to hire people, and once their training was complete, they could start working.
Seeing Erbao’s insistence, Lin Feng said no more.
「Three days later.」
Erbao rented an entire floor for her office. Her company had been registered for some time, but now that it had relocated, it was finally starting to look like a proper company.
